1he writes the exo force books and a few independant projects i think
1Why did Vakama turn against his teammates, and become evil?
1Have you wrote a jurassic park book?
1Um... come on guys, let's keep a mild level of refinement, at least in this topic;
2Greg, you have said before that you believe a character, once he becomes evil, can not turn back. 3Don't you think that limits your writing? Doesn't it cut out the possibility of using a very powerful theme, the theme of redemption? Bionicle has a history of writing on themes that are powerful to kids, themes that they can use in real life like teamwork and brotherhood, and self sacrifice for a greater good. Redemption fits that category very well, and it is one of my favorites.
4To be honest I have found myself really hoping that Brutaka will end up choosing to do something good, and redeem himself. 5Is there any possibility?

1Rabin - Basically, what we do is we go in knowing what BIONICLE names generally sound like. Then we scramble letters together until we get something that sounds like it, run it through Google, and if it doesn't get too many hits, we pass it on to Legal for approvals. The general rule is we try not to go over three syllables in a word, and less if we can get away with it. And I guess I am partial to 2004 -- I am not going to say it is the best storyline, but it is the first one I did novels for.
2VNM - Yes, I did a pick a path game book for one of the JP movies.
3Ouranos - You raise a good point. But in a sense, we already did that story -- Vakama went bad and then was redeemed through the actions of Matau. Why do it again? Frankly, once Star Wars did it in such a big way in Ep. VI, it became a cliche.
4As far as Brutaka goes -- Brutaka has lost faith in Mata Nui, and he thinks those who haven't are fools. Short of Mata Nui actually showing up and saying, "Here I am," I can't see anything logically happening in the story to change his way of thinking.
5My feeling is that there are "villains" like Vakama in B3 who are essentially good-intentioned and lost their way, and can be pulled back with the right stimulus. 99% of the rest of villains have serious character flaws that are not going to just disappear all of a sudden to provide a neat and tidy ending to a story. Personally, had Vader lived, I think he would have wound up going over to the dark side again because the things that drove him to it the first time are still in him. And I don't see him as a strong enough individual to resist those temptations.
6In the case of Brutaka, he is not well-intentioned and he chose to turn his back on his belief in Mata Nui. Something powerful would need to happen to make him change his mind, and until Mata Nui wakes up and the universe changes as a result, I can't see anything happening that will affect him that way. That is something that is open to debate, but knowing the character as I do, that is how I see him.

1On Metru Nui, the matoran are forced to work. They can't even chose their own profession (or can they?). ie: Takua chooses to run a trading centre to trade of souveniers he gets from other Metrus while travelling. Yet the Vahki prevents him to travelling to other Metrus.
2Also, wouldn't it make more sense for the Vahki to capture a Matoran and send him/her for a trial, instead of wiping his upper motor functions, etc.
3Vahki have non-lethal tools. How are they supposed to fight of dangerous enemies properly?
4Is there a limit to how many Toa Stones a Toa can channel his energy into?
5What happened to the Toa Stones which Takua used to summon the Toa Olda? Did they vanish into thin air or just lost their powers?
6If a Matoran gets damaged, what should they do? (excluding the fact of sending them to Karzahni)
7Cheers. And thanks in advance, Mr Greg.

1greg, is there a storyline reason why vezon gains the sheild arm in the kardas set?
1Zanarh - 21) The Matoran are not "forced" to work. They work because that is their purpose. Are ants in an ant colony forced to work, or do they do it because that is what keeps the colony running smoothly? And the reason the Vahki kept an eye on Takua is that he wandered away while he was supposed to be working. Do that in our world and you get fired.32) No. Throw a Matoran in a jail and he can't work -- you lose the labor. Punish him in a way that he can then be sent back to work and you don't lose the labor.43) You don't think it's possible to fight something dangerous without killing it? Hunters in our world capture dangerous animals with tranquilizers all the time.54) Not so far as I know.65) Their power was used up in sending the signal.76) If his mechanical parts are damaged, they do their best to repair them. If his organic parts are damaged, best they can do is hope they heal.
8KopakaDai - No, that does not happen in the story.

11. Are there any reasons why Vezok has been almost completely absent from Legends 2 and Ignition 3?
22. Also, will Karzahni ever appear in a future storyline? (not asking when)
33. I have read that a picture of Karzahni will appear in the Atlas, but does this mean the being or the place?
4P.S. I really liked BL2, it's a great book.

1Greg, You said previously that Bionicle beings don't bleed, If so, then what are the puddles avak found around the toa of plasma that zaktan killed?
1So Greg, now that the Mcdonalds promos have been revealed, can you tell us all the details about them?
1Krekka: I think he just said we won't directly find out, due to lego's kid-friendly reputation
1Rabin - 1) Vezok was busy elsewhere during that part of the story, and besides, most of BL #2 does not focus on the Piraka. 2) Too soon to tell. 3) Both.
2Krekka -- What I released today to MOD and BZP is what I am releasing on it -- what appeared on BZP earlier was not released by LEGO. Best way to find out more about them is to go to McD's when they come out.
3TNK - No, it's not blood, and it was never intended to be. There are a number of things it could be, from melted armor to some sort of ooze given off by a Rahi to a countless other host of things. I am not allowed to write scenes with pools of blood in them.
4Disousa - Virtually every arrangement of letters means something in some other language. As long as it is not trademarked by some other company, an obscenity, or a religious term, you can't really worry about it, otherwise you will never be able to give anything a name.

1Thanks greg here's another. Where did jovan get his zamor launcher?
1When will the Atlas come out? I'm just starting to get into reading the books.
1Next spring, probably sometime around April.
1as u said the karzhani pic will be in the atlas, will his pic form be made from real parts?
1mr greg... when will jovan's instructions come out?is it this month or later?
1He said it was sometime this month... I asked twice
1KopakaDai - No, it's not a model shot, it's an illustration. Karzahni does not exist as a model at this time.
2Nuvoya - BIONICLE.com has had the instructions for a couple weeks, it's just a matter of getting them up -- they still have a little time, as the magazines have not hit home yet this month.

1What would happen if a shadow kraata were turned into a rahkshi armour? And what powers does it have?
1The major difference between a shadow kraata and a normal kraata is that it can infect from a distance, something it cannot do as Rahkshi armor or in Rahkshi armor. If a shadow kraata became a Rahkshi, it would be a Rahkshi whose ability matched whatever the shadow kraata's was before it reached that seventh stage. It's for this reason that Makuta generally does not allow shadow kraata to become Rahkshi or pilot them, because it loses its major advantage.

1I'm not sure if you can answer this, but do you know if the Mcdonalds figures are buildable or do we have to get them and see for ourselves?
1TNK - 1) Can't answer it. 2) They may never turn into Turaga -- remember, a Toa not only has to complete his destiny (which in their case, is saving Mata Nui's life), but has to CHOOSE to surrender their Toa power for the greater good. If they choose not to do so, they won't become Turaga.
2Krekka - They are not buildable, they are action figures.

1Is there anything that a toa can become instead of becoming a turaga, other than hordika etc.?
1Will the heroes of year 2007 be Toa?
