Given the order of the Great Beings, would Mata Nui be able to use his "cosmic sustenance powers" to support a universe other than his own? (i.e. Matoran Universe)

It could well have been a dormancy stage between phases of evolution. 92) Some are, yes. We don't have hard and fast figures on their lifespan, but they don't get illnesses (or so it seems), they don't get cancers, and they are largely mechanical parts that can be replaced. Their lungs and muscle are organic, but apparently not prone to the weaknesses of our organic tissue. So there is no reason they could not last for ages.
