1Some of these might be a bit dull, or obvious, but I wanted to know them for sure:
21. If the Brotherhood of Makuta was planned from the start, why was the 2001 media allowed to refer to Makuta as (rather ironically) the brother of Mata Nui?
3Just because we knew something doesn't mean we wanted you to know it at that time. Plus, only the Turaga knew there was more than one Makuta and they couldn't admit that they knew. The 2001 Matoran had no idea, so why would it have come up?
42. Was the main Makuta called Teridax from the start? Because I find the sound of the name Teridax a bit difficult to reconcile with that of names like Pohatu, Nokama, Akaku, etc.
5No. The decision to give him a name wasn't made until 2008, when we had other Makuta as characters in story and it wouldn't make sense for them all to call each other Makuta. Keep in mind, also, that the 2001 names were Maori terms, and post 2001 was not, so things sound different.
63. You mentioned that Metru Nui was planned from the start. Does that include Dume and the Vahki?
7Yes
84. Were the origins of the Toa 'Mata' planned from the start? Given that it was implied in 2001 that they arrived from the same place as Mata Nui.
9Again, that implication was coming from Matoran with no memories of their past, just fragments of legends. So yes, the origin of the Toa was always known. And technically, they DID come from the same place as Mata Nui, since they were created when Mata Nui was still on Spherus Magna.
105. What purpose were the Kal meant to serve in the overall storyline? They've always seemed a bit pointless.
11The Kal were a last-minute addition, when it was realized that the line was selling fantastic and we had no sets planned for winter 2003. The company didn't want no product out for a year for their hottest line, so the Kal were born.
126. So it was always planned for Takua to become a Toa - was he always going to be a Toa of Light?
13Yes
147. Is the content of the MNOLG considered official?
15The overall events, yes. A lot of the details, like taxi crabs, no.

11)In Destiny War, a BoM fortress (the one where Zaktan and Pridak found out about Teridax's Plan) is implied to be to west of Destral. If so, was the fortress located on this island (marked with red)?
21) Yes
3That poses a problem, considering that between Destral and that island there's no MU.
4Lol 5Yeah, Sorry it's just funny. 6Probably Gahlok Va and GregF didn't think that one. 7Lord Riglax 88 Days

11. Can anything make a Toa's Spirit Star disappear besides that Toa's death? 21a. If yes, do Toa/former Toa like the Dark Hunters Nidhiki (until his death), Spinner, and Savage still have Spirit Stars?
32. If you've decided, is Lhikan's golden armor something he was given, like the Toa Hagah's armor? 42a. If yes, did he receive it for protecting Metru Nui from the Kanohi Dragon, or another time? 52b. If yes, do you picture the other Toa Mangai to have similar metallic armor?
63. Could you describe the Toa's methods during the Dark Hunter invasion of Metru Nui? Did they imprison as many Dark Hunters as they could, or did defeated Hunters usually retreat and recover? Did they follow the Toa rule about killing less strictly during the war?
71-1a) Not really something I have investigated. 82) I have not pictured it as something he was rewarded with. 93) You definitely want to imprison/incapacitate the enemy, because otherwise, you just have to fight them again. And I think they probably did follow the code less strictly, simply because the code exists in large part to govern how the Matoran see them. I don't think the Matoran would have an issue with them killing in a war, in the same way humans allow our soldiers to kill in war but not in normal everyday life.
1QUOTE 2QUOTE 3QUOTE 4Helo greg. Could you answer these questions please?
51. Are the six Piraka plus Nektann, are their names in Matoran or Skakdi? (because that would be a problem for poor Avak as he is not light at all) 62. Do their names mean anything in the lanuage they are in? Like strong arm, etc...? 73. Can we assume that the Skakdi language has lots of K's in it, so it's more K cnetered than Matoran is? 84. Is the -ann ending a sign of leadership in Skakdi naming? Because the only three that have it are Zaktan, Nektann, and Hakhann.
9KLI
101) Why would Avak mean light? Does license refer to light? Just because his name starts with those two letters doesn't mean it has to have something to do with light. At any rate, just as we use BIONICLE terms interspersed with English words in the books, so too do the Matoran call the Piraka by their Skakdi names. 112) Most likely, but I have no idea what. 123) Why would you assume that? 134) No, because Zaktan was certainly no leader when he was with the Skakdi. He led the Piraka, but was working as a slave in a mine before that.
141. Because Avak is split up int Av-ak. Av- has been conformed to be the prefi for light. But not a problem since their names are in Skakdi and not Matoran. 152. Thanks for telling me that. I appreciate it. 163. Because all 7 Skakdi we know have atleast one K in their name. And It's a harsher, crueler language. 174. I was justing guessing there.
18And some more questions:
195. Can Toa of Air control what kind of Air they produce? Like absorb CO2 and release Oxygen? 206. Of the eight Kanoka Disk Types, there are: 211.Reconstitutes at random - Could this be a confirmed mask power? 222.Freezes - Probably counts as an Elemental Mask, but coul it be a mask? 233.Weakens - Could this be a confirmed mask? 244.Removes poison - Could this be a confirmed mask? 255.Enlarges - Already a Mask 266.Shrinks - Already a Mask 277.Regenerates - Already a Mask 288.Teleports - Already a Mask.

301) And license is split up as li-cense. That's a syllable, it's not a prefix in this case. 313) Nope, we just do a lot of k's because it is easier to get words approved by Legal if they have k's in them. 325) Don't know, hasn't come up in story 336) Any of them have the potential to be masks, as any disk does. Whether they all exist as masks someplace is unknown.

7A boat would do it easy. It's just sea in between Destral and the island, no reason you couldn't sail

8No it can't because the western island in Mata Nui's arm and Destral is in his torso. To get to the western island you have to go up to the shoulder and down the arm to get there. The island is still west of Destral, it just that you can't sail to it going west.
1Well, if you look at the mu from the outside there are tubes conecting his arms and torso, which I always imagined contained tunnels of sort.
1That actually makes some sense.
1Hey GregF, just 2 questions. 21. Is a Spirit Star tangible? Like can one touch it? 32. There's something I don't understand. Krakua is supposed to send a message to the past to Turaga Vakama. While he's doing that, he's guarding a besieged island fortress. But the Matoran Universe is destroyed now. So did Krakua already defend the island fortress during Teridax's reign or will he do so on Spherus Magna? 4Thanks.
51) It's energy 62) I can't answer this. It relates to future storyline.
7maybe Krakua part of the new Toa Team in the new serial maybe something happens that makes him do that
8I hope so cause he´s a great Toa
1Yes, but he doesn't have tubes connecting his arm and torso.
1Yes, but he doesn't have tubes connecting his arm and torso.
2Exactel. The only tubes he has go from his chest to his torso. To clarify why this is an issue at all, though, what is the direct quote that "implies" the fortress is west of Destral?
3(Also, note: Destral does MOVE, and was implied to have moved in the Bionicle News Update mid-2007, thus AFTER Pridak discovered that fortress, yet BEFORE the time that the MU map represents.)
4-Paradox-
1Yes, but he doesn't have tubes connecting his arm and torso.
2Think of it this way, though: you can't possibly walk from something on one side of the Great Wall of China straight to something on the other side, but you'd still say "town x is west of town v". Another example:
3DIAGRAM
4= 5Town X = Town V 6= 7= 8=
9N 10W E 11S
12See what I mean? You can't go straight through, but the directions relative to it don't change.
1Yes, but in context it makes more sense for them to go straight west.
1Hi Greg . I know you´re busy but could you please answer these questions. 21.- Can Takanuva fuse with any Makuta to transform into Takutanuva? 32.- Takua said on the Bonus Features of Mask of Light that Hahli loved Jaller does she still loves him now as a Toa? 43.- How fast can a Toa wearing a Kanohi Kakama run like on km or miles? 54.- Can a Toa use the power of any mask, for example: If Jaller was walking and then he founds a Pakari on the floor could he use its powers? 65.- I have a theory about the Shadow matoran: let´s say Gavla is flying somewhere, then Takanuva arrives and brings her to a Klakk to restore her light, now she has no shadow inside, so would she still have a noble Avsa as her mask or would it change to another one? cause I believe no matoran would want susch mask. 76.- Is Tanma´s mask, a noble version of the adaptated Miru Nuva or is it of the normal Miru? 87.- why there wasn´t a movie about the 2006 storyline? 98.- I know the movie about Bionicle 5 with Mata Nui, Ackar and kiina landing on Bota Magna was canceled but will there be another movie? 109.-I don´t understand very well the Toa code, it says that Toa can´t kill their enemies, so which powers would not kill them? also the toa Hordika killed many visorak in the coliseum was this allowed because they were half beasts or what? 1110.- If only a Makuta can wear a Jutlin how would it turn into a noble Jutlin because they don´t become Turaga and there aren´t Toa of shadow' 1211.- why are the star sets so short? 1312.-apart form Toa stones which other way can a matoran become a Toa? 14thanks for your time and I hope you answer my questions. 15P.S you´re my favorite author

16...EPIC FACEPALM
17You have to PM GregF . You know, reading the first post of a topic, and the other posts, helps.
18Anyway. I sent Greg a message a week ago. Is it normal for him not to respond?
19And a point of discussion. Would the MU inhabitants have noticed if MN opened his mouth?
20I mean, a FRIGGIN' GIANT HOLE IN DA SKY would probably have aroused SOME suspicion.
1Actually, Metru-Nui is in the "Brain" Cavity. Karzahni I think is in the throat. So if a hole did open it would open in between the Metru Nui and Karzahni domes.

11A wall is a wall. You can get from Destral to that island, and even if you couldn't it is still geographically the isle west of Destral. Heck if we can use the expression "our neighbours across the pond" to refer to Americans when we have an ocean between us, a little something like an armpit isn't going to be much trouble

12Yes, but we refer to Oxford as being west of London, not east of New York. Saying the island is west of Destral doesn't provide any useful information if the universe actually ends in-between.
1Yes, but if one asks were Canada is, and they are told that Canada is to the north of America, it implies that Canada is directly north of it. Now if one asked where Brazil is, one wouldn't say that Brazil is South of America, even though it is, as that would imply around Mexico's location, as apposed to say, East of Chile. It's accurate, but only on a technical level, and it doesn't make much sense in context.
1Except that therelative locations shift when Mata Nui raises his arms?
1Yes, BUT at this time Mata Nui was lyeing down flat anyway, AND by that logic every time he moves the world would go all topsy-turvy. No, Greg has said that the Mata Nui robot can correct things like that so that the inhabitants don't notice the universe shifting and it all seems normal.
2I again bring up my theory that the arm-torso tubes are inter-dome tunnels.

2We've seen them, but I don't think GregF has said wether travel through them is possible or not.
3I think if there were wires, they'd have some other, more important purpose
4Well, they'd be a couple of kilometers across, enough to fit a tunnel inside.
11.What will happen to the rahi that are in stasis in the onu-metru archives? Did the tubes shatter again after Teridax fell?
22. If there was a story where you could focus on a character (like Vakama in Time Trap), who would it be?

1Hey GregF, just few questions regarding the Stasis Toa Short Story Contest. I would like these questions out of the way before anyone else bothers you with them. 21. Are contestants allowed to write that The Shadowed One himself captured the Stasis Toa? Like did TSO ever go on missions himself or was he for the most part stuck in Odina? 32a. Can contestants write that the stasis Toa was part of Toa Jovan's Team? 42b. Toa Dume's Team? 52c. Spinner's Team? 62d. Savage's Team? 72e. Alone? 8Thanks.
91) Highly doubtful 102a-2e) Any of these are okay.
111. Is it circumstantial, then? Would you allow The Shadowed One to capture the Toa if the Toa was on Odina (Dark Hunter island), but not if the Toa was in the Northern Continent? 123. One contestant asked if they can assign one of the Toa Hagah (Norik, Gaaki, Iruini, Bomonga, Kualsi, or Pouks) members to this Stasis Toa's Toa team, seeing as each Toa Hagah came from different Toa teams. Is that fine? 134. Also, in case this question pops up, if a contestant wants to state that the Stasis Toa was part of Toa Jovan's Team or Toa Dume's Team, could he assign one of the Toa Hagah members to Jovan's Team or Dume's team, seeing as each Toa Hagah came from different Toa teams and we don't know when each Toa Hagah member came into being? 145. One contestants asked if beings in suspended animation can still think. He was planning to make his Toa look back on how he got captured while he's in suspended animation, like first person. So is that possible or are they not aware of their surroundings? 156. Which reminds me, can contestants write in 1st person? 167. Some contestants complained that the timelines of some Dark Hunters are a bit difficult to interpret, and it is a bit hard coming up with a list of allowed Dark Hunters. On top of that, some Dark Hunters aren't qualified to be in this story because they don't fit the timeline. Are members allowed to create a Dark Hunter with a codename (like Gladiator or Silence) that captured the Toa if they wanted to? 17Thanks.
181) There's no reason to believe TSO captured the Toa himself, and a lot more reason to believe he did not. 193) Yes 204) Yes 215) No, it's not. Your life processes are basically frozen, you can't think in stasis. 226) Yes, just not from the viewpoint of that Toa. 237) I'm okay with that.
1Excuse me, mr. Farshtey... I've read on Biosector that Firedracax with his kin fled from an unnamed landmass south of Metru Nui which was wrecked by Visorak. Looking at a map of the Matoran Universe, I've assumed that it is not Xia, Odina, Zakaz, Daxia, Destral or Stelt, or the two continents, because they were still populated in the time of the Toa Nuva. Also Karzahni - I assumed that the being of the same name would not let Visorak destroy his land. Then, I came across a few pieces of info.
2One of the [Southern] islands was also conquered by the Visorak at some point in time. This island was liberated by Toa Lesovikk while he was exploring the area.
3The islands became the home to several species but very few [but this proves that there were indeed some settled by Matoran] were ever settled or explored by Matoran.
4Originally unnamed, it [the island of Visorak] was the home of Tobduk's species, until Makuta Chirox (who was assigned to watch the island) arrived on the island and created the Visorak. The Makuta then tested out the powers of the spider-like Rahi, destroying the village in which Tobduk resided. The island was subsequently named after the Rahi by the Brotherhood of Makuta.
5Judging by this, I came to the impression that Firedracax originated either from the Southern Island conquered by the Visorak or from the island of Visorak.
6Unless, of course, there may have been a small Visorak assault upon a village or two in one of the two continents.
7Is my theory even close to being true? 8-Dovydas
9Since every landmass is south of Metru Nui, you have a lot of choices. And yes, odds are he came from one of the southern islands.
