1hi there. just a few questions for you:
21) ok, someone was bound to pester you about it. with the release of the amazon TLR clip, there are some serious story holes, inconsistencies. in everything else gresh, kiina, and gresh apear in, aside from TLR, they have their set weapons. but in the amazon clip, they have diffrent weapons, and MN uses the ignika to transform them. i can see how kiina's trident and ackar's sword could be explained away (because the artists didn't know about the TLR weapons) but they're both the same type of weapons. gresh had a small curved blade, similar to antroz's. he couldn't have used that for the same things he used his sheild for in the comics. what is the official verdict on the waepons? what is the most canon?
32) why did the ignika give gresh air powers instead of plant life powers? he IS a jungle glatorian...
43) did the ignika give powers to the glatorian's weapons, or to the glatorians themselves?
54) MN says that they're "true toa" now. does that mean the ignika gave them toa enegry?
65) is the hero agori the teal and red agori seen in the 1st bara magna comic? (in the stands during the gresh vs skrall match)
7that's all for now, thanks in advance .
81) I had no involvement with the animation, so I can't answer questions related to why they animated something the way they did. Once the script was approved by all parties, my role in the movie was done. 92) But Mata Nui associates green with air, not jungle. 103, 4) I cannot discuss movie plot before the movie is out. 115) No. The hero Agori never appears in the comics.
12knew/assumed most of this... worth a shot though...

3Gresh said that Skrall shredded his blade in that clip, so I assume his weapon looked more like a shield earlier in the movie.
1Hi Greg, 2I just have a quick question about food for the MU. In Tales of the Masks, Whenua and Onua sit on a rock and eat from ration packs or something. Do the beings of the MU eat things they've harvested from around them, like Madu fruit? Or do they eat some sort of special Protodermis? 3It would be great if you could clarify. Thanks, 4ToC
5BIONICLE beings "eat" by making physical contact with certain substances, like fruit and fish, and absoring the energy directly from them. So they get their nutrition from the same sources we would, only in a different way.
6So I thought this was interesting. Om nom nom.

8Not a new factoid.
1Just arrived...
2OK, I truly am sorry if you've gotten this already, but it's been a while, so here goes . smile.gif
31. When the summer 2008 sets were first revealed at Toy Fair in their prototype stages, BS01 labeled Vultraz as presumably wearing a Kanohi Jutlin. They have since removed this statement. Can you confirm whether or not he wears a Jutlin, though? For two reasons: 1. We know the natural form of the Jutlin has no teeth, and they do look similar. 2. It would clear up some questions regarding the '08 Matorans' masks.
42 About the same time, the Jutlin page said that the it was the corrupted form of the Huna. Is this true, or some stupid theory that someone made up? Because this statement is gone as well.
6Thank you very much for your time, sir .
71) Bonesiii just recently sent me a whole big long list of masks and mask powers that they want to canonize, I don't recall if that was on there or not. You should probably ask him. 82) I have never said anything about it being a corrupt Huna. That makes no sense. You can't corrupt a mask and change its power. A corrupted mask just makes you follow Makuta's wishes. 93) Yes, it does come up a lot, which is surprising since it's so obvious. Who gave him the power, and what does that person associate the color green with?

1Hey Greg. I think I just made a connection...let's see what you think.
2First, a recent revelation from Empire of the Skrall:3The great tower ... the burning place ... in the Valley of the Maze. That is where they all were.
41. Does this confirm that the Great Beings lived in the Valley of the Maze?
5Now, a quote from Riddle of the Great Beings:
6The trip to the fortress had been a long one. The journey from the main gate to the central chamber took even longer. After the 100th twist and turn, Mazeka became convinced this was all on purpose. The Great Beings evidently did not welcome visitors, and didn't want those they did have to remember how to find them.
72. It sounds like the fortress is a giant maze. We also know of one giant maze on Spherus Magna: the Valley of the Maze. So, I have come up with two theories.
82a. The Valley of the Maze was once the Great Being's magnificent fortress, now crumbling and ruined due to the Shattering.
9or
102b. In the Melding alternate universe, the Great Beings took the Valley of the Maze and built on top of it, creating a mazelike fortress.
11Are either of those right?
123. Also, just a filler question here. The former Dark Hunter Tyrant's home island is described as a small island south of Odina. If you look here, the island in the red circle is small, and south of Odina. Is that Tyrant's homeland?
13Thank you for your time.
14
151) Before and just after there was a maze, yes, that was one of the places they lived 162) No, you are referring to the fortress in the alternate universe that Vultraz and Mazeka visited. You cannot assume a parallel to that exists in ours. 173) I haven't worried about that, too busy.
181. So, that wasn't specifically where they lived, but one of the places. Secret lab, anyone? 192.Well, I thought I was onto something, but it turns out I found out something equally as important. The GB fortress from the Melding doesn't necessarily exist in the main dimension. Interesting... 203. Darn.

1For all you pronunciation mongers (Shine) I got you some more. And some interesting Great Being/Angonce questions.
2Hey Greg. I had a few questions about Angonce and the Great Beings, after reading the new chapter of Empire of the Skrall.
31. Angonce participated in the ruling of Spherus Magna, and the construction of Mata Nui, like the other Great Beings, yes? 42. Is the legend about him (giving the female Skrall extreme power) actually true? 52a. If you can't answer that, can you tell me if it will be revealed? 63. Did he actually stay behind, after the others had fled? 74. What was he so interested in the Agori about? 85. All Great Beings have the power to freeze a temporal space around people, yes? (what the Great Being did in Reign of Shadows) 96. Is Angonce that same Great Being, the one that touched the Ignika? 107. Just taking a shot in the dark here, but... is the Great Being that touched the Ignika trapped in a Pocket Dimension? 117a. If so, is it possible that the cursed Great Being that contacted Vezon is from the main dimension, and not the alternate universe?
12Thanks in advance if you can answer these.
131) Yes 142) It's a legend, so impossible to say how much of it is true and how much myth at this point 153) Again, impossible to say 164) Not sure I understand your question. All GBs should have had an interest in the welfare of the Agori, they were their rulers, after all. 175) We don't know that. We don't know that all GBs have the same power levels or abilities. They may have vastly different ones from each other. 186) No 197) I can't answer this
20Interesting, very interesting.
214. Tuma says that he was more interested in the Agori, which is why he stayed behind. Is Tuma on the mark?
22Also, could you give me the following pronunciations? Thanks.
23Cabolo 24Perditus 25Photok 26Radiak 27Roxtus 28Shelek
29Again, thanks in advance.
305) Until someone finds Angonce, no way to know. 316) cah-BOE-loe 32PURR-dee-tuss 33FOE-tock 34RAY-dee-ACK 35ROCKS-tuss 36SHAY-leck
1Just a question: Did Greg answer PMs at all this week? Because I've sent him a PM with some questions last weekend and he still haven't replied to it.
1Hi Greg. 2I've got just a few questions concerning the movie. and arena matches. 3Feel free to leave out any you don't want to answer.
4Movie 51. Why did Raanu just sit there when Strakk broke the rules? I'm sure he could have done something about it.
62. Why is Gresh portrayed as a trainee Glatorian?
73. Is Tarduk in the movie?
84. You said Stronius was not in the movie but a few members claimed to have seen him in previews. Are the 'Stronius' just generic Special Force Skrall?
95. Minus the Ignika, will none of 2008 be mentioned in the movie?
106. Why have no Ice Glatorian joined Mata Nui's quest? In my opinion Gelu seems like a character that would join them.
11Arena Matches 127. Does Telluris fight in the arena? 137b. If yes, for who?
148. Does Shamad fight in the arena? 158b. If yes, for who?
169. Do the Skopio XV-1 and Thrornatus have an unfair advantage in arena matches as they have Force Blasters?
1710. In the Grand Tournament is it possible that Crotesius could end up fighting Preditus or can you not fight a member of your own tribe?
1811. How does one win a vehicle arena match?
1912. Is it possible to have tag-team matches? i.e Tarix and Kiina vs Vastus and Gresh.
2013. Does Stronius fight in the arena?
21Thanks for taking time to answer these.
22~IceToa~
231) He could have, yes, but he is also well aware from his experience in the war how much damage an angry Glatorian can do. If they wanted to, the Glatorian could slaughter a lot of Agori, so you have to tread carefully with them, at least in his opinion. 242) To my knowledge, he is not portrayed as a trainee. He goes to Tajun to train with Kiina, but all Glatorian have to keep in training, just like athletes do. 253) No 264) No idea. Have not seen the movie. I can only go based on who I know has speaking parts in the film, and Stronius does not have any lines. 275) Watch it and find out 286) Cause Gelu is not in the movie. 297) No. 308) For himself. 319) Skopio is not used in the arena. And match rules can forbid use of certain weapons if the fight is not balanced. 3210) It's possible, yes 3311) By disabling the other driver's vehicle 3412) No, they generally do not do that because then you are wearing out both your Glatorian in one match 3513) No

9Okay, I feel noobish now... At least I learned something.
1Wait- I feel noobish now- but who or what is this "Cabolo"?
1Tahurox, the BS01 Wiki never said any such things about the Kanohi Jutlin or Vultraz. So I'm really quite interested in knowing why you would say we did.
2~|ET|~
3Oops. After reading your post I just remembered that was a different BIONICLE encyclopedia website. Sorry for the confusion. I am 99% positive about the Jutlin/Huna thing. But no worries, that's gone. I have every ounce of respect for BS01. I can assure you I was not trying in any way to trash its reputation.
1Plus, who says Tarduk IS in the movie? Have you seen it? There is a jungle Agori, but nothing says it's Tarduk.
2Also, yeah, Cabolo was an explosive fruit from 2001 (if I recall correctly, it was actually the inspiration for the Thornax XP). Shine just kept bugging me to get a pronunciation for it.

1I assume Tarduk wasn't in the original script as he had no speaking role, and I doubt he will. Besides, GregF hasn't watched the movie yet, last time we checked.
1I'm writing about Vastus. Can I name the Area that The EM of Jungle rules?
2Can I call it The Untamed Jungle. Or Great Jungle. Or Sacred Grove. ???
3Any suggestions?
4Are you talking about the area on Bara Magna, or the other parts of the planet he ruled?
5The parts of Spherus Magna.
6The jungle EL ruled most of the third chunk of the planet, Bota Magna, as that was largely forest.
7BOTA MAGNA .
1I have an official Bionicle guide which says Vultraz is alive and has the ability to create Makuta.
21. Is this true? 31a. If it is, do you intend to put him in Reign of Shadows?
42. What is the creature that came out of the Coliseum which Toa Kualus summoned? 53. What happened to Pridak and co. when Teridax took over the universe?
6Thanks for reading .
71) Well, we know he's alive. It never stated in the serial that he was going to be executed. 81a) No, as he is in a different dimension. 92) Just a big, nasty creature 103) Nothing, as yet, since they are no threat to him
1It could be new info, but it could also be a typo. I wouldn't get too excited yet. But who knows? It might be something huge.
1Bota Magna makes sense, as in botanical.
1Cool. Someone should ask him if that is the correct name.
1Well, I personally don't like it. I'd actually have liked something with a C (Aqua Magna, Bara Magna, C Magna). Bota seems far too similar to Bara IMO. Still, at least that means it's better than Aqua Magna.
1Cool.

2It WAS the same place.
3I like it. It doesn't have to be a huge complicated name and it works. I hope next year is set on there...Without Mata Nui.
1I just emailed news about your discovery. Congrats on finding out .
1Must be stronger than the other ELs, then.
1Hi, Greg . I just have a few questions regarding the Core War:
21. Did Raanu participate in the Core War? 32. On BS01, it said that the only effort to tap the EP's power is to basically drain and collect the EP. But what good will that do when you are still uncertain what will happen to you when you are exposed to EP? 43. During the Core War, did a lot of Agori know about the geography north of the Black Spike Mountains? 54. Did most of the battles happen north of the Black Spike Mountains? 65. In my Core War story, would it be okay to have the tribe in control of the EP Spring use some captured prisoners from other tribes as test subjects for the Energized Protodermis?
7Please answer them, thanks .
81) What do you mean by "participate in"? 92) It's a gamble, Ackar -- you take the chance it will do something good for you as opposed to destroy you, or that it will do something bad to your enemies. What good is having any weapon, all it's good for is hurting someone else or yourself? 103) The ones who lived there did. The rest were like most people who mainly know the geography in detail of where they live, not of other countries. 114) No. We know there was a Battle of Iron Canyon, for example 125) No, I don't want any of the tribes portrayed as war criminals
13Thanks for answering my questions. For question 1, I meant did Raanu act as a support staff or fought in the Core War?
141) Support staff. Agori did not fight in the war.
1I don't mind Bota Magna, but I think something like Flora Magna would be better.
