1Or maybe they're called Vulcanus, Tajun, Tesara, Atero, Roxtus and Iconox. Could be, don't you think?
2No, those villages were named that before the ELs.
3No, the ELs existed before the villages did. Most of them were named after the Shattering.
4Why would they name the villages after the ones who were responsible for the destruction of their homeland?

5I never said the Agori named them after the ELs. Just that the ELs existed before the villages.
1Hi, Mr. Farshtey. I have a couple (well, actually they're more) of questions.
21.Could a Toa of Air control gases as well? 31b.If so, all gases, or only specific ones? 42.Could a Toa of air control antidermis in gaseous form? 53.Could a Toa of Water control antidermis in liquid form? 64.Is there something that Glatorian and Gaori would need daily to survive that Element Lords don't? 75.In a movie trailer, Mata Nui is seen striking some sparking thing in the back of Tuma, which weakens him. Would you describe that as a malfunction in one of Tuma's mechanical implants?
8Thank you for your time.
91) I don't think we have let them do that, no 102) No 113) No, because it's not water or liquid protodermis. Antidermis is too far removed from both chemically for it to fall under her purview. 124) No 135) Haven't seen the movie so can't comment on content in it
14I think it's a malfunction, it's the only reasonable answer.
1Hi, Greg. I hope you have a good day, with not too many questions to answer. I have a few questions for you:Geography of Spherus Magna
14Thanks .
- 2Did the Great Sea (Aqua Magna) cover the South Pole of Spherus Magna?
- 3Is the following statement correct of false? If you would compare a usual map of the whole Earth (Europe in the middle, Amerika to the left and Asia to the right) and a map of the whole Spherus Magna, you have:
9If false, how much is not correct?
- 4The Northern Frost in place of Arctis (The North Pole)
- 5Bara Magna place of Africa
- 6Bota Magna place of Europe
- 7The Great Volcano in place of north-western Asia
- 8Aqua Magna instead on Antarctis, at least a bit of South Amerika, and Australia
10Other
- 11Which of the following villages existed before the Core War? Atero, Roxtus, Tesara, Vulcanus and Tajun
- 12How did the Great Beings change the Zesk and Vorox to have stinger tails etc.?
- 13Did the Sand Tribe agree to do be changed by the Great Beings, or were they forced to?
151) I personally see the Great Sea as being southwest of Bara Magna, but I have no idea if that is how Denmark sees it. 162) I'm sorry, I don't really have time to do this right now. 173) They all did. 184) Tinkered with their genetic make-up 195) I think they agreed, not realizing what they were getting themselves into
20Nothing very interesting, except 5.
1EL is not on Aqua Magna. Most likely, there would be some structure of his under the sea, possibly having been discovered by escaped Pit inmates by now
2What about the actual original Pit itself? Is it possible OoMN discovered that and turned it into the Pit? Explaining why they made a prison there?
3I'm not following you. The original Pit, the one originally guarded by Hydraxon, is inside Mata Nui. No EL was ever inside Mata Nui. And the outside Pit -- out in the ocean -- had no structures. The only structure was the one the Barraki built, which got crushed by Mahri Nui.
4Riiiiiiight. XD In fact it would have to be quite far from there, yeah...
1Dear Greg,
21. Did the Jungle Element Lord rule the jungle Tesara is in?
32. A while back you said Iconox was made after the shattering and Tajun, Tesara , and Vulcanus existed before the Shattering. Is this True?
43.Did the Water tribe have a navy?
54. To the west of Tajun is a ocean of sinking sand. Did that area used to be the Great Sea?
65. Does the Water EL also rule the river dormus?
76. Did the Northern Frost melt after the Shattering?
87. you said part of the sand EL domain was the Bara Magna desert. What is the rest of his domain?
98. Did the Fire EL rule the Iron Canyon volcano besides the Great Volcano
109. Did the Rock and Sand tribe have any vehicles during the Core War?
1110. Were bone hunters raiders during the war?
1211. Were spherus Magna Villages during the core war like Metru Nui?
13Thanks Greg
141) It would have technically been under his control, but his main focus would have been a vast forest located in a different part of the planet 152) Iconox was made later, I would need to double-check the latest on Tesara 163) Transport ships, certainly 174) No. The Great Sea is the world the Mata Nui robot is on 185) Yes 196) No 207) That was the major part of his domain, as there were no other deserts 218) That would have been an area of influence, yes, hence the Vulcanus settlement being there 229) Not that I am aware of, no 2310) Yes 2411) They did have larger cities, yes, though we don't know if they were as sophisticated as Metru Nui, since Metru Nui is basically a mechanical brain

261. on the map of Bara Magna that came out in the January 09 magazine there is a place called the sea of liquid sand was the Great sea once that place or south of it on SM?
272. On the map it shows that the skrall river leads into the creep canyon did the water that went through the creep canyon go into the great sea on SM?
283. You once said that the Plagued tribe lived on Bota Magna on SM, did they live in the forest part of it?
294. Did Bota Magna have swamps in it on SM?
305. during the shattering the skrall were cut from their homeland. Was their homeland the forested mountains on Bota Magna that the Jungle and Rock element lords ruled?
316. If no to #5 where was the skrall homeland located on SM?
327.Did the element lord of ice or water rule the south pole of SM?

1Let me help you fix this.
2Hello Mr. Farshety I have questions i have been waiting to ask you.
3Spherus Magna: 41. Bara Magna+EOP+?=Spherus Magna?
5Mata Nui: 6These are for a fanfic i am making
72. When he returns to his body, will he bring the Bara Magnans to live in him?
83. How would he feel about every one knowing that they are inside of him?
94. Would he erase their memories of this fact? 104.a: If not, will he interact with his inhabitants?
115. Can he turn Matoran into Toa, Toa into Turaga, and Turaga into Toa?
12thank you for answering.
131) Can't answer it.
142) No. The Bara Magnans would have no desire or need to live inside him. They are not nanotech like the Matoran are, it is not their world.
153) I doubt he would care. They should know what their role is, after all.
164) No 174a) He never did before, not sure he would or not.

5interesting4We haven't given their race a BIONICLE name, because we haven't needed to for story.3i dont mean to be annyoing but if glatorian is a title what is their race called?im just curious1some questions on the glatorain1]can glatorian reproduce somehow? can they duplicate or something?2]can they remove there helmets?3] are they sorta prototypes of toa?4]what is their purpose?5]i forgot what their called but those things the skrall are running from are they glatorian too?6] what are the sisters of the skrall are they glatorain and why do they use there minds as weapons? do other glatorian know how to do that too?21) There is reproduction on Bara Magna, but it's not something we bother to go into since we have no "Bara Magna child" sets or any reason to include that in story.2) Yes3) No, they are more like inspiration for Toa. Toa are mainly mechanical and created by the Great Beings. Glatorian are mainly organic and were not created by the Great Beings.4) Survival. In this case, by working for villages so they get food, water and shelter.5) No. The baterra are machines.6) The sisters of the Skrall are female members of the Skrall race. They are not Glatorian -- Glatorian is a job title, like boxer or gladiator. And they use their minds because they have psychic powers.
10kewl91) Not that we have revealed2) Yes. The recent Empire of the Skrall chapter named one of the Great Beings, Angonce8wierd do they have another species name? have they got any individual names? to?6hi Greg i was reading some Bionicle things about the great beings was there more than 2 of them? becasue it said that the mask of life cursed one GB to bring everything around him to life and he went made from all the voices around him and was locked away and then 2 great beings took the ignika to the MU realy the question is:1) was their more than one great beings?71) Yes. We know there had to be more than one, because we know one was cursed by the Ignika and we saw two others in a novel bring the Ignika into the Matoran universe. There were others besides those three, as well.
1Hey Greg. A few questions about Kanohi.
21. Is the Kanohi Garai that Hewkii Mahri wears in normal Garai form, or did the Ignika stylize it? 32. Why isn't a Kanohi Komau considered an immoral mask? It robs the target of their free will, something I'd consider immoral. Numerous Matoran wear them, and Onewa seems fine wearing it. Any reason? 43. Would a Mask of Weather Control hypothetically be able sense weather patterns? (A point for my epic)
5Thank you for your time.
6
71) None of the Mahri masks are really normal, because they all have tubes coming out of them, for one thing 82) Well, if someone is about to kill someone, and you use the mask to make them stop, aren't you committing a moral act? You just saved someone's life, and did it without killing or even physically harming the person who was going to commit the murder. 93) Yes
10Sending replies to 1&2. 3's interesting, though: if there was a Mask of Weather Control, it would be able to sense weather patterns. Sorta like a Dermis Turtle...

11. Vakama encountered a being made entirely of fire within a lair of Makuta Teridax in BIONICLE Adventures #6: Maze of Shadows. I do not have the book with me, so I cannot remember what was explained about this being, but I believe Vakama identified it as a reflection of his own destructive power (or something like that). Here's the BS01 page on the entity. My question is, based on my recollection, was this entity an illusion set up by Teridax to make Vakama question himself? (If you have to look it up that's fine; I don't need a quick response so feel free to put this off as long as your busy schedule requires.)
21b. If not, can you give us any more info on the nature of this being?
32. Regarding the Force Blasters used on Bara Magna vehicles, are the spheres they launch similar in nature to the so-called "force spheres" in the Matoran Universe chute system, or are they totally unrelated?
43. Will you be giving Sahmad's tribe an elemental title in story? If it helps, Sahmad's armor is orange and black, and Telluris's is yellow-orange, dark gray, and yellow (since I know it's difficult to tell from pictures).
5Thanks in advance.
61) No, it was not an illusion, but beyond that, I do not have more info to give. What exists on the character was in the book. 72) Unrelated 83) I don't have plans to at the moment. Doesn't mean I never will, but I have other priorities right now
9Nothing good there. Maybe another time.
1Answer #3 gives us hope.
11]can glatorian reproduce somehow? can they duplicate or something?21) There is reproduction on Bara Magna, but it's not something we bother to go into since we have no "Bara Magna child" sets or any reason to include that in story.
3 This is really ground-breaking news, you know. A bunch of people have asked GregF about this and he's never given an answer before this . Congratulations .

5doesn't really matter and isn't really important. 'Reproduction' in the Matoran Universe is basicly Matoran building more Matoran. We've always known there was reproduction on Bara Magna.

7well seeing as they can't exactly get built it would imply so, but that is all we need, that is all we will get, and there is nothing left to discus.
1QUOTE 2"Greetings Mr. Farshtey. I've finally decided to submit an ask Greg question.

11Maybe we could get a book sized graphic novel...
1If the graphic novels were actually sold in Canada, I'm sure they would see a lot more sales. In fact, I'll get to him on that.

1I know that is going to be awesome. I hope you see a teaser of the 2010 sets.
1I know you must have a lot of questions flooding in, so i will try to keep this short.
21. If something happened to you, like your quite, or were fired, or something of the sort, who would replace your job?
32.Do you ever receive/build BIONICLE sets?
43. In tlr the skopio also has treads, did the great beings add on treads to this species, or was this just artistic licences?
54. How exactly is the mask of dimensional gates fused to Vezon, is it attached to his face like a mask, on the back of his skull like thi ignika was, or does he look the same and it is just the power of the mask that has been infused with him.
65. Sorry but i am a little confused, do new sapient species like Matoran and Vortixx come into being constantly in the mu, or are the people who started out there the only ones there?
76. Are the snakes from which Vastus extracts venom from rare, or are they a common animal for Tessera?
8Finally, I would like to right a thanks. You have taken a fairly simple and generic storyline for kids and turned it into an incredibly detailed and epic saga that all ages can enjoy. The world of BIONICLE is on of the most complex and realistic, not to mention dark, story lines in history, rivaling even the STAR WARS expanded universe . There are times when i think the potential for BIONICLE is restrained by LEGO, but these moments are far and few between. BIONICLE has hundreds of complex characters, locations, and things that almost always have back story and complete detail, that isn't needed at all but just gives us so much more and such a more realistic and powerful experience. You alway exceed expectations, and give fans what they want. 9Not only that, but you truly interact with your fans like no author i have ever seen before. You communicate with a large part of your fan base every day, and you answer questions, but you also let us add to the storyline. We have written canon stories, created masks, toa teams, several characters, explanations, as well as little details like the fact that Venom uses snake venom, or all sorts of other things. WE have also made pictures of characters, designed weapons, and done so much to the story. You have made us, your fan base, part of the story, and really put us into a world that you have created. 10Not only that, but your witting style is amazing. You still do write these books with 8 year olds in mind, so there will not be a lot of unnecessary descriptions, or length, or advanced vocabulary (even if I'm still not quite sure what Clairvoyance means.), nut you still manage to have stories that appeal to adults with dark turns and unsettling characters. Your witting is compelling and keeps one turning pages. That and a lot of BIONICLE is done in a god's eye view. With things like general explanations, and guides, alot of the story is told in an entierly different style of writing than normal stories which I really like . You have inspired all of my writing and i strive to improve and be more like you every day.
11Thank You, 12Redge the Bat.
131) Don't know. They might promote the senior writer in the job or they might look outside the company and recruit someone. 142) Yes 153) Yes, they did 164) Power has been infused into him 175) It is possible for new beings to come into existence within the Matoran universe, yes. We know that, for example, in Metru Nui, if the Turaga saw the need for more workers to do a project, more Matoran would be brought into being. 186) Common 197) Thank you, K. I have to agree with you that the potential for BIONICLE is enormous. It is tied to the toy line, so if the toy line were to go away, I'm not sure if there would be an official way to keep the story going. But I think a lot could be done with this story, even if someday there weren't toys.

8I did too. Greg is a great author, and the bionicle world has evolved out of the seemingly constrained limits of a toy line backstory. It's been the story thats kept me buying the sets, not the other way around. I salute him
1It's been the story thats kept me buying the sets, not the other way around.
2Same here. I bought Takanuva (my first non-blue set) because I liked the character, I bought Toa Ignika because I liked the concept of his character, and I bought Toa Mata Nui because he's MATA NUI .
3P.S. How exactly do I get the "posted by (such-and-such) at (such time) on quotes?
1It kinda makes you feel bad about a few months ago huh?
