10I always assumed those blue orbs were lights. I don't think what they are was ever brought up in the story. Why a robot would needs lights, I do not know. Maybe it was very dark in the original pit?
1well i see it as very powerull light so he could see even in the darkest corners. and so he could see far in the dark water

Also I think it's the most recognizable and well known form of it, with it being the one used for the commercials and promotions and stuff. 111) Because they are focused on bigger things. With the sheer power the Makuta have, they could wipe out the DH in fairly short order if they wanted to bother. It takes time for the stone to work, because it absorbs power little by little. Also keep in mind that you need enough Toa in range to absorb a lot of power. At the time Tuyet was using it, there were thousands of Toa in the universe -- now there are about 50.
