the prisoners of the pit challenge the one that was on the back of the bionicle comic.
(the one everybody said only brick masters can join, NOT:)
the one were you can win a bionicle set worth up to $50.
The one I entered: except I don't no how to post it and I can't put it on brickshelf for no reason

Hi Greg:

I hope you wouldn't mind answering just two questions this time...

Maxilos is the Pit Guard, right? Then why didn't he go hunting for the escaped prisoners with the Jailor, Hydraxon? Since he's the pit guard, he should at least accompany Hydraxon to hunt the prisoners, but where was he?

And who is more powerful? Should it be Maxilos, since he's the guard?

Thanks, Greg:
pirakahakann

1) Maxilos' job is to guard the prisoners Hydraxon recaptures. If he goes with Hydraxon, then there is no one to guard them.
2) I would have to check the stats

Thanks, Greg.

Hope you don't mind answering a few more...
1) So, from what you had revealed, Maxilos, Spinax and Hydraxon are going to fight each other, right? How did you fit all that together?
2) Is Makuta going to fight Maxilos?
3) Does Maxilos ever let Spinax loose? If so, when would he do so? ( Spinax may run off, right? )
4) Can Jaller use the Mask of Sonar to detect weak points in objects? ( Shouldn't he be able to find hollow parts using the sound? )
5) Just for confirmation:
Makuta cannot be Hydraxon ( not being able to posses him), Gadunka ( it was created by accident of the Ignika ), the Toa ( He's using them to steal the Ignika and ruin their kind ), the Barraki ( Unable to posses ), Karzahni ( He's fighting him) and presumably Lesovikk (He's a side story), right? And you've mentioned that Makuta will appear as a set. So the only candidates left are: Maxilos and Spinax. Am I right?

Thanks, Greg:
pirakahakann

1) You'll find out when we reach that point in the story
2) See answer to #1
3) Spinax is like a bloodhound, so you can let him loose if he is on the trail of something. He's trained, he's not going to just run away and not come back, anymore than a police dog would
4) No
5) Sorry, you will have to follow the story to find out this answer.

It's a little difficult to prove that Maxilos is makuta, since Greg doesn't really want to reveal it yet...

Number 2 might prove that he is Maxilos.

Hello, I have some questions regarding some Biosector 01 information that might need to be cleared up.

1. Do the matoran that were released as sets in 2006 in the story wear Great Masks? It says that on Biosector 01, probably because they wear the masks of the Toa Metru.

2. Will Makuta's new body be a set this year? It says that under the Makuta of Metru Nui's profile.

Now some non Biosector 01 questions

3. Can the mask of sonar tell if the person it hits is an enemy. I know it can't, but couldn't the user figure it out by the waves that return? Wouldn't they make an outline of the person if they were standing still?

4. Does it take energy for a Toa to keep their mask up, or could Tahu keep his shield up at all times?

5. Did you come up with the idea of the Dark Hunters, or at least how they act?
5a. Do they usually work in pairs of two like Krekka and Nidhiki?

6. Have you ever heard of the anime/manga series Naruto?
6a. If yes to 5a., and yes to 6, did you copy the idea of the Dark Hunters from the organization Akoutski (sp)? They seem sort of the same. If you want to read about Akoutski, you could go here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akatsuki_%28Naruto%29. I would like to know if they are related in any way.

7. One not Bionicle related. Do you watch That 70's Show? Just curious.

Thank you for your time.

1) You mean the Voya Nui Matoran? No
2) Can't answer it
3) Sonar delivers a fairly rough outline, but if the wearer was familiar with the shape of his enemy, yes, he might be able to recognize him from the sonar outline.
4) It requires concentration to maintain any mask power
5) Not really, the idea of DH was part of the second movie
5a) Not necessarily, no
6) No, I am not into manga or anime at all and not familiar with any of it.
7) Nope. Lived through the '70s, so don't need to watch it

Lot of new info here::

Hi greg, this is the third time I have tried pming you this week, the other messages were eaten by the server, so here goes:

1: Are the toa mahri's weapons (specificly jaller's) made of protosteel? If not, is it because protosteel is just rare and hard to come by, or does it relate to how they got their weapons?

2: When lesovikk went to karzahni, did he meet the phycopath himself, or did he just check to see if they were there?
2a: If he met karzahni, did they battle?
2b: Speaking of lesovikk, how old are we talking here? Possibly between 90,000 and 100,000 years?

3: Would you consider hydraxon a leader, or a follower?

4: I been thinking about he cordak blasters, and came up with a theroy on how they work. The bullet is solid protodermis, and there is an unstable liquid inside. This liquid will exlpode if it vibrates, which takes place on impact. However, the good thing about this is that the cordak blaster is snug enough for the bullets to fit in, but stay in palce. The liquid can splosh around, but it cant vibrate since the bullets cant move. Am I close, or am I totallly insane?
4b: Considering hydraxon had limited materials to work with in the old pit, what are the cordaks made of?

5: Could you consider hydraxon an inventor, since he made the cordaks from scratch?
5a: Did he have an armory or a workshop, were he built and experimented, or some sort of lab?

6: In book 7, will it expalin how the mahri got there weapons, and got the cordak lanchers?

7: Not sure if you can answer this one: how would you describe artahka's personality?

8: Was lesovikk created by the great beings as one of the first matoran, or was he created by the process which all the presant day matoran are made through?

9: I dont want to sound greedy, but do you think you could give me one of the mahri's tool names other than jaller's sword? I have no preferance as to which.
(I will not beg you, I try that with my parents for things and it fails spectacuraly)

Thanks a lot:

P.S: Do you ever remember me or recognize my name when you get pms from me?

1) Hahli's is, I know that.
2) I don't want to discuss what happened yet.
3) A leader
4) I haven't bothered theorizing how they work, cause I don't really need to know.
4b) Hydraxon didn't make the blasters.
5) Again, he didn't make them. Blasters were made on Xia. They were stored in an arms cache in the Pit.
6) Yes
7) World-weary, a little cruel, but usually for good reason
8) He was a Matoran before becoming a Toa
9) Hahli wields protosteel talons

Please use spoiler tags on numer 3.

Why? I don't really see that as being worthy of a spoiler.
Anyway, at least we know where the Cordaks came from. And I hope that Greg gave us the official name of Hahli's tool.

Actually as soon as I saw "Lesovikk" I stopped reading. What if I want to wait till his story is actually -out- to find out more about him?

The number in question doesn't have anything to do with Lesovikk, nor was anything spoiled about his story.

I think so, as in the topic started by GregF about Lesovikk all the info was hidden in spoiler tags.

Quick clarification there. What BS01 means with what masks Matoran wear purely is a shape thing. For the individual Kanohi pages, we have a "Matoran" Kanohi section, signifying that they're entirely powerless, and just note what Matoran have masks of that specific shape. As for the individual Matoran themselves, for extra clarifications I just changed "Mask" to "Mask (Shape)" for their info table to the right. :)

Me apologizes, about number 3, but he didnt answer. Also, the name of hahli's weapon is official.
#8775
Hello Greg, just a question i've been meaning to ask.
If you were to take a Kanoka of freezing and make it a Kanohi, would it be a kanohi of ice?
It would be a Kanohi with a freezing power, but it would not have the same powers that an Ice Toa -- it could not stop/start blizzards, etc. Just freeze people and things.
Sometimes it just helps to know these things. a bit odd though.
#8776
Okay, after my last batch, I had a lot of questions.

1. Dekar and Defilak carry 'Electro-Swords', correct? Did Karzahni make these or did Defilak (Or someone else) invent them on Mahri Nui?

2. Is Dume's Noble Kiril shaped like a Noble Kiril? I only ask because Toa Norik wore a Pehkui shaped like Dume's Kiril, and why would you honor someone with a noble mask?

3. Idris and Sarda have spiked feet, while Dekar and Defilak have Metru-Nui Toa style feet. Is this because those two were out in the mutagen for longer?

4. In Legends 6, the Solidified air launchers are potrayed as 'cannons' (Dekar was given command of one of the largest, and a nameless gunner was firing a launcher which Carapar smashed). Are they turret emplacements or shoulder-mounted weapons like in the sets?

5. All of the Voya-Nui Matoran look slightly different (Well, the sets). Do all Matoran of one type look the same (i.e., all Ta-Matoran look like Balta, all Ga-Matoran look like Dalu, etc.)

6. Did the Skakdi have spines before they were 'upgraded' by the Brotherhood?

7. The Pit's mutagen doesn't effect equipment, right?

8. Do the sea creatures ruled over by the Barraki understand their rule? Are they intelligent enough to comprehend they are being ruled?

9. We know that a Kanohi Mask of Diminishment exists. If you forged a Disk of Shrinking into a mask on its own, would you get a Mask of Diminishment, or something else?

10. Can a Mask of Sonar detect a being using a Mask of Stealth?

11. Occasionally, do Matoran 'discover' new Mask powers? The Mask of Stealth seems outdated compared to a Mask of Concealment. Same thing with Mask of Quick-Travel compared to Mask of Dimensional Gates.

12. Does the mutagen of the Pit change your appearence drastically? For instance, if the Shadowed One went in, could he come out with three legs, no tail, two heads, and four arms? (Just hypothetically)

13. Balta and Velika were 'inventors', correct? They didn't seem to do any inventing, while Nuparu made the Boxors and Vahki. Why weren't they shown doing inventing? Also, the MNOG games added a ton of Matoran names, but we only know seven Voya-Nui Matoran. Why?

14. Is it possible there are Matoran of other tribes on Voya-Nui or Mahri-Nui?

15. No Ko-Matoran has been seen yet in Mahri-Nui. Are there any, or is this just a lack of story time yet?

Some of the questions are pretty wacky, but I hope you can answer them.

1) Karzahni gave them to them
2) Who says a Turaga could not have done something heroic and been honored by the Hagah?
3) Not aware of any storyline reason for it, just a difference in set design
4) They have heavy weapons versions of them and hand-held versions of them
5) I doubt it
6) Yes
7) Can't be certain of that, because the mask is an object and it's being affected
8) Yes, the same way a lion pride can comprehend it follows the alpha male
9) No, that's what you would get
10) Yes
11) I don't see them as outdated, I see it as the same as the Miru-Kadin situation. You need different kinds of masks for different kinds of situations. Dimensional Gates is great, if you don't mind having to traverse hostile dimensions to get from one point to another in your own. Teleportation is less powerful, but safer
12) I would say yes
13) Let me break this into a couple of parts --
-- When did Velika and Balta have time to do this? Nuparu was living in a relatively stable village -- Velika and Balta were on the run as a hunted resistance. That doesn't leave a lot of luxury for tinkering.
-- Many of the MNOG and MNOG2 Matoran names were never cleared through Legal. All names now have to be, meaning you are talking several thousand dollars a name -- I can't just toss names in for characters for the sake of tossing in names, because they cost money.
14) Not unless there are Av-Matoran among them
15) They haven't been seen because there is no Ko-Matoran set, therefore I can't put one in the comic, etc. I would assume there are some there, since there were on Voya Nui

A few interesting things. So only six tribes (and possibly Av-Matoran) inhabit Voya Nui.

Also, we have confirmation that a Kanoka of Shrinking would make a Mask of Diminishment, not a (supposed) Mask of Shrinking.

1. Which is bigger, Metru Nui or Mata Nui?
A. Mata Nui

2. Which is bigger, Voya Nui or Mahri Nui?
A. Voya Nui

3. The biggest out of the four?
A. Can't say for sure, as I do not have official measurements for VN

4. What is the weirdest thing a fan has done/said to you, meeting you at Comic-Con?
A. I don't really get much in the way of weird things said or done. Most people are in a rush to get what they are getting and get on to the next thing they are doing at the show.

5. How many vampire squid are there aprox?
A. Hundreds

6. Have you started L9?
A. No, not yet

7. If I remember right, you released the name of the Toa Mahri around Dec/Jan last/this year, and you were overloaded with questions about them. Do you plan on releasing things like that later from now on?
A. I released the names because folks on BZP already knew about them at that point from leaked EU text.

8. Is it possible for more promotional Kanohi again?
A. No idea. Not my dept.

Just some Q&A. Oh, and be aware that this is not new.

Evening, Mr. Farshtey. This time, just 07' questions, my friend.

Storyline
1. Since it's been recently revealed that Mantax is looking for a "contract" of sorts, does that imply he also suspects one of the Barraki betrayed him and the others?

2. Will the Karzahni-Makuta battle have any significance to the storyline?

3. Other than the Matoran, Toa, and Turaga currently in existence, how will other intelligent species (such as the Vortixx, Skakdi, and Zyglak) be affected by the eventual death of Mata Nui (In other words, what will his death bring upon them) ?

4. In the current timeline, who might you say is winning the Dark Hunter-Brotherhood of Makuta War?

5. Since Tahtorak have thrived in Zakaz (as is stated in Bionicle World), does that mean the Keetongu species lived there as well, or might that be another land, where other Tahtorak were stranded on the lands they went to from their original home (also stated in the guide, from what I remember)?

Book
1. When might Bionicle Legends #7 be released to bookstores?

Misc.
1. This is something I thought of for fun, mainly. Since normal biomechanical beings can't be cloned, along with the fact Maxilos is a robot, is it possible to copy the program that makes him function and transfer his "personality" into another mechanical body?

That's all, and I grate you in advance.

-Xenogears

1) That's what it implies all right
2) To the Karzahni storyline, yes
3) Death, since the universe is going to end for them too
4) Pretty much a stalemate
5) Keetongu are not from Zakaz, no. Like many animals in our world, Tahtorak can be found in more than one place

1) I believe it is due out in July

1) Certainly an interesting thought.

That's all.

-Xenogears

I think #2 implies we will be seeing more of him in the future, like 08.
#8780
Great Being #1

I think #2 implies we will be seeing more of him in the future, like 08.

Yes, it very well might; and that would be great. But we'll just have to wait and see.
#8781
Would it hurt to add a little more complexity to the build, to provide some mental stimulation for the target audience (7-9 year olds)? Since a lot of them just say "cool toy:" and buy a set on impulse, perhaps there could be a slightly more complicated build? Or would it discourage future sales? Just wondering. :D

A: Set design is based on what we hear from the focus groups. So, for example, we have heard things like "gears make things too complicated" -- we have also heard, "don't use too many big, chunky pieces." It's not our job to guess what the design should be to please the audience -- we do research on the builds and on the kids building them.

A lot of BIONICLE fans are not strictly pre-existing LEGO fans -- they don't have a lot of building experience. Even with things as they are, a common complaint I heard this past week in the groups is that they are too hard to build.

Dear Mr. F:

I sent you a PM a little while back but I think the server ate it.
(If you did get my PM then please excuse this one.)

1) Would you describe Artahka as harsh because he ordered all thoes who had knowlage of the Island to be killed?

2) Did the inhabitants of Artahka make Karzahni's mask? Artahkas?

3) Can you give me some explentaion behind the physics of the energy that makes maskes work?

4) Why is it that of Karzahni matoran forget who they are?

5) Do all being beleive in Mata-Nui or are there things like Paganism or other gods that beings worship.

6) Did the GBs make only Matoran or people like Vortixx or Keetongus.

7) Why was TSO's island forgoten by Mata-Nui.

8) Is the name Toa Mata cannon.

9) If the way a toa looks affects how the matoran turning into a toa looks, does that mean that there is signifigance between the similarity or Toa Lhikan and Toa Haga?

10) Does the BOM have a massive Olmak?

11) Can Kanoka be "recharged" by electricity or other methods.

12) Was Takadox using his hypnosis on Makuta when he talked about betraying Mata-Nui?

13) Why would a "good guy" have a mask that makes friends into enemys and other evil stuff?

14) What is Botar's race like?
14a) Do all of Botar's race have powers of teleportation or is that a gift from the OoMN?

15)Where Makuta's powers so horrible when he was good?
15a) Why are a good guys powers so horrible?

16) Why does Pridak order the destruction of his own troops? Isn't that a waste of man-power?

17) In WoS how does Metru-Nui get overgrown so quickly?

18) Is it possible that a matoran could experement with Bio-Engeneering.

19) Would the OoMN rebuild the Pit if they knew it was brocken.

20) (This is kind or a complex question) How does Botar know where to teleport people to the Pit if the Pit has been destroyed and all of the convicts are underwater? Do bionicle place have "names" given to them so that they still exist even if they are changed or destroyed?

21) Do we know any charecters that have been in The Hand or Artahka.

22) Have you ever heard of a Movie/Manga called Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind?

Thanks for your time,
-Leviathan.

1) Artakha did not order that. The OOMN decided to do that.
2) No
3) No. I'm a writer, I'm not a physicist, and I really think going into those kind of explanations robs BIONICLE of its mystique
4) You spend 100,000 years stuck someplace and see how well you remember stuff
5) Mata Nui is not a god nor is he worshipped as one. He is honored and respected, not worshipped. We don't get into religion in BIONICLE, it would offend too many people.
6) Yes, they made virtually all of the intelligent species
7) Not sure I understand your question
8) Yes
9) Yes, it means the Matoran who turned into them had a different concept of how a Toa looked
10) Hasn't been revealed.
11) Not once they run out of power, no
12) No. Makuta's willpower is too strong for Takadox's hypnosis to work on him, anyway
13) Well, what if you are Makuta, and the Barraki are rebelling against Mata Nui. So you use your mask and you make the Barraki fight each other and then none of your army has to risk being hurt fighting them.
14) We haven't explored what his race is like in the story.
15) I don't think most powers are good or bad by nature -- it's what you do with them. What if the Kanohi Dragon was destroying Metru Nui, and Makuta used his shadow hand to stop it? Would it be a horrible power then, if it saved the city? Tahu has a fire power -- but fire can also be horribly destructive and burn down people's houses, right?
16) To make an example of them and maintain discipline in the rest of the army. Same reason that, in our world, many armies shoot deserters.
17) Well, we know plant life can grow very fast, it did on Mata Nui as well.
18) I don't see how. Bio-engineering deals with things like genes and DNA -- there's no proof that BIONICLE characters have either one, since they do not have biological reproduction
19) Unknown at this point
20) Botar just teleports them to the old Pit, since he doesn't know it's damaged.
21) Yes, Axonn
22) No, not into manga
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Mr. F:

I only have a few questions for you:

1) How would you describe Artahkas personality?

2) What happend to the people who knew of Artahkas location and dissapered

3) Is the OoMN looking for Artahka now?
3a) Do they know of the fact that they worked hard to destroy the knowlage.

1) World-weary, sometimes cruel, very imaginative, overall on the side of right
2) Killed by the OOMN
3) Yup
3a) Yes
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does the fact that you have a personality set for him mean that we will meet him in the near future?

Did the people being killed know that they where going to be murdured?

1) He appears in Bionicle Legends #8
2) No

Hi greg, I have some urgent stuff:

A: I know you proved ketongolo12 has book 7, but, he claims hydraxon was revived by the ignika transferring dekar's life force into him, so he retained some of dekar's memory. I found this hard to belive, so I had to ask you:

B: Can hahli actually bend her talons, or always stiff? Same goes for ehlek.

C: I'm not sure if you can do this one, but here goes: did the inika lose their weapons when they transformed? And did they get their new weapons in the armory were the cordaks were?

Thanks in advance:

1) He's wrong, that's not what happened.
2) No, she can't bend them. Can Wolverine bend his claws?
3) No, they did not get their new weapons in the armory, the transformation transformed their weapons

It's been a while since I posted a Greg quote.
Who's older the Barraki or Lesovikk?
How old is Lesovikk?

Thanks GB #1

Probably Lesovikk, but I don't have an exact number for him

Yup

How detailed will the plot of Mars Mission be? Will it be very detailed like Exo-Force (unlikely), average-detailed like Alpha Team, or slightly detailed like Aqua Raiders? I'm hoping for the second.

Slightly detailed -- there's really no push from Denmark for us to do story for it.

Curses:

He ditches his melee weapon for two blasters, because he knows he is in a war.

In the BIONICLE world, does the word "Ignition" have more than one meaning. For example, could "ignition" mean the beginning of a series of events, like in English? Or would "Ignition" literally mean the lighting of a flame (or flame-like substance)?

-VK-

Most things we use for titles in the story have multiple meanings

I've noticed alot of connections between Artahka and the Order of Mata Nui. For instance, many HoA members became OoMN members. The OoMN protect the location of Artahka, even from those on their side. That takes an incredible amount of loyalty and respect... So I have some questions...

1) Is Artahka an OoMN member/leader?
2) Does Artahka at least have influence over what the OoMN does?
3) Did the Hand of Artahka only serve Artahka? Did it ever do the will of Mata Nui, or was it disbanded when Mata Nui came?
4) Was the Hand of Artahka disband because the Order of Mata Nui was formed? If so, did the Hand essentially become the Order?
5) Does the Order have one specific purpose? Or just the day-to-day backstage duties that Mata Nui needs done?
6) Did the Order request the Toa tools/Avohkii/Kraakahn/Kanohi Nuva to be made by Artahka? If not, who did?

-VK-

1) No
2) No
3) It basically served the Great Beings, and then disbanded shortly after the coming of Mata Nui
4) No, the Hand actually disbanded because Toa had emerged as the keepers of the peace. Later, when it was decided that the OOMN needed to exist, many former HOA members made it up.
5) Purpose is essentially carrying out the will of Mata Nui and preserving order in the universe
6) Artakha simply seems to know when certain things are needed, and where.

Just one quick question-

Is it possible that Tahu, Kopaka, Gali, Lewa, Onua and Pohatu literally mean Fire, Ice, Water, Air, Earth and Stone?

I ask mostly for the prefixes. If Ta- is only part of the word for Fire (as Av- is only part of the word "Avohkii", meaning light), logically Tahu would seem like a possible word for fire.

-VK-

Nope

Just some old questions I asked, mostly debunking some little things I needed for theories I never posted.

Does that mean that the matoran might be saying "Tahu, Toa of Tahu?"

No, it's why they don't.

Hello Mr. Farshtey, many BIONICLE fans have been questioning as the story goes by, the appearance of some characters that were mentioned but never portrayed in Sets (like Lariska, for example ), images or basic structure plus different mask (Mavrah). But in BIONICLE World (on Odina) we saw various "standard" Dark Hunters that were basically the same.

What I am approaching to is to ask your approval for the idea of Triglax having the form of those "standard" Dark Hunters. Due to that you don´t think in images and that it has been confirmed that this character wont have a big importance in the future I ask you to let the Fan community assume that Triglax has the next form:

I can't say what is or is not an official form for him, because I have no idea if he will ever be in use officially. Until that time that he does appear officially in set or illo form, you guys are free to imagine him however you like.

You need to realize that, that shape is not a "standard" DH form, it's just an easy cop out for the artist. It's hard to come up with original designs for a bunch of little figures that will never be seen again, so he just reused the same shapes.

Nothing storyline related, but should be interesting for those of you who took part in the Comic Cover Contest.

Hello. I just recently purchased BIONICLE World (a really great read, by the way) and had a quick question about the artists. In the introduction, you mentioned Jerbraz, Tobduk, and Johmak as agents of the Order. Well, "Tobduk" brought to mind Toby Dukiewicz (who I assume was the illustrator for the first few chapters), so I was wondering if you could tell me anything about the other artists who account for Jerbraz and Johmak (that is, if I'm right and they are BIONICLE-ified names of the artists for the Atlas).

Would I also be right in assuming Stuart Sayger drew the maps for each island?

Thank you in advance,
-Chicken Little-

P.S. Would you happen to have any updates concerning the winner of the BIONICLE Comic Cover Contest?

1) Jeremy Brazeal and John McCormack
2) No, Jeremy did the maps -- Stuart did not do any work on this book.
3) Contest is being judged tomorrow morning

Jus' a little tidbit.

Do the Toa Mahri still retain their lightning powers?

No, the Inika had those because the sets lit up -- the Mahri sets don't light up.

Just a few answers I got.

I was just reading the Mata-Nui status topic, and now have three questions.

1. Mata-nui has just died, and the universe is falling apart. Say that a team of six Toa decides to respond to the emergency by taking the unprecidented step of merging into a Toa Nui (let's just say they got the idea from the principle of unity).

You have said now that it would take someone with the powers of a Great Spirit to stop the universe from being destroyed. Since a Toa Nui has the power level of a great spirit (we're assuming the Toa were successful in their merge), would the Toa Nui be able to stop the destruction of the universe?

2. a. Wouldn't someone with a Kualsi who had been to the surface before be able to retreat there?

2. b. Would they be able to evacuate others?

3. Is Mata Nui (great spirit) the Coliseum?

1) No
2) Yes, but no one like that exists. Only the characters you have met in 2001, 2006, and 2007 know of the surface world, and none of the mask-wearers from those three years have Kualsi.
3) No

1. Is every Kanohi made from a Kanoka?
A. Every Kanohi made in Metru Nui, yes

2. Anything exciting going on in Voya Nui or Metru Nui?
A. Nope

3. Did TSO make his staff?
A. I doubt it

4. What's up with Invasion? I heard it won't be on BIONICLE.com any more, is that true? If so, will you post it here?
A. I discussed with BZP serializing it on here and sent them the first chunk, but they have not posted it yet.

5. Which comic art do you prefer? 1-27 or I1-(?)?
A. No preference

6. Do you ever edit BS01?
A. Rarely.

7. Now we know that Turaga don't have to be Toa first. Is it then possible for a Matoran to go straight to a Turaga?
A. No

8. What do most people put in there subject box's? Does anyone keep a count like me?
A. Some are very specific, and some are very vague.

Interesting. I'm desperate to know how Kanohi are made in places other than Metru Nui.

Gravitan, they would just be carved from solid purified protodermis, which is really all that Kanoka are.

In other news:
1) Can the Arthron be used outside of water? Sonar seems to be a water-specific power.
2) Does the Faxon's power extend to growing/mutating new limbs? For instance, could Hahli or Lesovikk grow the tentacles of a Giant Squid?
3) Does the Zatth ever summon Rahi that could not survive in the surrounding environment? A flying Toa of Air summoning a Takea shark would be pretty useless.
4) In the scene where Pridak and Takadox are fighting Matoro in BL7, and Matoro reanimates an army of dead Takea sharks, which seems to take a lot of concentration, would a single push make him lose control and cause the army to go back to being dead?
5) Isn't the Tryna, being basically a Mask of Zombies, be a little overpowered compared to other powers, like levitation or shielding?

1) Not well, no
2) Nope
3) You're right, it would, but you are summoning things that share your environment, and in this case, the environment you are sharing is under the sea. The Mahri are water-breathers, so anything they summon is going to be a water-breather as well.
4) If his concentration is shattered, then yes, they go back to being dead.
5) No, for precisely the reason you mentioned. You can raise an army against me, but if I hit you with a rock, zip, they're back to being to being dead. And, from a story standpoint, I needed something that a -- helps balance out the thousands of sea creatures following the Barrkai and b -- gives Matoro an ethical issue to deal with, since it is pretty unsavory power.

To #1-
Bats use Sonar quite well, so I don't see why the Arthron couldn't.
