1SPOILERS::: 2This post contains spoilers at the bottom.

3I've been holding out.
41. Is there a reason why the Mangaia is getting lava by it getting funneled to it by pipes?
52. I asked you before about what the Rahkshi on Metru Nui were for, and you told me that they were wandering servants. What exactly were they doing as efecient servants?
63. What's more powerful, a Krahli or a Vahki?
74. Assuming you'd say Krahli, would a squad of Vahki be able to take one down?
85. Does the Coliseum serve any purpose other than sports?
96. What do the Matoran do with the staffs of captured Rahkshi?
107. How are the Vahki powered?
118. How did Lake Naho get plugged up?
129. In Metru Nui, did the sun under Ko-Wahi freeze over, or does the sunlight always shine through all of the ice, snow, and whatever may be underneath.
1310. Since the Toa can control thier element, does Nokama have the inability to do so, due to the lack of H2O on Metru Nui, or does she control liquid proto?
1411. Takanuva is the strongest of the regular Toa, right?

151) Because the lava is molten protodermis that comes from Ta-Metru.
162) I don't think I ever described them as wandering servants. Since they do not have a mission from Makuta, they are basically wild creatures in Metru Nui who wandered there by accident.
173) Probably a Kralhi.
184) Yes. A Kralhi's powers would not work as well on a Vahki as they do on Matoran.
195) Yes. It is also home to Dume's chambers, the power plant, and storage facilities.
206) Put them in storage.
217) They are able to draw power from the central power plant through their hives and store it.
228) You mean the sun? Well, it is underwater, so you really can't get much light through that way anymore.
239) Sunlight does come through the ice, but the ice was not always there.
2410) She controls liquid protodermis on Metru Nui.
2511) Takanuva is a powerful Toa, but his control of light is about equal to Tahu's control of fire and Nokama's control of water. So I would not say he is the mightiest of them, no.

271. Is there a reason why the Mangaia is getting lava by it getting funneled to it by pipes?
285. Does the Coliseum serve any purpose other than sports?
298. How did Lake Naho get plugged up?
309. In Metru Nui, did the sun under Ko-Wahi freeze over, or does the sunlight always shine through all of the ice, snow, and whatever may be underneath.

325) Yes. It is also home to Dume's chambers, the power plant, and storage facilities.
338) You mean the sun? Well, it is underwater, so you really can't get much light through that way anymore.
349) Sunlight does come through the ice, but the ice was not always there.

35Does that mean Takanuva is weaker than the rest of the Toa, even though he's thier leader?
36I think you understood me on 1 and 5.
371. Why is it getting funneled to the Mangai?
385. I already knew that part. How should I put this...is the "game area" ever used for things other than tournaments?
39As for 8 and 9, I have a few more questions
401. Since when was Lake Naho stopped up?
412. When did the sun over Ko-Wahi freeze over?

42Thanks for the answers I already have, and thank you for these in advance.

431) First off, who said Takanuva was leader of the Toa? We never said that. Takanuva has been a Toa for all of five minutes, he's not going to push aside someone as experienced as Tahu. Nor does he want to. And no, he is not a Toa Nuva, so he is not on their power level.
442) Has to get funneled someplace. Either that or melt the entire city.
453) Training
464) When it became a lake.
475) During the events of this year's movie.
48Greg

491) First off, who said Takanuva was leader of the Toa? We never said that. Takanuva has been a Toa for all of five minutes, he's not going to push aside someone as experienced as Tahu. Nor does he want to. And no, he is not a Toa Nuva, so he is not on their power level.

50In the Rahkshi promotional CD, the narrarator said "This is the almighty Takanuva, his great strength and and courage make him a powerful protector of Mata Nui and Leader of the Toa Nuva," but I'm think I can safely assume you had no say in what was in those disks.

51No. They weren't written by me, they were written by marketing people who were not as in tune with the story in some places.
52Greg

53I got this one in making a comment on the CDs after reading #1.
54A couple questions on the Toa Disks
551. Where's they come from?
562. If a toa disk is launched frequently, would itt be useless like every other Kanoka?
573. If somebody made a mask of a Toa disk, what would happen to the Toa who's disk was made into a mask.
584. Could a Toa use thier element through Thier Toa disk
595. If somebody for some reason decided to make a Kanohi from a Toa disk... 60A. ...would it have the ability to control that element, make blasts of that element, or both? 61B. ...if they crafted from 2 or more a Toa disks, would it have a combination of of all the elemental disks crafted into it

62These are a couple of questions concerning the Vahki
631. In the commercial, the Bordakh launched a disk that shattered a large rock, was it a powerful Alauncher or a Ta-Metru disk that did that?
642. What are happening to the Matoran abducted by a Vahki?
653. If you can't answer that, will we find out soon?
664. Why are Vahki abducting Matoran, when they're supposed to be pacifying Matoran?

67Where do you get all the answers to these questions

681) Can't answer it 692) Yes, a Toa disk can run out of power too. 703) Nothing. Their powers are not tied to the disks. 714) No real need to. The Toa have their elemental powers, and the disk have elemental powers too. So you wouldn't channel your power through the disk, it already has power. 725a) It would work the way Takanuva's mask works, giving him various powers related to his element. 735b) You would probably get a different third power if you mixed two Toa disks together.
741) Most likely it was a weaken or regeneration at random disk. 752-4) Can't answer it, movie plot.
76Greg

774. Could a Toa use thier element through Thier Toa disk
785. If somebody for some reason decided to make a Kanohi from a Toa disk... 79A. ...would it have the ability to control that element, make blasts of that element, or both? 80B. ...if they crafted from 2 or more a Toa disks, would it have a combination of of all the elemental disks crafted into it

811. In the commercial, the Bordakh launched a disk that shattered a large rock, was it a powerful launcher or a Ta-Metru disk that did that?

824) No real need to. The Toa have their elemental powers, and the disk have elemental powers too. So you wouldn't channel your power through the disk, it already has power.
835a) It would work the way Takanuva's mask works, giving him various powers related to his element. 845b) You would probably get a different third power if you mixed two Toa disks together.
851) Most likely it was a weaken or regeneration at random disk.

864. Could they though?
875a. Can you give me an example?
881. Reconstitute at random and Weaken disks can shatter rock?

894) No. Disks are not Toa tools. 905) Well, for example. If say Matau put on the Mask of Fire, he could make flames appear or cause thermal updrafts or do things that normally only Vakama could do. 916) Yes, they can. You are simultaneously weakening and rearranging the molecules of the rock, which can make them shatter in an explosive way.
92Greg

931. Would Vakama be able to concentrate his fire powers in a regular Kanoka if he had it in his launcher?
942. I heard that Vakama was able to control molten proto. If this is true, would Nokama be able to control mud?
953. Lhikan is a Toa of fire, was there ever a Toa of Air, Earth, Stone, etc. alongside Lhikan?
96Lhikan is the only Toa who has been on Metru Nui.
974. If you say yes to the above question, and Lhikan travels from environ to environ, does that mean they had certain "patrol areasy"
985. Assuming you answer yes to 3 and 4, and that you can answer 4, is there areas where the does this mean that there's any areas that they patrol in common, do they ec=ver meet each on thier patrols, and is there something like a "Grand Temple of Mata Nui?
993.Does makuta fear anything?
100Possibly Mata Nui waking up.

1016. What's there to be afraid of if he's been taken care of already?
1027. Mata Nui wasn't ever on Mata Nui, and hasn't been on Metru, did they ever have any contact with him?
1038. If Makuta isn't a Great Spirit, what is he?
1049. Why don't Ko and Onu-Matoran just come to the agreement that "past mistakes must be learned for counceling future problems?"
10510. Refering to Q#3, was Makuta respected because he was 106powerful and frightening, or because he was Mata Nui's brother? Or niether?
10710) Neither. He was respected because of his role in the Matoran universe.
10810. So he did something good?
10911. Why is there a Matoran underworld? Don't they like Dume enough not to do that?
11012. Are there other jobs Vahki do ther than Order Enforcement and Rescue workers?
11113. Are there any more Kanoka powers than the 8 we already have? Would there be any more?
11214. Where did Makuta's staff come from?
11315. Since there's an underworld on Metru Nui, and it doesn't interest young children as much as the older crowd, does that mean the Bionicle storyline is maturing a little?

1141) No, he would just melt the disk. 1152) Good question. I have seen Vakama survive being immersed in molten proto, but I have never actually seen him make it do anything for him. I do know that Nokama could draw the water out of mud and make it do things for her, just as she can draw moisture from the air. 1163) The strong impression given in the movie is that there were at one time other Toa in Metru Nui besides Lhikan. 1174) That answer I gave was from before I saw the movie. The line about their being other Toa was added without my knowledge. But yes, Toa most likely did travel from place to place in the past. 1185) At this point, it is irrelevant, because Lhikan is the only Toa on Metru Nui at the start of this year's story and isn't patrolling outside of the city. 1196) He's asleep. He's not dead. Do you really think Mata Nui would fall for the same trick twice? 1207) Physical contact? Probably not. Did the Greeks ever meet Zeus coming down the road? 1218) Can't answer it 1229) Why don't the peoples of the Middle East just get along? 12310) I can't really answer it. You have to watch the movie and find a clue there. 12411) Has nothing to do with liking Dume or not liking Dume. People in major cities don't think about the mayor when they commit a crime. Some Matoran are good; some Matoran are not. An underworld is not the same as a revolutionary movement. They are not trying to overthrow Dume. 12512) Not really, no. 12613) Basic Kanoka powers? No. But there could be lots of powers created by combining disks. 12714) No idea. 12815) I think it is, but I don't think you can say younger fans wouldn't be interested in this. I know a lot of younger kids who still play cops and robbers.
129Greg

1303.Does makuta fear anything?
131Possibly Mata Nui waking up.

1326. What's there to be afraid of if he's been taken care of already?

1336) He's asleep. He's not dead. Do you really think Mata Nui would fall for the same trick twice?

134I knew that, I just meant why would he care if Mata Nui woke up. That also brings up the question now that he's "enlightened" would he still care?

135He would care because Mata Nui might not be too happy with him and Mata Nui is more powerful than he is. And he is was only enlightened while he shared a form with Takanuva ... he no longer shares that form, so don't expect him to now be a nice guy (assuming, of course, he is even still alive).

3Makuta isn't a Great Spirit and you could say Toa Olda didn't exist at that time, too. But they probably were in their canisters by that time. Maybe Takanuva is indeed in the mask? Or was he ,,enchanted'' into it?

1There is one thing in the City Book that confuses me. The Vahki were built to ensure the Matoran work. Okay, but under the little part about Takua, it says the Vahki have to drag him back to Ta-Metru often because he likes to leave at "working hours". 2So when exactly are working hours? I read somewhere that Po-Matoran will only stop if it's time to pack up(or if there's a tunneler). Don't the Matoran get weekends off? Don't they have a calender of sorts to help them with that? I just can't see them working all day, every day. 3-lavaside rahi

13Yay: Two points to me:

14To the first... so that's the culprit: No wonder that rumor was started:
15To the second, my interpretation... maybe.... would be that there are more of whatever Makuta is, not more Great Spirits, since Greg doubts Makuta is a Great Spirit. It could also mean, more who serve the Great Beings (or who used to.... ;)), including Mata Nui, and, presumedly, Makuta.
16I wonder if the mysterious makers of the Bahrag/Bohrok are involved.....maybe they're one of these brothers....

2I'd like to ask the same question...
3Please read and follow the spoiler policy:
4Now that spoilers about the B2 movie are coming out, I want to remind everyone that there is a BZP policy on spoilers. This applies to the GregF Topic in this forum, as it does everywhere else.

5Please read through the B2 Movie Spoiler Policy. This means you.

6Please follow those rules. At the start of every post containing spoilers, there MUST be a spoiler warning. If there is not, your account will have to be suspended , as you can see in the policy topic.
7This is the spoiler warning I would like to see used for posts in this forum:

10You do not have to use this exact one, but it is here for your convenience. You can simply copy that, and paste it into the start of your post if it contains spoilers. If you do not use this one, there should be about ten lines of space. The more the better.
11A final note, if you are unsure about whether what you are about to post is a spoiler or not, include the warning anyways. Better safe than sorry.

2QUOTE 3Hi Greg I was wondering if you could answer these questions for me.
41. Is there a difference in how you say the Krana Xa and Krana Za? If so how do you say them?
52. What did Makuta mean by "Come join my brotherS and I, Vakama." Who are these brothers of his? Does this happen to be the line you were talking about?
63. Why is Turaga Lhikan's mask a Great Hau instead of a Noble Hau, because Jaller got his mask and Jaller has a Great Hau.
74. The thing that the matoran are in are the Toa Metru lid combiners right?
85. How did the matoran sheres help the vahki transport float? Were they strapped to the side or something?

9Thanks Greg:
10-ToaNuju8606

111) Pronounced the same. 122) Yes, it is the line, and because it is, I can't discuss it. Future storyline. 133) It's not. Lhikan's mask changes shape to a Noble Hau when he is a Turaga. It changes shape again when it is placed on Jaller. Nowhere in the novel does it say anything about him wearing a Great Hau as a Turaga. 144) Yes 155) They were strapped underneath. They were buoyant enough to keep the transport afloat.

12Sorry, I'm sure you're getting TONS of these now (thank you, CM), but I'm left wondering on some of these:

131.) When, exactly, did Lhikan become a Turaga? If he fulfilled his destiny with the Toa stones, shouldn't his energy loss have transformed him before delivery?Or was it a slow process, finishing up when he was locked up?
142.) Was the Akilini game animated before it was cut?If so, will it make it to the DVD as a deleted scene? The game sounds AWESOME.
153.) Is the assemblers' village where the Toa Metru meet the Kikanalo abandoned?
164.) Why exactly is the Canyon of Unending Whispers called... well, the Canyon of Unending Whispers?Do passing Matoran hear Krekka and Nidhiki plotting or something?
175.) What of the real Dume? You've said that when Matoran are without their mask for an extended period of time, they 'shut down,' in a sense.Well, Dume's been locked up for around a year or two (taking it from your guess). Are Turaga stronger?Shouldn't Dume have died?Or was his prison keeping him in stasis?
186.) If Dume WAS in stasis, why didn't Makuta simply dispose of him, or let time without his mask shut him down?Wouldn't it have been safer to get the real Dume out of the way than to leave even the slightest chance of him escaping?
197.) Is Dume still there today (Toa Nuva age)?Wait, I see this one coming..."Can't answer it"?
208.) Is there any chance that the top of Dume's staff in the movie somewhat resembling a toy Kraahkan is more than a coincidence?Or am I nuts?
219.) Did Makuta get power from everything that was sucked into the vortex?Or was that just an act of destruction?
2210.) So, Ultimate Dume's not even a name in the story, is it?Just the name for the set combiner?(Obviously, calling him "Makuta" was out of the question, wasn't it?)
2311.) Did Vakama combine the Great Disks to make the Vahi, or did he use only one or a few?
2412.) In the movie, do the sleeping Matoran look like their 2001 forms?Or did that tranformation come later?
2513.) The six Matoran that they save first: are they significant Matoran? Is there something special about them, are they ones we know?Or are they just six random Matoran that happened to float out?

261) Can't tell you "exactly." If it's not in the movie novelization, means it wasn't in the script and I have no info on it. Could very well be a case that the whole Toa stone thing did not actually affect him that way until the stones were actually used by the Matoran.
272) Far as I know, it was probably cut in storyboard stage, which is when most things are cut.
283) Yes
294) No, it's called that because, like many canyons, it has echoes.
305) All of those spheres keep Matoran in stasis. "Shutting down" does not mean you're dead, means your shut off, essentially. Put the mask back on and you turn back on again.
316) No reason to think he would escape. Makuta had Lhikan targeted, Lhikan did not even know Makuta had made the switch, and how could he know six new Toa would come along? Besides, think about what Makuta actually did do -- wipe the memories of the Matoran. Dume would have awakened just like them, with no idea of what had happened, most likely.
327) No, I can't answer it, it relates to future story.
338) Have heard nothing about that
349) Yes, he was drawing power and mass
3510) Yes
3611) All six
3712) No, transformation did not come until after they were on Mata Nui
3813) So far, only one of them has been identified in the fiction.

1SPOILERS:

2Hi GregF:

31. Is the famous line in B2 when Makuta says to Vakama "Come join my brothers and I, Vakama."?

4Yes

52. Is the real Dume still alive during the Toa Nuva?
6Can't answer it.

73. If the Toa Metru had presented themselves to the real Turaga Dume, would he have accepted them?

8Probably.

94. Is Lhikan gone for good?

10Well, he's dead. So unless we tell a pre-Metru Nui story someday, I would say he is gone.

11Thanx:

12-LotM-

13See answers above. 14Greg

15Hmm. That's intersting. I got a little bit of humor out of "Well, he's dead." Heh, GregF has got a sense of humor. :D

1Just got these. I find number 2 interesting...
2Spoilers:

3I just finished reading the movie novel, and have some questions.
41. How long was the real Dume locked up?
52. Why does Lhikan yell at Makuta that he was sworn to protect the Matoran, when Makuta is evil wants to "rule" them, or is there something we don't know?
63. So Ultimate Dume is really Makuta? Ultimate Dume (set) doesn't look like Makuta w/ Nivawk's wings and Dark Hunter's parts
74. Why did Makuta want the Vahi?
85. "Come join my brothers and I." Is that the line that hints why Makuta is called THE Makuta?
96. How could Makuta be in MoL when he is trapped in the cage, unless he escaped, or there are more than one of him (hence THE Makuta)?

101) About a year, maybe a little longer. 112) Well, they obviously did not think of Makuta as evil prior to this. As I have said elsewhere, Makuta never did anything to harm the Matoran, which is why no one ever said, "Hey, bad things are happening, must be Makuta." They saw him as a protector, not a foe. 123) If the set looked like Makuta, it would have ruined the plot twist in the movie for everyone who didn't read spoilers. 134) Well, basically what Makuta wanted to do was put all the Matoran to sleep until long after the crisis is over, and after they have had their memories of what happened erased. Then he would awaken them and be hailed as their savior. But he didn't want to wait hundreds of years -- with the mask, he could have sped up time in all of the Metru Nui while he stayed the same age, and then awakened the Matoran. 145) Maybe. You guys will have to debate that one among yourselves. 156) Makuta was trapped in LOMN, which takes place 1000 years before MOL. He had plenty of time to escape during that time, and you will find out just how he escaped in the near future.

3Anyway, yes, it is a possibility, if they fulfill their destinies. All evidence we have at this time points to the conclusion that any Toa can become a Turaga if their destiny is fulfilled.

1SPOILERS:

2Checked out the Movie book, have some questions.
31) "Come join my brothers and I, Vakama." -Makuta. Why does he say that? What's he meaning? His brothers? As in Toa like brothers? That's how I take it anyway.
42) So Makuta was sworn to protect Metru Nui? When did that happen? And why? He doesn't seem like a protector.
53) Didn't they realize Makuta was 'missing'? He was Dume afterall.
64) Will we ever see Dume again? I'm speaking in the Toa Nuva time.
75) So is 2005 just a re-cap of things we missed with the Toa Metru story? Will there be anything new?
86) Are Vakama and co. the heroes of the entire 2005 year?

91) Who knows? Maybe. It's a tale for another day.
102) I know about it what you know about it -- what is in the movie. We haven't had our '06-'09 story meeting yet, that is where we are discussing that.
113) No. Makuta didn't live on Metru Nui, so there was no reason for them to know he was gone.
124) Can't answer it.
135) 2005 is a whole new story, it just takes place in between scenes of the '04 movie.
146) I really can't discuss '05 storyline.
15Greg
16Greg's answers in bold.
17So '06-'09 could be the year of Makuta. I've got a feeling when the Toa Nuva return to Metru Nui, they wake up Dume and he tells them about Makuta. My guess is that Dume was apart of Makuta's team. You never know, but it'd totally rock: 2006 couldn't come sooner.
18Mata Nui, Makuta, Dume. And three others. So many possibilties.

    21) That would be the plan.
  • 3And, just to check, Hahli now owns Pewku, right? -The Dementor- said that was in the MOL novelization, just wanna confirm. :)
    42) Yes
  • 5Is Vakama's Kanoka Launcher a Toa tool in the sense he can focus his elemental power through it? I know he can't do that with the Kanoka itself, and you've said he usually focuses it through his hands. But I can't remember if you've said the launcher itself is like a normal Toa tool or not. Came up here: Toa Tools
    63) Could he? Yes. Does he? Mainly in rocket pack mode, otherwise, no.
  • 7And while I'm at it, I might as well ask the question of the topic, which I doubt you can answer... what happened to the Toa Metru's Toa tools? We know they didn't become the Turaga staffs. Where'd they go?
    84) Actually, you only know that Vakama's disk launcher and Nokama's hydro blades did not become Turaga tools. You don't know that about any of the others.
    9Greg
10Thanks as usual. Oh, and I got the new Kanoka question right: ^_^ Hee hee.... ;)

2QUOTE 31.Why exactly did makuta want the Vahi?
42.When did Turaga Dume get replaced by Makuta?
53.When Turaga Dume closed the ports to other islands, was he Makuta at that point or no?
64.Are the Lohrak the winner of the rahi contest?
75.How big are the Lohrak in comparison of a toa?
8This doesnt have to do with B2
9Is it true you are planning on making a WHOLE book on the discovery of the Vahi?Thats gonna be sweet:

101) Makuta's plan was to put the Matoran into spheres, in which they would lose their memories, and keep them there until the crisis was over. Then he would wake them up and be seen as their rescuer. He needed the Vahi to speed up time in Metru Nui so the Matoran could be awakened faster.
112) Probably 12 to 18 months before the movie
123) It was Makuta
134) Oh, no. The Lohrak was a creature designed for B2, whose scenes got cut. He is not a contest entry.
145) Probably a couple feet long.
156) Yes, that is planned for next year.

1Spoilers:

21. A long time ago when the Bohrok saga was ending (after the Ga-Koro battle), It was mentioned in the news update that Nuparu had an idea to make the Boxors float on water, but using a kind of rudder and tying shells to the legs.  Has this ever been kept in mind since then for future storyline?
31) Well, hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it won't.
42.  If the Vahki saw Makuta after he transformed, would they attack him? (since in the book, it said that it seemed only the Vahki, being the heartless creatures they were, were unaffected by this chaotic event)
52) Interesting question. Makuta could, of course, always duplicate the voice of Dume and confuse the heck out of the Vahki. But once he is in his winged form, it would be obvious he was not Dume, so they might well go after him. BIONICLE Adventures 7 has some interesting stuff on what happened to the Vahki in the wake of the movie.
6Greg

7Thanks alot GregF. Awesome, the water Boxor has a chance of coming back: :) Number 2 was interesing. I'd like to see Makuta confuse a bunch of Vahki with Dume's voice. B-)

5QUOTE 6QUOTE 7QUOTE 8Just a few questions,
91> Did real Dume or fake Dume first use Nivawk?
102> Is fake Dume's mask a real Kiril or a mutated Krahhkan?
113> Is there a story reason the happy meal Matoran and the Metruan disk is the same shape or was that in product design so they didn't need a new mold?
124> Makuta seems to do the wrong thing when he tries to protect something he wants to protect the matoran, he puts them to sleep. Protect his brother, Put him to sleep for all eternity. Spare Dume his job put him to sleep for eternity. Pattern?
135> Are you going to tell a story of how Makuta switched places with Dume or is that free space for a fanfic?
146> How do toa disks work?
157> Are there plans of any promos with LOMN?
16That should do it.

171) Fake Dume
182) Most likely it is a real Kiril, since he has the Mask of Shadows on underneath it.
193) The disks on Mata Nui were made of the Mata Nui equivalent of bamboo. They were designed to look like Kanoka disks because that is what the Matoran were used to using.
204) lol, could be.
215) No plans to tell that story that I know of.

23One more If matoro has to translate for Nuju in tales of the mask wouldn't he have heard them talk about Metru-Nui?

24Absolutely. And mention is made in later books that Matoro bears the burden of knowing so much more than the other Matoran do and not being allowed to tell

1Now that people are asking direct movie questions, so can I: Here we go. . .
2SPOILERS:::

3HERE:::

4NOW:::

5- - - -
61. Why was Dume's stasis pod left in such an open area? I can understand that maybe it was an abandoned part, but Makuta could have at least put it in a locked chamber.
7It was left in a tunnel in a prison. How much more secure are you going to get? 8(Sure didn't look like a prison. It looked like a section of the Archives.)
92. At what point did the "Metruan" turn into "McToran"?
10After they were on Mata Nui. 11(How long after? When they climbed out of the stasis pods, they still looked like Metruan. Maybe this will be revealed later in the year.)
123. In the chamber full of Matoran stasis pods, Nokama opened one just by pressing her hand onto the window. Why didn't the Toa do that on Mata Nui? And how did sending elemental energy through the pods cause them to open?
13They weren't using Toa power to open spheres -- they were using it to wake the Matoran inside. Just opening the sphere does not wake them up. 14(I thought it was like archival stasis. Then how did Makuta plan to wake them?)
154. Does a Toa become a Turaga just by completing their destiny or do they have to use lots of power in the process, weakening them?
16A Toa has to complete his destiny AND then make a choice that involves sacrificing their Toa power for the greater good. Not all Toa make that choice. 17(This was before I knew the answer to the next question. I was wondering how Lhikan became a Turaga.)
185. What was it that Lhikan did after he got the Toa Stones, when he fired that beam and made the Unity, Duty, Destiny symbol on one? Was he using his heat power to do it?
19He was investing the stone with part of his Toa power.
206. When something is is stasis, does it have any sense of time? If a Matoran was in stasis for a year and woke up in the exact same environment, would he have any idea how much time had passed?
21No. It's like being asleep. 22(I thought so: Then why did Makuta need the Vahi to fast-forward 100 years? He could awaken them five minutes later and tell them it's been 5 billion years.)
237. What were those Bohrok-like machines (or creatures?) by Vakama's forge? Helpers made by the Matoran?
24Yes, they were little server drones. 25(They looked exactly like Nuhvok except for the heads.)
268. Do they hint that Matoran might have made the Bohrok?
27No, no, and no. 28(Oookay. Maybe the Matoran based their design off found Bohrok in the Archives. Otherwise it's a pretty big coincidence.)
299. Why didn't the Toa use their powers in the Coliseum? Surely that would have proved to the Matoran that they were real Toa. Were they too exhaused from previous escapades?
30Yes. As detailed in Darkness Below, their elemental powers were vastly weakened by fighting the Morbuzakh and then exhausted completely fighting Krahka.
3110. When Onewa is getting slammed back and forth and the other Toa are getting beaten up in the Coliseum, Matoran are cheering. Are they always so barbaric, and do they enjoy other violent activities?
32They think that the Toa are impostors, who are getting their comeuppance. Besides, how many people in our world watch boxing to see someone get beat up or watch racing to see crashes? Matoran are not inherently more virtuous than we are. 33(It looked like Onewa was killed. Geez. And perhaps it's just my outlook on life, but I find humans to be the lowest of the low on the virtuous scale.)
3411. What was that wall that Makuta in Dume guise was talking to? The one that looked like a wall of inky water or something suspended between two pillars?
35It was a mirror. 36(What?:)
3712. Whose eyes were those in/behind the wall?
38Those were his eyes. 39(It showed his reflection, and the huge eyes hovering above the reflection. The reflection said "bring me the mask of time" to him:)
4013. Are the cut Lohrak and Akilini tournament scenes depicted in the novelization?
41The Lohrak scene is, I don't remember how much of the akilini thing is, because it really wasn't dealt with much in the script I had. 42(This was written before I read CM's topic, so I wasn't sure.)
4314. How do Vahki capture Rahi, if stun staffs don't work on them?
44Generally by herding them into traps.
4515.
4610) When using Kaukau, can you breathe normally or are you like a fish out of water?
47You can breathe normally because the water breathing power only works when you trigger it. It is not on constantly anymore than Tahu's shield is.

48I know that, otherwise Gali would be in huge trouble much of the time. I meant if you were using it and were somehow flung out of the water as the mask was activated. In the split-second before it was deactivated, could you still breathe?
49Does it really make a difference if we are talking about a split second? 50(Yes, because I'm trying to determine its use as an offensive tool.)
5116.
52It is a mask of water/fluid breathing only. It is not a gas mask.

53But gas is a fluid. That's why I asked. On a related note, could it be used in molten lava?
54No. Molten lava is not water. Besides, if you are in molten lava, breathing is the least of your problems. And gas is vapor, it's not a fluid. 55(Molten=liquid. Liquid=fluid. And I direct you to the following link: Gas Properties.)
5617.
57The dominant mind would be Lewa's -- but he cannot make the Matoran levitate without also levitating himself, or make the Matoran move in a direction he is not also moving in. Essentially, how he uses the power for himself will extent to whoever he shares it with. So its use is limited as an offensive weapon.

58You said that living Matoran and such cannot walk through a Hau shield. If Tahu caused a shield to form around someone, would the shield trap the character or move with them?
59It would move with them. It pretty much has to or you would be trapping your allies all the time. 60(I was wondering if Tahu made a conscious effort, could he keep it still as a cage? I doubted it.)
6118. Could an Akaku be used to disorient opponents and make them walk into things (because they'd be looking through them)?
62Interesting idea. Maybe.
63- - - -
64I really hate doing this to you, but I need to know if the following information is official. It was given to Toyfair by Lego months before the Vahki were released. The staff powers and general descriptions are correct, but there is some unique information I'm not sure of. Don't worry about reading through these if you're busy, just wait until a light day. Here they are:
65- - - -
66The Nuurakh of Ta-Metru are the fastest of all the Vahki -- one minute all is quiet, the next they are everywhere. Nuurakh prefer to surround their targets, rather than chase them down, but they are easily frustrated. When things don't go their way, they can turn on each other. Nuurakh stun staffs fill the target's mind with one overriding command, which the affected Matoran will then obey to the exclusion of all else until the stun wears off.
67Zadakh are ideally suited for the open spaces of Po-Metru, as they are fastest when running in a straight line and do not handle changes of direction well. They are huge, strong, always the first ones into a scrap and the last ones standing. Zadakh stun staffs leave a target very suggestible, and for a brief period of time the Matoran will take orders from virtually anyone.
68The Bordakh of Ga-Metru are tactically the most cunning of the Vahki, usually working in small, high mobile groups. They like to get the job done with a minimum of fuss and risk, but they do enjoy the chase. An old Matoran saying goes, "Bordakh like things that run." Their stun staffs make the targeted Matoran so enthusiastic about the ideas of order and security that he will actively look for "troublemakers" to turn into the Vahki.
69The Vorzakh of Le-Metru have little patience for games of "chase and hide." If they need to find someone, they will just level everything in their path until that Matoran appears. (Le-Metru Matoran spend much of their time repairing the damage done by the Vorzakh.) Their stun staffs are incredibly potent, one touch reducing a Matoran to little more then a mindless, dim-eyed zombie for a brief period of time. Le-Matoran have grown used to seeing these unfortunates, called "shamblers," wandering through the metru.
70The Keerakh of Ko-Metru are a perfect fit for a metru devoted to seeing the future. Keerakh are always one step ahead of whoever they are pursuing -- it does no good to hide from them, because they will probably be waiting at your hiding place when you get there. Keerakh stun staffs scramble a Matoran's sense of time and place, disorienting them enough that they can not cause any trouble. It's not unusual to see confused Ko-Metru Matoran walking aimlessly through other metru, unsure where they are or what day it is.
71The Rorzakh of Onu-Metru are relentless. Though not the fastest or strongest Vahki, they never give up on a chase. Run anywhere, they will pursue, no matter how far or how long it takes. Their preferred tactic is to wait for their target to grow exhausted and then do their job. Rorzakh stun staffs have the longest lasting effects, allowing the Vahki to see and hear whatever the affected Matoran does without the Matoran being aware of it.

73Thanks immensely. I'm working on a Bionicle book which has basically all the information ever released, from the McToran promo posters to these Vahki bios. Every bit counts, and your help is greatly appreciated.

1SPOILERS:::::

2Hi Greg, I have a few questions for you:
31- Do the Matoran call Makuta The Makuta because it is a title or 4occupation?
51) Possibly. That answer has not been revealed yet in the story. But I would point out that he has been called "the Makuta" in various places off and on since 2001, so that is not new.
62- The line that Makuta says: "Join my brothers and I," or something 7along those lines; is he suggesting there are others like him?
82) Certainly sounds that way.
93- In The Legend of Metru-Nui it says that a few (or was it one?) of 10the stasis capsules that the Toa-Metru were transporting to the surface 11got knocked over-board in the fight with Makuta; did they go back for 12them?
133) Five of the six make it to Mata Nui. To find out which one doesn't, read BIONICLE Adventures 5.
144- The Toa-Metru must have made hundreds of trips in total back to 15Metru-Nui to get the rest of the Matoran, did they? Or did they only 16make a couple more?
174) Can't answer it, that's future storyline.
185- Why were the Matoran already on the transports (in the capsules) 19when the Toa-Metru burst into the Coliseum in their transport? Was 20Makuta going to transport them somewhere himself? Maybe to Mata-Nui? 21Could that be part of his plan, to cut off their access to greater technolo- 22gy to control them easily?
235) The transports were taking them from the Coliseum to the storage chamber below. Unmodified Vahki transports cannot reach Mata Nui because they don't float all that well or all that long.
246- "Once he had been a being trusted and respected by all, but now... he was a stranger from the shadows."
256) It refers to Makuta.
26That is a quote from the part where Makuta (at this time he is imposter 27Dume) takes off his mask and reveals his real face. Is this quote refferi- 28ng to Makuta or the real Dume?
297- Who, or what created the Great Barrier; and why?
307) Can't answer it
318- What does the Great Barrier divide? The diferent seas (with different 32islands in them) from each other? Or is it the edge of the dome and an 33entrance leading up to Mata-Nui?
348) I would lean toward the first answer, because although you have to pass through the Great Barrier to reach Mata Nui, Mata Nui is still a long way off -- so i don't know that I would call it an "entrance."
35Thank you again Greg, it is real good having you on BZPower.

1I asked Greg a couple of questions, and here they are, along with the answers.
21.Does Jaller know he wears Lhikan's mask? 32.Are the first six Matoran that the Toa Metru take to Mata Nui the ones that were released as McToran (Jala, Huki, Maku, Kongu, Matoro, and Onepu)? Is that why these Matoran have such important posititions? 43. In Bionicle Adventures 1 or 2, Pewku is called Pewku. Shouldn't it be called Puku, because this is before the name change on Mata Nui? 54.Does Mata Nui actually exist, or is he just a Matoran legend? 65.Did TLC tell you to tell us that Makuta did not play a part in the '04 storyline just so we wouldn't come to any conclusions? 76.Do you think we'll see more transforming sets? 87.Would you want to voice a small part in a Bionicle movie?
9Anyways, that's it for my questions for now. Thanks in advance. And by the way, excellent work on all of the Bionicle Adventures books.

101) Well, he does now. 112) Only one of the first six has been identified in the fiction, and that's in Book 5. But no, who was taken first had no bearing on their role in Matoran society. The Toa had no time to pop open spheres and see who they were taking, and by the time they woke all the Matoran up, there were dozens and dozens of spheres on the beach, so they never would have known who was first. 123) Technically, yes. But the name changes were made for legal reasons -- we cannot use the old names -- so I cannot go back and use old spellings even when it would make sense to. 134) Yes, Mata Nui very definitely exists. 145) What I said about Makuta was that there was no EVIDENCE that he played a part in the '04 storyline -- which was true, because until you guys saw the movie book, the best anyone on here had was, "I think it's Makuta because I think it's Makuta." That is not evidence. I never said he was or was not in the story, I said there was no proof he was involved, and basically challenged BZP to prove he was. 156) Such as? 167) No. I am not an actorI got to listen in to a recording session for part of the DVD last year, and let me tell you, those guys work hard. Retakes and retakes and retakes .. I don't have the patience for that.
17Greg

18For number 6, I meant transforming sets like the Vahki or Nidhiki (if you call that transforming). I guess Greg didn't realize that.

1Neat questions, Gukko: [Edit: But.... I should add a spoiler warning here... thought I did... *bonks head on wall* Er..... whoops.... sorry, folks. That was a dumb mistake.
2Spoiler warning:

3Comments...
Gukko
4... 52. At what point did the "Metruan" turn into "McToran"?
6After they were on Mata Nui. 7(How long after? When they climbed out of  the stasis pods, they still looked like Metruan. Maybe this will be revealed later in the year.)

8He has recently confirmed that it was a gradual process. When it started, I dunno. But it probably wasn't noticeable at any single point in time, until one day they thought, "Hey, how'd we get so short?:"

93. In the chamber full of Matoran stasis pods, Nokama opened one just by pressing her hand onto the window. Why didn't the Toa do that on Mata Nui? And how did sending elemental energy through the pods cause them to open?
10They weren't using Toa power to open spheres -- they were using it to wake the Matoran inside. Just opening the sphere does not wake them up. 11(I thought it was like archival stasis. Then how did Makuta plan to wake them?)

12Well, he apparently made them go to sleep in the first place, so he must control it.
1311. What was that wall that Makuta in Dume guise was talking to? The one that looked like a wall of inky water or something suspended between two pillars?
14It was a mirror. 15(What?:)
1612. Whose eyes were those in/behind the wall?
17Those were his eyes. 18(It showed his reflection, and the huge eyes hovering above the reflection. The reflection said "bring me the mask of time" to him:)

19Sooo... Makuta's got a "Mirror, mirror, on the wall?"
20I'm stumped on this'n too.
2110) When using Kaukau, can you breathe normally or are you like a fish out of water?
22You can breathe normally because the water breathing power only works when you trigger it. It is not on constantly anymore than Tahu's shield is.

23I know that, otherwise Gali would be in huge trouble much of the time. I meant if you were using it and were somehow flung out of the water as the mask was activated. In the split-second before it was deactivated, could you still breathe?
24Does it really make a difference if we are talking about a split second? 25(Yes, because I'm trying to determine its use as an offensive tool.)

26Well, if Gali would be the dominant mind, I'd think she could turn it on to a target anytime? But then... she'd apparently have to turn it on to herself. 'Course, she can also make water.... Just a thought.

2716.
28It is a mask of water/fluid breathing only. It is not a gas mask.

29But gas is a fluid. That's why I asked. On a related note, could it be used in molten lava?
30No. Molten lava is not water. Besides, if you are in molten lava, breathing is the least of your problems. And gas is vapor, it's not a fluid. 31(Molten=liquid. Liquid=fluid. And I direct you to the following link: Gas Properties.)

32Well, gas certainly has fluid properties, but it's not considered "liquid." There are four states of matter, solid, liquid, gas, plasma.
33And it's not a mask of liquid or fluid breathing, just water. In Bionicle there are two things considered water, H2O, and waterlike protodermis. Molten is when it's heated and glowing, so, apparently, based on the answers from my questions about this, when waterlike proto is heated, it stops being waterlike, and suddenly becomes "solid" that happens to be melted, just because it's heated. Make sense? Then, the Kaukau would stop working.
34(Of course, if you're in molten protodermis, you have other problems besides breathing... ;) but it's a hypothetical... If a person was somehow temperature sheilded, like, maybe Tahu Nuva could do, with his increased elemental power? Then it could be relevent.)
3517.
36The dominant mind would be Lewa's -- but he cannot make the Matoran levitate without also levitating himself, or make the Matoran move in a direction he is not also moving in. Essentially, how he uses the power for himself will extent to whoever he shares it with. So its use is limited as an offensive weapon.

37You said that living Matoran and such cannot walk through a Hau shield. If Tahu caused a shield to form around someone, would the shield trap the character or move with them?
38It would move with them. It pretty much has to or you would be trapping your allies all the time. 39(I was wondering if Tahu made a conscious effort, could he keep it still as a cage? I doubted it.)
4018. Could an Akaku be used to disorient opponents and make them walk into things (because they'd be looking through them)?
41Interesting idea. Maybe. 42...

43And neat, neat ideas. Too bad the Hau one doesn't work.
44BTW, about the Miru, it could be useful if, say, an opponent is standing just under a cliff with an overhang, or in the edge of a doorway, or cave, etc. while Lewa's standing outside. Make 'em both fly up, opponent gets bonked, Lewa doesn't. ^_^

1Spoilers:

2Okay, some LoMN-related questions, Greg...
3The Toa Nuva do not appear in B2, correct?
4Do the Toa Nuva appear in any type of media (comics, flash episodes, etc.) during the time period of the movie?
5torritorri 6:t: :t:

71) No.
82) During the time period of the movie? No. The Toa Nuva did not come into being until the Toa were exposed to protodermis after defeating the Bohrok queens ... and that happened 1000 years after the movie. So it would be physically impossible for the Toa Nuva to exist at the same time as the Toa Metru story.
9Greg

10Whoops, sorry Greg. On #2, I meant do Tahu & Co. appear in any way. (Olda, Nuva, Matoran, or Turaga)

11No. The only time they appear anywhere in '04 is in the framing story. They do not appear anyplace in Metru Nui.
12Greg

13there ya go.
14torritorri 15:t: :t:
16EDIT:
17hiya Greg: forgot this'n in my previous PM.
18Can you tell us now what the crisis that Dume/Makuta saw coming? Or was that something Dume/Makuta made up?
19Thanks.
20torritorri 21:t: :t:

22No, it is a genuine crisis. But if you have not gotten it from the spoilers you have seen, I can't reveal it -- it's movie plot.

1Metru Nui Cityguide Website Questions, but no spoilers, so you're all good.
21. First off, is this whole 'Metru Nui Ministry of Tourism' thing official on Metru Nui? Or is just a cool, catchy name for the City Guide website?
31) Both.
4Well, that's interesting. No idea they had 'ministries.'
52. What's an unlimited Chute pass? Isn't everyone already able to get on and off the Chutes at any time?
62) No. There are chute stations all over the city where you can get tickets. It's like the subway. Legally, you are not supposed to get on or off except at a station.
7Okay, now I get it.
83. What does it mean to 'synthesize' energized Protodermis?
93) It means they are trying to create it artificially, so far without success.
10That's cool, I didn't know they were trying to that.
114. Again, the 'other places' are brough up in the smuggling section. I'm pretty sure you've answered this already, but are we going to learn anything about those other places anytime soon, or the other inhabitants of those places?
124) Yes. We are meeting in part about that in three weeks.
13YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES:::::1
145. Okay, I'm really confused by looking at this chute map. The map itself seems to go in no real order, and the map seems to go in no real order compared to the Metru Nui map. Is that a true map?
155) I actually have not seen the map yet -- I didn't create it, and have not seen the site yet, I am going on it tonight. 166) Book 5 will be in stores end of September.
17Dang, I'll have to send the question again.
#1906
1I got one.
2Well, V1P2 asked you this question,
32. Okay, if I understand correctly, the Akilini players surf on normal Kanoka disks. Is that right?
4And you answered
52) Yes.
6How can a Matoran possibly surf on something the size of their masks? Woudn't they look like this? Don't you think it made sense if they rode on their Kanoka and launcher like Orkham is showing here?
7Thanks for your time.

8I've seen people ride on snowboards that were not that much bigger (in scale) than a Kanoka disk would be for a Matoran.

1I always thought of them as being on both feet, squeezing both on the thing.
2Or possibly holding onto it, and "boogie boarding" it. But on one foot?
3Man those guys have skill. :P

1Hey Lhii I saw a Vakhi in that picture.I guese Orkahm is in big troble eh.

2Oh my... I didn't notice that until you pointed it out:  It probably wasn't intentional, but to see a picture with Orkham "disk-surfing", which we know can get one in trouble, and with a Vahki right about to come around the corner and catch him is very humorous. Sometimes things happen like that; they end up funny even when you didn't plan for them to.
3BTW, Enduriyon, I've alway thought your avatar is hilarious. "VOOOORAAAAHK is THE BEST::::::" :D

2Hehehe. That Vahki you saw was my Movie Edition Vahki (MEV for short). Before I took that picture of Orkahm on his Kanoka, I tried to out him on top of ice but he kept on sliding off the Kanoka.

1Here are some Greg Q&A.
2Hi Greg. Thanks for answering my last set of questions. I have a couple of new ones for you. Here they are.
31.Just because you believe that Tahu & co. were never Matoran, that doesn't mean that its not possible, right? 42.Had Vakama & co. ever considered building a small Vahki squad to protect Mata-Nui when they lived there? 53.If Nidhiki ever was a Toa, would he have been the Toa of Air? 64.If Nidhiki ever was a Toa, did he change into the form he has now or did he build the parts and add them to his body? 75.Did the Avohkii exist on Metru Nui? 86.Do you think we'll see more transforming sets like the Vahki and Nidhiki? 97.Do you know if the Lhikan and Kikanalo set has a combiner?
10Anyways, those are my questions. I hope you can answer them. Thanks in advance.

111) Does it mean it's impossible? No. But the odds are I will have a role in deciding the issue, if not being the one who decides it period. 122) No. The one thing they did not want on Mata Nui was Vahki. They also did not have the tech to do it on Mata Nui. 133) No idea. 144) Again, no idea. What I know of Nidhiki's past is the same as what you know. 155) Doubtful. 166) Hope so, they're cool. 177) No, I have not seen the directions.
18Greg

19For #2, I wonder why the Turaga really did not want Vahki on Mata Nui. Probably because of those "sinister changes" he has in mind.

1Spoilers

21)Is it possible to have a two, four, or five member combiner?
3Two, definitely. Four and five we have not done in the story yet, but does not mean it is impossible.
42)If the Kralhi was deemed adequate for actual use, would they be Metru-specific, like the Vahki are?
5Probably not. They all had the same powers.
63)Can Vahki use their powers in 4-legged mode?
7It would be difficult, because their staffs are pointed toward the ground then.
84)Same question but in flight mode?
9Yes.
105)Can the Toa Metru form Kaitas?
11They have no idea how to do so yet.
12Keyword: Yet
136)Who sent the visions of Akamai and Wairuha to the Toa of Mata-Nui?
14Can't answer it.
15I wonder why...
167)So, there really is a great disaster coming to Metru-Nui, or was that all of Makuta's lies?
17No, there is.
188)Would Makuta be able use the Vahi more easily than the Toa, or would he still have trouble with it?
19I think any being would have trouble with that mask.
209)Under what circumstances were you present to witness the voice recording of the movie?
21Not the movie. Do you remember the little character bios on MOL last year, one of the extra features narrated by Takua? I wrote them, so they had me conferenced in to the recording studio when they did the recording to make sure the names were being pronounced right, etc.
2210)Would an enlarge disk, a regeneration disk, a weaken disk, a freeze disk, a teleportation disk, and reconstitute at random disk, (the great disk powers) make a mask of time?
23Only at the proper power level.
24That Vahi is one weird mask...
2511)Does the Metru that each disk was made in affect the performance or nature of the mask it is made into?
26No.
2712)Have any Toa (Metru, Nuva, Olda or otherwise) ever actually lost control of their mask powers?
28Not that we have seen so far.
2913)Are you informed of web updates or in other media, or are you just the "comic guy"?
30All the web updates are done in Denmark, so while I approve a lot of the text, exactly when things are going up is not usually run by me. And, of course, I am one of the peope who approves the movie scripts as well.
3114)Is Makuta's mask an actual Kanohi made from a Kanoka, or just made to look like one?
32I have no info on this.
3315)Did Makuta make and use the Morbuzakh?
34Gotta wait for BIONICLE Adventures 6 to find out the Morbuzakh's origin.
3516)If so, why didn't he just tell all of the Matoran to come to Metru-Nui, instead of using the complicated process of the Morbuzakh?
36Hypothetically -- drive them from the outskirts, there are fewer places for them to run and hide.
37What Matoran wouldn't believe in his/her honorable leader into coming to the coliseum?
3817)Why does the energy given off from the Toa while sacrificing their power not regenerate, like their elemental power?
39Different kind of energy, basically.
40More work for you bones in that "Wacky Physics" topic of yours...
4118)If the Liquid Proto on Metru-Nui is different than the water of Mata-Nui, how is it that either of those can be combined with the other five elements to form solid protodermis?
42Because it comes from a Toa. You can't throw a bucket of water, a burning stick, an electric fan, a chunk of ice, a clump of dirt and and a rock in a pile and get proto -- it all has Toa energy infused into it.
43He misunderstood my question, might re-PM him on that one.
4419)Here is the last question, more of a request for clarification really anyways. 45I'm just wondering at the sequence of events for a particular period of time. Correct me if I'm wrong.
46The Matoran were summoned to the Coliseum by Makuta-Dume 47He puts them to sleep 48He puts Mata-Nui to sleep 49Toa Metru take canisters to Mata-Nui (island) 50He wipes the Matorans' memories 51He reduces them in size
52Is this right? if not could you tell me how it went.
53Mata Nui is pretty much already on his way to sleep when Makuta captures the Matoran, though he is not all the way there yet. As for the shrinking and memory wiping, while that does not occur until they are on Mata Nui, the process is actually begun on Metru Nui. There will be more info on that soon.
54"is actually begun on Metru Nui"-aside from the grammatical error that's an interesing quote.
55Thanks in advance.

14Spoiler warning still applies: I guess: Maybe:

15To the first... I wonder what those disks would make....
16To the second...
17Actually, that fits perfectly with WP. The "Energy mind" idea that I discussed, where there is a structure that is made of energy inside a Toa, which generates the Toa power, I mean. See, the "Toa energy" would contain the elemental energy. Greg has described that as a "flow" of energy. So, it is constantly recharged because energy is coming from elsewhere. It's like a portable printing calculator. The Elemental energy is the paper, the calculator itself is the Toa Energy, and the person carrying it is the Toa. The person can print paper, and refill it, and give the printed paper out all they want. But if they give away the calculator, they can't give out printed paper anymore. Make sense?
18In other words, the Toa power doesn't apparently come from the protodermis, as it does with Kanoka or Kanohi. It appears to come from an energy structure. Or, "Toa Energy."

19And to the third, that's a good question, and it's something I have wondered about. My guess is, the elemental energy that's being sent out, which is what materializes the Toa's power, normally, mixes with the elemental energy of the other Toa before materializing anything. Then, the combined elemental energy materializes solid (neutral) protodermis. In other words, the "Water Elemental Energy" is what Gali contributes, not actual H2O. I think that's what Greg was saying.

20Or perhaps, since the elemental energy mixes like that, any H2O that had materialized gets energized again, and rematerialized as neutral solid protodermis.
21Same may apply to the air. It's very possible at this point that both Lewa and Matau manipulate real matter air, nitrogen, oxygen, and all that jazz (or part of it...). We don't know. LEGO doesn't know. ;)

22There's my cent, and two dollars. :)

3Is there any chance that Krahka return and wreak all the havoc she should've wreaked in the first place? Perhaps in one of the post-LoMN books?

4Oh, a Krahka fan Cool. Yes, most definitely. Look for Krahka to make a big return in BIONICLE Adventures #9, which is still untitled but due out (I think) next June.

1METRU NUI GUIDE WEBSITE SPOILERS:::

21. On the new Guide Book site, it says that a shipment of Great Masks mysteriously disappeared en route to the Great Temple. Will these become important later on? 31) Maybe :)
4...Another (Matoran involved in a disk duel) was reconstituted into something so grotesque he almost wound up on display as a Rahi in the Archives...

52. Ouch. Was he ever put right? 62) Oh, it wore off eventually.
73. It also says that visitors are not allowed in the Great Temple due to "a rash of thefts from the chamber prior to Toa Lhikan's disappearance." Would this be Lhikan getting the Toa Stones? Or something else? 83) Yup, it would be
94. Will we see some of the Matoran underworld in the next few books? Or everyone be a little "busy" to (for example) figure out how to smuggle a statue into Po-Metru? BTW, did you write the site content? I'm assuming you did. 104) Yes, I did write all the site content. As for the Matoran underworld ... not sure if you have seen the movie spoilers are not, so I don't want to comment.

111. Oooooooo...are they what I think they are...? 122. Good. Better than the Matoran so small he hasn't even been found yet: 133. Okay, just wanted to clear that up. 144. Hmmmm...question for people that have read the novelization: without telling me what's in it, is the Underworld involved in the movie?

1SPOILERS:

2So far, we have seen the Vahi used to slow down time, and you have said that it can also be used to speed it up. I have several questions about that: 31a. If there were to be a being such as a Toa of Time that had perfect control over the Vahi, would he be able to travel through time with it, or stop it, etc? Basically, just what is the extent of the Vahi's power [if used perfectly?
41b. Hypothetically speaking, would it be possible for a being to actually STOP time around an opponent, thereby leaving them suspended in one time period for forever and basically deleting them from existence from that point on?
51c. Relating to 1b, if the answer to that is yes, then could someone with perfect control over the Vahi/time go back into time itself, not just back in time but back into time, and rescue that being who was frozen in time? (that may be difficult to understand...)
61) I can pretty much tell you time travel will never be a part of BIONICLE as long as I am involved in it. Time travel is a sure way of fouling up a continuing story.
7Yeah, but would it be possible? I'm PMing him for clarification on #1b.
82. Finally done with the Vahi ( :satisfied: ) but still on the subject of masks, if Tahu were to put on Jaller/Lhikan's Hau, would it still have Shielding powers, and if so, would they be noble or great?
92) They would be Noble.
10I suspected as much.
113. More about masks, would Kanoka from a particular metru (say, Le-Metru) produce Masks in the colors (teal, green, light/dark green) of that Metru, or are masks colored in a seperate way?
123) Masks are not colored at all, except for the Vahi. All masks when not worn are gray and take on color only when worn. So if Lewa takes off his Mask of Levitation and Gali puts it on, it will turn blue.
13Doi. Shoulda remembered that.
144. ...and back to the Vahi... I believe that you said that you were given free reign on the story of how Vakama re-found the Vahi and (?) are planning on doing a whole book about that. I also think that you said that we find out the identity of the Matoran-sphere who floated away in book 5. Since both of them are currently in the silver sea, might Vakama find both simultaneously?
154) Good question, but no. The missing sphere is not in the sea.
165. and... are all Kanohi Masks made from disks? If so, does that mean that the Avohkii was made from a Kanoka?
175) I have no info on what the Mask of Light or Mask of Shadows were made from, so I cannot comment.
18Now, onto Bionicle Adventures 5 and 6... 196. Finally done with masks, is the big earthquake mentioned in the summary of BA5 the crisis that Makuta-Dume saw coming?
206) That's part of it.
21Ah-HA:
227. Is the "discovery that will change their future forever" the island of Mata Nui?
237) Have to read the book and find out.
24Hmm. I think it is. And it probably is, too...
258. Might the "shocking surprise" that lurks in Metru Nui when they return in BA6 be... 26a. Krahka?
27b. those changed Vahki that your "demented mind", as you put it, thought up?
288) Neither. Krahka does not return until BA 9.
29Oh well... it makes sense... WHEE: Return of Krahka:
309. Also, since you have said that the two-headed Tarakava and Mutant Ussal Crab were experimented on by the same person who made the Morbuzakh... 31a. Was "the person" Makuta or someone else?
32b. Was the Rahi-Nui also a product of those experiments, since the Toa Metru fought it?
339) Gotta read the books. I am not going to give stuff away.
34That'll be a "yes" to the second one at least. ;)
35And now that we're done with those... 3610. Does Vakama still have visions as a Turaga?
3710) Yes
38Oh well. It made sense, too.
3911. If he doesn't... then could Mata Nui have been sending him visions, which is why he no longer has them as a Turaga (which when Mata Nui is asleep)?
4011) See answer to 10

41*PMing him for clarification on #1b*

1"is actually begun on Metru Nui"

2Just to let you know, Officer Buzz (and to defend Greg's honor), that isn't a grammatical error. In that sentence, the is functions like a has or a was, so you use a participle form. He's a writer, people:

15. and... are all Kanohi Masks made from disks? If so, does that mean that the Avohkii was made from a Kanoka?
25) I have no info on what the Mask of Light or Mask of Shadows were made from, so I cannot comment.

3So there might be other ways of creating Kanohi.
