1If it's not, that contradicts a lot of things I've heard lately.Someone really needs to ask Greg directly.
1Some interesting stuff that, as far as I know, isn't at all new.
91. Duh . I should have thought about that one a little more before I asked it. 102. Wait, what? I thought Jaller gave up his Noble Hau.
11--BZCoolness
2Hey Greg. Hope you're doing well. I've got two questions.
31. Why were the Special Forces Skrall not put into the Glatorian system along with the Warrior class Skrall? 42. This one has been bugging me for a while. If a Matoran wearing a Noble Kanohi (say, a noble Huna) turned into a Toa, would their mask turn into a Great version of it, or would the Toa have a Noble mask as its main mask?
5Thanks .
6--BZCoolness
71) Think about it -- if you are planning a war on a bunch of villages, do you really want to give them a preview of what your best soldiers can do, or do you want it to be a surprise? 82) We basically know the answer to this already. Jaller was wearing Lhikan's mask, which was a Noble mask, and it became a Great Mask when he became a Toa.
91. Duh . I should have thought about that one a little more before I asked it. 102. Wait, what? I thought Jaller gave up his Noble Hau.
11--BZCoolness
1I guess he got confused, but the answer still stands: Noble Kanohi turn into Great Kanohi when the user becomes a Toa. I think that was the last answer we got.
1Didn't we already know that?
GregF Bromion 1i just wanted to get some clarification on a couple of things that confused me in the last comic:
21. the only purpose of the golden armor was to destroy all kraata present during the battle? It does nothing else? 32. You may not be able to answer this one but, do the great beings know that Mata Nui has completed his mission? 42b. if they do know, would they ever return to SM or would they stay away knowing how the agori and glatorian feel about them?
51) Seems to me it didn't need to anything else, it won the battle for them. 62) I can't answer this
71. I was hoping the armor wouldn't be such a deus ex machina, but oh well. 82.shame we can't get an answer on this.
1HI Greg, nice to have you back. You probably have been asked a truck load of questions that people have been saving from when you got back, so I'll try to keep this short.
21. Now that the mata Nui robot is dead and no-one wants to try repairing it with the staff of Artakha, what will happen to it and the islands inside it. I thought that since it is on a planet instead of underwater, the body and the islands will fair better than the alternate one from the Kindome dimension.
3Keep in mind, though, that with the robot dead, there is no heat or light inside the the MU. So while there are beings/creatures inside it who probably could survive there still, most beings need heat or light to live, so it might not be the best place to stay.
4Couldn't they laboriously cut and remove the roof/ (Sky pointing) metal surface to let natural heat and light in? cuz it seams lika a waste of materials to just let the carcus rot (Excuse me, rust, tee hee )?
5They could do what you suggested, or simply cut it apart and use the pieces and tech within for other things -- and most likely they will -- but in story terms, Makuta just died five minutes ago, so right now what to do with the robot is not a priority.
6Thanks
1I trying not to sound mean, but a Toa of Anarchy sounds pretty stupid.
11. Is this only a US contest or is it worldwide? 22. Are there any character restrictions? 34. The power source that Mata Nui found in the Great Volcano can only be used for the prototype robot and not the potential third robot, correct? 45. The prototype robot was never meant to be used by Mata Nui, correct? 56. Does this mean that the power source was not supposed to be removed from the Great Volcano? 67. Did the Great Beings set up traps in the Valley of the Maze and Great Volcano so that no one would reach the power source? 78. Mata Nui and Tarduk discovered that the Great Volcano was a power plant. Was the power source that was used for the prototype robot acting as a power source for the Great Volcano? 89. If so, what happened when the power source was removed? Was there any sort of destruction of the Great Volcano? 910. Are/Were there other chambers within the Great Volcano that Mata Nui did not check? 10Thanks.
111) It's a US contest, because the comic is not available anywhere else. 122) No 134) Well, the third robot would have been built along the lines of the MU, so no 145) No 156) No, had the GBs built something else that could have used it, they would have removed it. But they didn't want the ELs getting their hands on it. 167) Yes 178) No 1810) Yes, some of which he does check in BIONICLE GN #10, if that ever gets published.
11. Are the Turaga still alive? 22. Is it possible to turn a Turaga back into a Toa and a Toa back into a Matoran? 33. What's happened to Krahka? 44. Where is Pewku? 55. How trashed is the rest of the MU? 66. Can the MU inhabitents get out of there?
7Thanks Mr. Farshtey (In advance, I don't even know if you're going to answer these questions )
8PS. I don't know why the smiley's there either.
91) Yes 102) Yes, with the Ignika 113) Nothing that I know of 124) By now, probably on the sands of Bara Magna 135) Metru Nui is damaged, the rest of the MU is largely intact 146) Sure. For one thing, there's a giant hole in the head.
15Thank you . (I was really getting worried about Nokama.)
16Awesomenokaness .
1G'day, Greg, hope all's fine in your neck of the woods. I was just wondering if you could clear up some confusion for me about location-related things...
21. About Nocturn's homeland... Is it definitively the place north of Odina (seen here). Apparently there was some discrepancy about the original question; claims that it cited information incorrectly. If it has always been said to be "destroyed," then the question was asked under false pretenses, with "destroyed" not necessarily being equatable to "split in half." While it is true the other way, that doesn't mean destroying has to translate into splitting. (And IMO the two islands are too far apart anyways to be considered once a single island; many islands are even closer, but they aren't formerly the same landmass.) Anyways, I just wanted to see if this could be cleared up - and am sorry if it already has been, becaues I must have missed it.
32a. Is there still desert left in the Bara Magna region of Spherus Magna? 42b. Does "Bara Magna," as a region, even exist anymore?
53. What remains of Metru Nui?
64. The central brain of the robot?
75. Were other places within the Matoran Universe damaged again?
86. Is there going to be any order to the redistribution of territory on Spherus Magna for all of its inhabitants? (Or is this something that may be later touched upon?)
91) This ended up sparking lots of confusion and becamse frankly more annoying than it needed to be. I have not definitively placed it anywhere. 102a) A small one, yes 112b) Yes -- although it is lush now, that is still what people call it, for the same reason that if the Sahara got lush, we would still call it the Sahara, even though that conjures the image of a desert in everyone's mind. 123) It's still there, just badly damaged. 134) Really badly damaged 145) No, it was mainly Metru Nui. 156) Well, don't forget that Bota Magna is inhabited too, so it's not like folks can just move there and claim it. What you may see is Agori drifting back to where they came from, and where others of their kind still live.

5Actually, as you will see at the end of the online novel, Tahu has a lot of new powers quite apart from the armor. Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide_
6I found this interesting.

1Hey there Greg. I sent you a PM a bit before your trip but it must have gotten lost in transit somewhere. Here's some Q's I can remember from it and some others.
21.) When Rookada mutates someone, it seems like she can change the person's powers, (Hagah, Nidhiki, etc.) Can the Mask of Mutation affect a person's powers in any way? If so, to what extent?
32.) What are the advantages of the Makuta working with viruses to create Rahi from the ground up over using a Mask of Mutation to shape any living creature into anything else they needed?
43.) I had a question about Great Beings' space travel, but you recently told someone else you couldn't comment on it, under orders from Denmark. Can you elaborate on why that is since the main story is over?
54a.) Prior to the newest movie, the only "work" we ever saw Matoran do were abstract things like make masks, archive things, etc. This sustained Mata Nui, since the civil war in Metru Nui stopped these things and hurt Mata Nui. Can you offer any elaboration on how exactly these kind of things kept him going?
64b.) In the new movie, we see Matoran physically working on giant machinery, as if they are actually physically maintaining Mata Nui. Where did this take place?
75.) I'm still a bit fuzzy on what exactly the Golden Armor was specifically designed to do, and how the Mask of Life made something non-living like that. Can you explain?
86.) On Earth, we marvel at how ancient humans were able to move stones that were only a few times as tall as they were. Is there any explanation on how the Agori mannaged to drag the unbelievably large prototype pieces together, in such a short time, with little to no tech?
97.) Can you quickly look at this one image? Even if we say that planets are much larger due to "Bionicle physics" than we're used to, that still doesn't explain how something that large can land covertly on an inhabited world and monitor the inhabitants. Instead, is it possible that Mata Nui's sensors are advanced enough that he could hide out on a neighboring planet to the one he's actually observing? And/or he only bothers to land at all when he plans on an extended period of watching? What are your thoughts?
108.) Will we ever find out why the GB's didn't use giant robots or ships to evacuate the inhabitants of Bara &Bota Magna?
11Thanks a lot .
121) Oh, I'm sure it can. I don't have a power description for it at this point, though 132) Well, for one thing, they don't all have Masks of Mutation. And I sort of see it as the difference between making beef stew from scratch or buying it pre-made and putting it in a microwave. The Makuta are artists and they like putting in the time it takes to do it with viruses as opposed to just zipping things into being with the mask. 143) If I knew, I would tell you, J. All I can say is I wanted to show a GB (at least the hand of one) in the graphic novels and was told no. Who knows, if someone in Denmark wants to keep BIONICLE in their back pocket in case they need it again, maybe they are thinking a future story would be built around the GBs. I really don't know. 154a) Nope, this is what was in the original story bible, which I had no hand in writing. So it is the rule we go by. 164b) No speciifc place was cited in the script. All that was asked for was a generic Matoran scene, and this is what the animators chose to make. 175) Non-living, yes, but do you know for certain it does not have any organic matter in it? As for what it did, it was designed to kill Rahkshi in the event they even ran amok. 186) They pulled really hard. 197) He is able to do it because it is a science fantasy story and we say he can, basically. The same way Superman can physically move the Earth or sling the moon like a bowling ball without causing massive tidal disturbances and wholescale destruction to the planet, or pick and put down office buildings with no one noticing he just severed all the water pipes, underground electrical cables, etc. 208) Yes, I can answer that. The Shattering was a very abrupt event, although they knew there was a definite potential for it to happen. But if they could not get the war to stop, how would they convince everyone to board rockets and escape the planet because of a disaster that hadn't happened yet and that they probably would not believe ever would happen? And once it had happened, you more than likely would have had another war as people fought to be the first in the rockets and to keep opposing tribes out. So it wouldn't have ended well.
21------------------------------------------------------------------------- 22A good batch of answers, I think. Still scratching my head over #7. Loved #6.

26) They pulled really hard.
3I laughed at that.
11) Will we at some point find out who or what is inside of the Red Star? 21) I'd assume so 32) Will we also ever find out just where the organic birds came from that were on the island of Mata Nui? 42) We know this already. They came from Spherus Magna. These were birds who fed on fish and nested on the water, and therefore did not need land to survive. 53) The contest on the back of the latest comic, is the winning entry going to become canon, or is this just for fun? 63) No, it will be canon 74) Now that Aqua and Bota Magna are part of Spherus Magna again, what happened to the dust clouds circling the planets? Have they also been pulled back to Spherus Magna? Stayed where they were? Or possibly drifted into a different shape? 84) They're still out there.
94 is kinda vague. But other than that nothing too interesting.
1The bolded questions and answers are the ones I felt were most important.
2Hey GregF, got some more questions. 31. Was Takua THE first Matoran to be created? 42. Prior to Teridax's death, did Pridak actually manage to reform the League of Six Kingdoms, or did he simply aspire to? 53. Assuming that Pridak does not know that Carapar is dead, would the Barraki consider finding a replacement for Takadox for the new League? I doubt they would want him back in because he betrayed them to the Brotherhood of Makuta. 64. On that note, is Takadox considered part of the Barraki still? 75. "They became actively involved in protecting Mata Nui from various internal threats, from races like the Barraki, the Skakdi, and others." This quote is from Journey's End, Chapter 4. I thought the Barraki was a group of six who come from different races. Is this just a mistake? 86. Have all the names from the 2009 list of names been exhausted? 97. If not, could you use the remaining ones for the remaining serials we have? 108. Did the piece that hit Teridax in the back of the head fragment from Aqua Magna as it hurtled through space or did it fragment as it was entering Bara Magna's atmosphere? 119. The votes are in for the primary and secondary colors for the element Gravity. Primary is purple and secondary is black. Do you approve of this? 12Thanks for your time.
131) Yes, I am okay with that 142) Aspired to 153) No, they would not want him back, but what they would probably do is just absorb his legion into their own. Fewer people to divide the spoils with that way 164) Not by them, no 175) You are correct, but the Matoran considered their races to be Barraki as well, so the term was inaccurately used for both (the same way Frankenstein's monster is called Frankenstein) 186) Yes 197) I have to get a new list for the new serials 208) Don't know, does it matter? 219) Sure
1Yay, official Gravity colour (that is what he said, right), also I think It's good if he does use Takua as the first Matoran, considering he is the only Toa of Light
1Meh, I would have thought the first Matoran would be more... prototype-y. I mean, there ought to have been a serious of primitive proto-Matoran. I'm okay with him being the first Matoran to be built and used in the Matoran Universe, though.
1Wait, does that make Onepu a Matoran of Gravity??? Sorry, this is going to be confusing.
1Wait, does that make Onepu a Matoran of Gravity??? Sorry, this is going to be confusing.
2Probably not, unless Greg deals us another story twist, heh. But I'd guess Matoran kept mistaking him for a Ba-Matoran back in the days of Metru Nui's prosperity (when Matoran all around the universe visited the place). Must've been irritating..

1Sorry to break up the off-topic discussion, but I found out something interesting:
2Hello, I just had one question for today, but I understand if you can't answer.
3With the shutting down of the Matoran Universe robot, what will become of Tren Krom? I assume Mata Nui cannot free him from the island if he's resting in the Ignika, so will he just leave him stranded there (Assuming he hasn't forgotten about Tren...)? Or will this be covered later in the story?
4Thanks in advance.
5It's a good question, and yes, it will be dealt with later.
1I hope he sacrifices himself to give the residents of the Matoran Universe time to escape. But apparently, we'll find out.
1No, wasn't Helryx created before him?

6I bet Taipu had the same problem
7And Helryx was made as a toa
1Nah, BS01 lists the Matoran as coming first.
1Takua's the first Matoran, the most famous Av-Matoran, and the only Toa of Light? He's even more of a favorite character to me than ever .
2(Also, I find it amusing that everyone talks down to Takua as a kid back in the day, yet he's the eldest.)
3-Pyro
4Well, considering how MU inhabitants don't seem to show physical signs of aging, and how most of them were created around the same time, presumably experience and maturity mean a lot more to them than physical age. Takua's the oldest, but he spends his time playing around and not doing work, so he's treated the same way we'd treat a kid.
1Hey GregF, got some more questions. 21. Was Takua THE first Matoran to be created?
31) Yes, I am okay with that
4So Takua is Turaga Vakama's elder. Because Takua is the oldest being in the Matoran universe alive. Wow...
5So the oldest being in the MU liked to put light crystals on his head and hop around pretending to be a bunny rabbit...Nice.
6Maybe he's just senile.
7Anyway, new stuff from Greg:
8Hi Greg, a quick question: Is a Matoran's gender determined by their AI programming?
9I would say yes.
101. So the Av-Matoran can be both genders because they were intended to be genderless machines, and weren't programmed with a specific "gender value"? 112. Were the Matoran created later intended to have specific genders? (ie was it a deliberate part of their programming?)
12Thanks .
131) Not sure I understand your question -- if they weren't programmed with a gender, they wouldn't have one. 142) Yes
15Okay, now for the big one...
162. Since gender is merely programming (as opposed to being directly linked to their elemental power), is it hypothetically possible to build, say, a Matoran of fire with female programming?
17Thanks again for your time .
181) The Great Beings could have done that, had they chosen to, yes.
