3And Greg said that nothing was done to protect thr Vahki from being reprogrammed so it would make perfect sence.

1'Allo 'allo, how's my good man Greggy doin'?
2Just wondering, since this year is set underwater, wouldn't it be difficult to attack others? I mean, water really, really slows movement, and considering Hydraxon has Boomerangs, Jaller a sword, and so forth, couldn't the Barraki easily evade these attacks? Unless of course the said tools and 'mutations' caused their flesh, armour, and similar to change the atomic formation so they'd pass through water as they would in air. Could that be it, or is it just another thing not worth explaining or thought of? 3Concerning Gadunka, is his/her/its intelligence on the same level as a Matoran, or is it similar to that of someone such as Krekka, or a Kinloka? 4Lastly, just for personal interest, is it confirmed that the mask taken from the Silver Sea was the Kraahkan, or is it just an assumption? Surely there are many other Kanohi resting there...

51) I have never seen Submariner, Attuma, Aquaman, the hordes of Atlantis, or for that matter, sharks and octopi having much of a problem attacking or defending underwater. Remember, this is a comic book universe - you have to make some allowances for that. 62) It's on the same level as a Kinloka, or in our world, a manta ray or a crab. He's a Rahi. 73) Hasn't been confirmed, but evidence would seem to point that way
8Just curious about some things...

3Yeah that would be cool. I sent Greg a message concerning that. It has to do with DH's having to occupy Vahki bodies after their bodies are incinerated while their spirits are "knocked" out.

1QUOTE 2Please take a look at the bolded part, I think you missed it last time, so here it is again.

3QUOTE 4I sent these, but haven't received any answers, so here they are again. 5Hello, just a few questions to answer if you don't mind.
61. I read that someone sent you destiny questions, he beat me to it. But can destiny be cheated in Bionicle with anything, like the Mask of Life?
72. Do you believe in destiny in reality, as in it guides our whole lives, not only part of it is destined, but the whole thing? 82a. Do you believe that only parts of our lives are destined, the rest are free will?
93. You told me before that the prototype squid launchers that you used worked well, have you used Cordax Blasters like that yet? 103a. If so, did they work well?
114. Would you say that there is a posibility of a Bionicle tv show? Just curious if one was ever considered.
125. If there would be one, do you think you would write the script?
136. Have you visited this forum yet? I'll give the adress since I don't know how to hyperlink on this site yet. http://www.bzpower.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=248167 If you haven't, could you if you had time, it's pretty interesting with the ideas, and I'm working on some during the summer, just thought I'd mention that. Could you let me know what you think of the idea?
147. Do you have the release dates for the Mahri? 157a. Hydraxon, Gadunka, or Maxilos and Spinax?
168. Out of the Inika/Mahri, who do you think is the most strategic?
179. What happened to the original 7? Why was it cancelled?
1810. Have you ever heard of the ancient Japanese, or maybe Chinese game called Go?
19That's it for now, thank you.

201) Good question. Can you cheat destiny? Or is the destiny you achieve by "cheating it" what your true destiny was all along? 212) I believe that our lives are on a path that goes to a certain destination. If we choose, we can leave that path for another, which will go to a different destination. I also believe a lot of the unhappiness in the world comes from people not walking on the path that is right for them. 223) No, never played with those 234) The idea has come up, but never gone very far. One of the major issues with it is that to make a successful TV show, you have to be able to sell it overseas. And a lot of countries won't air a show based on a pre-existing toy line, because they see it as just an ad for the toys. 245) No idea. 256) I will check it out later 267) Official release date is 8/1, which means in stores usually in July sometime 278) Jaller and Kongu 289) Due to a decrease in book sales, Scholastic decided to go to a one every three months schedule for the novels, instead of one every two months or so, which meant one book had to be dropped from the schedule. 2910) Heard of it, not familiar with it

30Please take a look at the bolded part, I think you missed it last time.

31Just some more things based on this PM. I sent this, but I don't think you got it, so here it is again.
321. For cheating destiny, I have an example to base this question off of. In a show that I watch called Oban Star Racers, racers compete to obtain the "ultimate prize", a single wish. In the finals, there are 9 final racers. One of them is a magician named Sul. The second winner I believe has been corrupted and is watching the races in his prison. He predicts one of the racers to win, but Sul wins every time he predicts someone else. He then traps and presumably kills Sul later with his powers. But every time he says, "The wheels of destiny have turned at him." or something like that. Would something like that be able to happen?
336. You don't have to check it now, but just let me if you have. Please let me know when you get to look at it. I am working on Moc's I guess it would be out of the idea.
3410. If you get a chance, you should learn to play it. For a report I did in school about one of the pro titles, I gave a description of the game, here's part of it: it takes minutes to learn, but a lifetime to master. So it wouldn't take long if you'd have the chance. It's fun none the less.
35Now, some new ones.
361. When would you release Makuta's true name? I believe I read next year or something.
372. Who would you say is the darkest of the Inika/Mahri. I think Matoro for some reason, probably the part from Legends 7 that I've read.
383. If Matoro revives a shark, could Pridak control it, or wouldn't it listen to him?
394. Could Ehlek channel his electricity like an element, like through a weapon?
405. Have you ever seen the show Doctor Who? 415a. The Lost Room?
42Thank you. 43QUOTE

44I sent answers to your old ones last night.
451) Next spring 462) Certainly his mask power would edge him that way, yes 473) No, it won't listen to him. It's dead. It follows the one who reanimated it. 484) No 495) Yes 505a) No

51Please take a look at the bolded part, I think you missed it last time, also, what Doctor Who have you watched, I started watching it on PBS, and I've seen the new season, the Ninth Doctor.
52Thank you.

531) Sorry, I don't understand the example and how it relates to BIONICLE.
542) I started watching Dr. Who when I was about 10, with the fourth Doctor. 55QUOTE

56This is what I meant for 1 if you would take the time to answer it.
571. You said that maybe cheating destiny is part of their destiny. Could a being, like with the Mask of Life, change the "wheels of destiny" if you know what I mean?
58Thank you.

59I was going to say no, but then thought about it -- I think there are beings who could change destiny of those in the Matoran universe, but they would only be the Great Beings and the Great Spirit. I don't think anyone of lesser power could do that.

1Hello, Mr. Farshtey, I would ask two questions.
21. Are there female Skakdi?
32. What is the true pronunsiation of the name "Kalmah"? I saw the "KAL-my" on Biosector01, but I don't understand, is the "h" in the end pronounced or not.
4Thanks in advance, sorry for the trouble.
51) Probably 62) It's Kahl (pronounced like "doll") -my (pronounced like "Ma") -- I don't know where they get "my" from.
#8967
1A couple of Q's about the short story.
21. Do you plan on writing more about Lhikan's team in the future? 31) Nothing planned at the moment, I don't have a lot of spare time
42. Is the chameleon-like Dark Hunter that Lhikan fought a DH that we know about already? 52) Think so

6And a non-Bionicle question.
73. When's your birthday? 83) July
9Aww, he didn't give a day...

10:Venomess:

#8968
1Three Questions: 21) In The Many Deaths of Toa Tuyet, what would Nidhiki have done with the Nui Stone if Lhikan hadn't destroyed it? 32) Could the mask of life do what it did for Hydraxon on Dekar to Mata Nui? 43) Will the Toa Mahri/Inika that uses the MoLi die?

51) Exactly what Tuyet was doing, tapped its power for himself 62) I don't think turning someone else into Mata Nui would be within its power to do. 73) You'll have to follow the story for that answer.

8Some more stuff from Greg. :happydance:

1D.Q proudly presents..... 2The Complete FAQ and Guide on How To Use A Mask of Intangibility:

3Hey Greg, got a a question about Toa Tuyet's mask: 4Is the Mask of Intangibility basically the same as Matoro's Iden, only that the user doesn't leave a physical body behind? If not, what are the differences?

5No, it's not at all the same. The Mask of Intangibilty allows you to make your physical body unsolid, so you can pass through solid objects and solid objects can pass through you. Unlike the Iden, you are not leaving your body, nor do you become invisible or unable to be heard. You are just changing the density of your body.

6Would you still be able to fly like in Matoro's spirit form? And also, if you accidently become solid inside, say, a Dark Hunter, would you get permanently merged and both die, or would the DH just explode?

71) No. 82) Most likely if you went all the way solid inside any other solid object, you would die, and if it was a living being, they would die too.

91. Can you at least walk or something? Cuz it would be pretty useful to infiltrate places if you could do that..... 102. What if the thing you're becoming tangible in has a sufficient volume to store a Toa, say, the Kanohi Dragon's stomach(If it has one). Would you be able to swell it up and make it explode form the inside?

111) Yes, you can walk, swim, etc. 122) If it has sufficient volume to store you, then your presence inside is not going to make it swell up. If you turn solid inside a space big enough to hold you, then you won't do any damage. Only if you turn solid inside a space NOT big enough to hold you is there a problem. And if you turn solid within such a space, you are going to die too.
13Yay for the Kanohi Dragon exploding thing. I wanted to make the swelling up part a bit more specific, like Tuyet filling it up with water, but I suppose you could just grab a Cordak Blaster and......KABOOM: XD

9No no, BIONICLE physics is one thing. How to say a name is another. It should be as what BS01 really says -- "CAL-my" and not Koll-my as Greg has XD
10Also, to yet again clear things up because people periodically wrongly accuse BS01 of being faulty:
11BS01's Kalmah page has always said "CAL-mahh" (minus one h) as his pronunciation (though there was an early typo with two h's, but that's moot :P). We got this from Greg a long time ago when folks kept asking him for it so he just dished it out.
12I don't know where you got "my" from. :shrugs:
13~U
14EDITSIES: Actually, the official pronounciation is usually the way Greg says it (as he then tells us or uses his idea of how to say it to write the encyc). If the name is Mantax, Greg's pronunciation won't be like.... Meh-tocks or something like that. The reason why a name is pronounced a certain way depends on either the whole storyline team or Greg.
15EDITSIES2: Whoops to everyone. BZP filters emm, ahh, h because they consider it as slang for "my."
#8975
1Ok. So "M-A-H" shows up as "my".
2EDIT: Stupid filter.

1More stuff from Greg. Enjoy:
2Salutations. I have a few more questions to ask.
31. The general acceptance of the stories in the Bionicle games as canon is off and on, I find. Do you feel as though you'd want to have a bigger role in the story development of the Bionicle games, to make them seem more meaningful to gamers?
42. Prior to the Makuta of Metru-Nui's impersonation of Turaga Dume, could he have adopted the form we know as Makuta-Nui?
53. The Pit was intended to house those who have committed serious crimes, such as betrayal (Brutaka and Toa Tuyet, for example). However, would the Order of Mata Nui find it fitting imprison someone who had committed such crimes UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANOTHER BEING , or would said other being be incarcerated?
64. On the note of Toa Tuyet, Dume was the one contemplating her punishment, correct? Was the notion of having her imprisoned within The Pit his own, or was it suggested to him by someone else? I don't know if I can see Dume, even with all his devotion to the Matoran and Mata Nui, making such a harsh judgement of a disillusioned Toa without some sort of external goading.
75. The Order of Mata Nui is very subtle and secretive when dealing with a threat to Mata Nui's will or well-being. Nevertheless, have there been times where someone other than a Toa or Turaga may have been witness to part or all of a OOMN member's operations (besides the incidents with Axonn & Brutaka, and the incident with the Karzahni plant)? In the event that something like that should happen, how does the OOMN go about retaining their behind-the-scenes status?
86. Has Metru-Nui done business with Xia at any time in its lifespan?
97. Concerning the Kanohi Ignika, why did it assume the form of a mask? If it indeed encompasses the full potential of life, then why didn't it appear as a crystal orb or something else?
108. No one likes to be caged up. I doubt the Ignika liked it either, being somewhat sentient. Given that it has had millenia to let its "mind" wander, why didn't the mask try to find some means of escape other than relying on other beings to come to it? Was it actually trying to keep its future secure by holding out for someone or something that could keep it safe from harm, like a child clings to its parents when feeling threatened?
119. Was Dume a Toa before or after the creation of Metru-Nui?
1210. Was Dume part of a team of Toa, or was he a single Toa protecting a small island home, like many other Toa at the time?
1311. Is there a reason why Matoran seem to be the only beings capable of becoming Toa? Does this reason involve the place of origin of the Toa Mata?
1412. Given that Toa Lesovikk had years to at least partially get over the fact that his team was dead, wouldn't he try to make contact with the surface world or the domed continents? Or was something else keeping him from entering society again?

151) No, not really. One, I don't have the time. And two, the demands of a game are different from the demands of a toy line or an epic story. In a game, you almost always have to have power ups, etc., and those are just distracting in a story, plus it gets redundant if every year they are collecting items like that.
162) He could adopt that form anytime he wanted, he's a shapeshifter.
173) I would assume if you were mind-controlled or wearing an infected mask, you would not be held responsible for your actions.
184) No, it was not Dume's idea, because Dume does not know of either the OOMN or the Pit.
195) It's possible. In most cases, the OOMN would probably take steps to make that person cast doubt on their senses.
206) Yes
217) Because it was made as a mask by the Great Beings.
228) Escape to what? It has a purpose in the universe, and it exists to fulfill that purpose. You are possibly ascribing more human emotions to it than it may actually have.
239) After
2410) Part of a team
2511) Same reason caterpillars become butterflies
2612) Who says he did not? All we know is he didn't go to Metru Nui, Mata Nui, or Voya Nui

#8977
1Hey Greg, got a few questions(again). 21. Since the universe gets flooded when Mata Nui dies, does that mean water-breathers can survive? 32. For how long can Vakama fly using his jet-pack? 1 hour? A day? 43.Let's say there's a Toa of Ice. Which depletes his elemental energy more quickly: Making ice, or freezing the moisture in the air to make ice?

51) Longer than air-breathers will, but since there will be no heat or light, either, they won't last long. Same way things that live at the bottom of our oceans would last long, but if the sun went out, they wouldn't last too long. 62) Probably not that long, since he is channeling power through it and it takes concentration and energy to do that 73) Making ice

8Hey Greg, some comments. 91. Since Metru Nui's twin suns are actually holes letting light in from Mata Nui, why would the light disappear? I thought only the domes were affected... 10And some more questions... 111. The Toa Nuva are going to Artakha sometime in BL8, right? So will Artakha offer Tahu Nuva some replacement Kanohi Nuva? 12Something unrelated.... 131. Since you play WoW, have you ever seen the Leeroy Jenkins movie? If so, what are your thoughts?

141) Remember the double eclipse from B2? 152) They are going to Artakha end of 2007 161) No, I haven't

#8978
1Hello Greg: Just some questions about one the toa Mahri's masks, Kongu's that is.
21. The Kanohi Zatth is the Mask of Summoning, It has the ability to summon Rahi to the user and the user has no control over what will be summoned. SO does that mean that the User cannot control/infulence the Rahi summoned?
32. If I say that Kongu uses the mask, that is how Gadunka can be introduced into the story?
43. Can be a Zatth be paired with a Faxon, Mask of Kindred, to get the best results? If so does that mean that Hahli and Kongu may travel together?

51) Yes 62) No. Gadunka is a tiny Rahi who takes refuge under the Mask of Life and is evolved due to power leaking from the mask. That is how he enters the story. 73) Not really. Hahli's mask lets her take on the powers of sea creatures, she doesn't have to be in the presence of those creatures to do so.

#8979
12) No. Gadunka is a tiny Rahi who takes refuge under the Mask of Life and is evolved due to power leaking from the mask. That is how he enters the story.

2Well, that's interesting.
#8980
1A lot of stuff from Greg...
2I finally got Legends 1 and bionicle world:: :happydance: 3Ok, now for some questions... 41) Will we ever see Artakha as a set? 52) When Tuyet was banished to the Pit, isn't it impossible that she helped Hydraxon? It said that Botar banished those that were beyond redemption to the Pit, so that means she couldn't have redeemed herself helping him; or is her helping him not be enough to be considered redemption? 63) In BL1, it says that Jaller is the captain of the Ta-Metru guard. I thought that they went back to doing their old jobs that they had done before they left Metru-Nui, especially because he was holding a carving tool when he went to see the turaga. So what do they do, are they guards, mask makers, or both? 74) Why does Velika talk in riddles? 85) What does Velika mean when he says "Of what use is the roof against the rains if there are no walls to stem the flood?"
9Well I think thats all the questions I can think of...now to go read bionicle world. :wakeup2:
101) No idea. 112) Even if she had redeemed herself by helping Hydraxon, she died doing it, so it is not like Botar could have released her for doing it. 123) Both. Just as in colonial America, you might be a blacksmith and a captain in the local militia in times of trouble. 134) Cause it works for him. 145) Basically, he means there is no point in focusing so much on protecting yourself from attack/trouble from one direction if you are ignoring all the other possibilities.

15And...
16Hey Greg, sorry about pming you twice in one day but i had some more questions and I'd forget them if I don't ask now.
171) Do most matoran from other islands look like metru nui matoran or does each island have their own type of matoran? 182) Will Vezon be mutated with the rest of the Piraka? I heard that they didn't want anything to do with him so I wasn't sure if he'd travel with them. 193a) Can Zaktan still use his protodites after he is mutated? 203b) If yes, can't he just reform them into his old body? 214) In bionicle world, it says "Those with an interest in the various wildlife of Mata NBui are instructed to read the tablets prepared by the Rahaga and collected as Rahi Beasts in the Order's library." Does this mean that the Rahaga are in/know about the Order? 225) Will BIONICLE end when Mata Nui is woken up or will there be more Toa that need to do stuff after it is done? 236) Will the Toa Nuva become Turaga when Mata Nui is awoken? Will they have to awake him in the same way that the Toa Metru awoke the Matoran? 247) Can Artahka or Karzahni die of old age?
25Whew...ok that's all for today.

261) Since we have not met many Matoran from other islands, it's hard to say. How they look would largely be determined by the set designers if we did them as sets. 272) No, because Vezon did not get exposed to the water like they did. 283) Yes 293b) No, because there aren't enough left after the mutation 304) No, it means the Rahaga wrote a book and the Order made a copy. 315) There are no plans to end BIONICLE. If and when Mata Nui awakens, we already have rough story planned past that point. 326) I can't discuss future storyline 337) Since they have organic parts, yes

#8981
that guy

13b) If yes, can't he just reform them into his old body?

23b) No, because there aren't enough left after the mutation

3I found that to be quite interesting.
#8982
1Maybe he shrank after mutation and some protodites died?
23b) If yes, can't he just reform them into his old body?
3QUOTE
43b) No, because there aren't enough left after the mutation

5I found that to be quite interesting.

#8983
1it means that he is now made out of bigger parts like lower legs and upper legs, connected by a layer of protodites i think. 2so basically torso, head, legs, limbs, etc
3ok some info for every1 not up to date with the universe ending thing

41) As far as your first question, it's pretty simple, really -- look at Metru Nui and Mata Nui. Think of a dome like an egg. Mata Nui is on the top of the shell, sticking out of the water. Metru Nui is like the yolk, inside. The egg is floating in water, which is the ocean around Mata Nui. Crack the shell, and the water will leak into the egg. All the domes are like that, just most don't jut out above the water.
52) The domes will flood, and eventually, by the end of three days, all heat and light will be gone and everything will die

#8984
1Even more stuff...I wonder if Greg gets annoyed from me asking so many questions. :???:
2Hey Greg, I've got two questions for you. 31) I've been hearing rumors that the cordak blasters are going to blow up the cord and Mahri Nui will float up and reconnect to Voya Nui, can you confirm this? 42) Something confused me about the Mahri Nui matoran. It said somewhere (possible bionicle world or BS01) that the mutagen in the water undid Karzahni's tampering, but they also live in solidified air bubbles. If the mutagen affected them, how can they survive in air?
5Thanks in advance

61) I can confirm it is inaccurate. The cord is not keeping Mahri Nui at the sea bottom -- it is keeping Voya Nui in place, the way an anchor chain keeps a boat in place.
72) Because it undid Karzahni's work before it started to convert them to water-breathers, and they got into air bubbles before the lungs to gills thing happened. So they cannot breathe water, only air.

#8985
1A couple questions relating to BL7... so if you haven't picked up the book yet, do not click on the spoiler.
2Hi, GregF. Around June 9, I PMed you several questions related to BL7, but never got a reply (if it's because you were too busy, I'm okay with that). I thought that, in case for some reason you never received the PM, I should try to re-PM you the questions.
3Message Forwarded From PeabodySam
4Yesterday, I bought and read BL7, and I must say, it was a great book: However, it has me with some questions... (don't worry, I won't post them in the OGD)
51. Exactly what was the curse that the MoLi gave Pridak? 62. Exactly how did Dekar become "Hydraxon?" 72b. Does "Hydraxon" share Dekar's curse that the MoLi gave him (unable to harm any living thing)? 83. If the Toa Mahri are unable to breathe air, then how come they have lungs and not gills? 94. Why didn't Nuparu die when he got hit by a Solified Air Bubble? 105. Are the Toa Mahri's masks organic? 115b. If not, then how come they're not having any trouble using them, as the organic masks gave them lots of help in using them? 126. Can the MoLi, like in a sense the Vahi, still function even with tons of cracks in it? 137. Can you explain to me why Makuta/Maxilos blasted Matoro with Sonic, Chain Lightning, and Shattering powers? 148. If Nocturn's curse was that he instantly killed everything he touched, why didn't "Hydraxon" die during the fight between the two of them? 159. The Sea Squids lay eggs like creatures in this world, right? 1610. I recall seeing the word "blood" in several parts of the book (i.e. one of the Barraki says that Carapar likes eating blood snails). I thought BIONICLE characters didn't have blood. Do they? 1711. Which pronoun would better describe the Bahrag twins - "she" or "it"?
18Thanks in advance:

191) Made him more of what he already was -- more insane, more vicious, more full of rage -- essentially, a glut of life 202) Ignika transformed him 212a) No. A Mask of Life curse is lifted once you no longer have possession of it. 223) They do have gills. The tubes on their masks function as gills. 234) Air is not instantly lethal in any amount, Nuparu was obviously not exposed to it for long enough. 245) No 255a) Once you know how to mentally trigger a mask power, you can mentally trigger any mask power. 266) Yes 277) To teach Matoro a lesson in power. Remember, Makuta have all those powers and many more. 288) If you go back and read the battle again, Nocturn gets hit with a blade and drops the mask. Once you no longer physically possess the mask, the curse is lifted. 299) They hatch from eggs, yes 3010) Bio-mechanical beings do not, that's correct. But much of the sea life in the Pit is not bio-mechanical, it's fully organic. 3111) She

323) What I meant was that, numerous times in the book, it was saying that the Toa Mahri had lungs (i.e. page 25, when Nuparu gets shot by a Solified Air Bubble "He choked as the air entered his lungs"). And yet, they cannot breathe air and you say that they have gills. Why is that?

33Cause they have both. Remember, we are not dealing with Earth beings here -- they don't have to follow the same rules that Earth biology does. In this case, what is being extracted from the water is going into the lungs as opposed to going directly into a bloodstream, since Toa do not have a bloodstream.

34My comments
351. Ah, doesn't seem much of a curse... 362. Hmm... interesting... 372b. Didn't know that fact. 383. Cool, the Toa Mahri have both lungs and gills: Unfortunately, that doesn't mean they're amphibias... drat. 394. Oh, okay. 405. Organic to inorganic... how does that happen, I wonder...? 415b. Alright. 426. Oh, good, otherwise the Toa Mahri are doomed... 437. Seems like an odd way to teach a lesson of power. 448. Same as 2b. 459. Cool, so for once Earth physics apply to Bionicle creatures: 4610. Same as 9. 4711. So they aren't called the 'Bohrak Queens' for nothing...

1
ok some info for every1 not up to date with the universe ending thing
2QUOTE
31) As far as your first question, it's pretty simple, really -- look at Metru Nui and Mata Nui.
42) The domes will flood, and eventually, by the end of three days, all heat and light will be gone and everything will die

5Where are the questions?
#8987
1I asked these questions a while ago, but I had to wait until today to post them. Anyway, here they are:
21. How did Lesovikk's Turaga go mad?
32. In a later chapter of BL7, Nuparu and Hewkii were grabbed by two huge claws and electrocuted by them. Who was this? Was it Gadunka?
43. How did the MoLi Change Dekar into Hydraxon? I thought you said it could only make new beings or evolve others, and could't affect those who were already dead, and Dekar was pretty much dead when it happened.
54. Why did the other Toa Mahri just let Matoro bring Maxilos and Spinax along without doing anything?
65. Who put the scroll with the lists of things for the Toa Nuva to do in the Great Temple?
76. Does Gadunka think the MoLi is his because he tried to use it as shelter?
87. In the book, Hydraxon mentally triggered one of his back blades. Is this a power he has, or is the power in the weapons?

91) Hasn't been revealed 102) No, it was Ehlek. Gadunka has no electrical powers 113) Dekar wasn't dead. Dekar was running out of air, he was nowhere near dead. And you would be amazed what the Mask of Life can do with random protodermis molecules. 124) What would you suggest they do? Were they in a position to chase away potential allies? Did they have time to get into long discussions? 135) Great Beings 146) Yes 157) His power

16Comments:
171. I wonder when we will find out
183. Well, I am amazed
194. Hmmm, I forgot they were running out of time
205. Awesome:
216. Well, now we know why

#8988
1#5 is extremely interesting... So, Great Beings HAVE walked upon Metru Nui. Very intriguing.
#8989
1Okay, I sent these questions to GregF a long time ago, and they were all pretty... Well, I'll just say the last one is the only one worth knowing.
2Okay, a couple questions that I wanted to know;
31. Does Makuta know Krazzahni (If thats how you spell it) personally?
42. Is Mantax looking for a mask?
53. Will the Barraki fight Makuta?
64. Will the Toa be mutated by the water around Mahari Nui?
7And 1 random question;
8Do bionicles eat? (do not answer if it doesnt matter)
9Thank you

101) No. Prior to the events of BIONICLE Legends #2, Karzahni did not even know Mata Nui or Makuta existed. 112) No 123) Follow the story and find out 134) No 145) Yes, but not like you and I eat. They absorb energy by making physical contact with certain things, they don't have to chew and swallow, etc.
15My comments:
161) Shoulda known.
172)THEN I saw the article on the wiki:
183)'Cause in BL7, he seemed reluctant and not wanting to get into an argument.
194) Just checking
205) Awesome:
21Like I said, this was a couple months ago.
22Thanks, GregF
#8990
1Just something I asked that he's probably been asked millions of times...
2Hey Greg, my brother had a question and I wanted to ask you about it. Is there such thing as a Toa of lightning?
3Hope I don't annoy you by asking so many questions. Thanks in advance.

4While I think Electricity would be a good Toa element, until a Toa with that power actually shows up in the story, it is not an official Toa element.

#8991
1Here's some questions/answers:
2Hey Greg, just some quick questions:
31. Is it possible the Toa Mata are something other than Toa, but they think(and appear to be) they are just Toa?
42. Is it possible that in the time before they appeared in 2001, there were other members of their team...like a Toa of Lightning, Plasma, Sonics, or whatever?
53. Why did they not form a kaita, for instance, when they were fighting the Piraka? Wouldn't it have helped?
64. Is there any chance we will find out something about the Toa Mata's history in 2008?
75. Why is it that their armor and weapons are so simple? In fact, why is their whole construction so simple, in relation to other Toa?
86. Could you give any details about the World that Feeds the World? Just whatever you're allowed to say about it. Is it actually a world, or is it some kind of small dimension, or what?

91) No. 102) No. There have been Toa of Plasma and Toa of Sonics in the universe, but they were not part of Tahu's team. 113) Basically, because there is no point in having sets combine in the story if we don't have a combo model we are trying to push --- and 2, they had to lose the fight because I had to get them out of the story for the year since they could not appear in the comics in 2006. 124) I can't discuss future storyline 135) Because they were the first sets designed for BIONICLE. 146) Nope

15Okay, thanks Greg. :)There are just a few other questions I'd like to ask-I was kind of in a rush when I typed that PM at first, so I didn't get the chance to ask everything:
161. About how many Toa would you say are still around? I remember seeing somewhere that you said there are only about 70 left.
172. Who put the Toa Mata's masks around Mata Nui? Did the Turaga hide them, like as a test for the Toa?
183. Did anything significant happen on Mata Nui during the time when the Turaga and Matoran were on Mata Nui, before the Toa Mata? And when did the Rahi attacks start occuring?
194. I really liked the short story you wrote, "The Many Deaths of Toa Tuyet." Would Nidhiki have used the Nui Stone for evil also, and did Lhikan know it, if so?
205. Is it possible you will write any other stories like that here?
216. When the LEGO Magazine was doing, "The Great Redini," were you him? I remember reading back in like, 2003 that you were.
227. Did the Mata's canisters actually fall out of the sky into the ocean, or did they just appear there suddenly?
238. Does every Toa who ever lived try to collect some masks just to help himself/herself out? Or was it just the Mata who collected masks like that?
24Once again, thanks. :)

251) About 50 262) Yes 273) The Rahi attacks started occurring about a year after the Matoran arrived. I believe BZP had a contest about stories of things that took place during that period, but I haven't written any myself. 284) I think Nidhiki was pretty shady, so I wouldn't have trusted him with it. 295) Depends on what kind of spare time I have. 306) Yes 317) No, they were shot up from one of the domes into the sky, and then fall back down into the ocean. 328) Most didn't need to actively collect them, because they were simply available where they were.

33One thing I found very, VERY interesting is how Greg said that the Toa Mata were shot up from one of the domes into the sky, and then fell into the ocean. I find it quite interesting indeed, did you guys know this before?
34I had always heard they fell out of the sky.
#8992
1It said something about them being shot up from land in BL1.
#8993
12a) No. A Mask of Life curse is lifted once you no longer have possession of it.

2That's quite interesting. I read on Biosector (it's my only source of bionicle info, except of BZPower because they don't sell the books in my country) That one of the Great Beings have been cursed, and separated from the world because he has gone mad. But he is not in possession of the mask anymore...
#8994
1A mad Great Being is a very dangerous thing indeed. That's probably why he's locked away
#8995
1Yet another one...
2In Bionicle comic #24: reign of darkness, it shows roodaka climbing the mountain with another Vortixx. The other Vortixx is green, but in bionicle world it says that all Vortixx are black. So is it possible to have green Vortixx, or are they black?

3He's green so that younger readers could differentiate him from Roodaka in the illo.

Toa of Protodermis

12a) No. A Mask of Life curse is lifted once you no longer have possession of it.

3The curse drove him permanently mad, so even when it was lifted he still had to be locked away.
#8997
Munkiman- Toa of Chocolate Milk

Toa of Protodermis

12a) No. A Mask of Life curse is lifted once you no longer have possession of it.

4Incorrect. The curse was still upon him:
5Hey Greg, something confused me...
6How could Pridak or the Great Being who could hear innanimate objects thoughts or Nocturn retain their curse when they lost possesion of the mask?
7Pridak, I presume is still "insane," 8The Great Being was locked up for going insane, even after he lost the mask, 9Nocturn dropped the mask to go test his curse when Gadunka crawled under it.
10And you recently stated that a MoLi curse is lifted once there is no more physical contact between the "cursee" and the MoLi. So how could these facts intertwine?
11Toa Piraka

121) But Pridak was always insane -- the mask just made it worse. 132) The Great Being is an exception, since that was the first curse ever levied by the mask and it did it a little too "hard" 143) I need to go back and read the Nocturn scene, since when he fights Hydraxon, he is obviously not carrying the curse.

15So apparently there may be a storyline-flux... with the Nocturn thing...
16Toa Piraka
#8998
1Doesn't seem to be a flux to me 2The way I see it: 3Noctorn gets cursed so that whatever he touches dies 4He is slightly pleased by this new ability, so goes off to test it, dropping the Mask because he doesn't realise that's whats giving him the ability 5Curse is lifted, so he doesn't instantly kill Hydraxon

The Power that Is

1Doesn't seem to be a flux to me 2The way I see it: 3Noctorn gets cursed so that whatever he touches dies 4He is slightly pleased by this new ability, so goes off to test it, dropping the Mask because he doesn't realise that's whats giving him the ability 5Curse is lifted, so he doesn't instantly kill Hydraxon

6Yes but he kills other creatures before fighting Hydraxon, which by that time he picks the mask up again, but between when he drops it and when he fights, he kills little creatures without the mask in his possesion.
7Toa Piraka
8EDIT: I have a quote...
9Frustrated, he [Nocturn tossed the mask aside. It landed in the center of Razor Whale's teeth and settled into the soft sand. Nocturn reached out to grab a passing mudfish, looking forward to the sound it made when crushed. To his disappointment, the second he touched it, the fish died.

10See? He dropped it and THEN killed a little fish. Then it goes on to explain that he picks it up again... but when he fights Hydraxon, the curse is obviously not upon him.

1Guys, fuy thing, i asked Greg aout the Nocturn curse thing before even reading your discussion here.
2Hi Greg, it's me atlas. I just got BL7 a few days ago, and i must say it's great. I just have a few questions, mostly about it.
31. Wouldn't "Hydraxon" be a vezon since he really is just a double?
42. Are Ehlek's Tri-Talons flexible because in BL7 when it said:
5QUOTE 6He (Nuparu) didn't see the huge metallic claw until it was too late. The instant after he was seized in its grip, a powerful electric shock jolted him into unconsciousness.
7it made them sound flexible.
83. Also, after Ehlek dumped the Toa in the trench, it said he forgot about them. Did it mean he just didn't care about them anymore or did he literally forget them?
94. Just curious, are you in the middle/starting/ending any book right now. 104b. If yes, which book?
115. Can the Zatth be used on land?
126. Could you be so kind as to maybe tell me someone Gadunka fights please?
137. It has been stated that you're only cursed by the MoLi if you touch it and that it's effects are lifted if you don't hold it. In BL7, however, it says Nocturn tossed the MoLi in the sand, but its curse (death touch) was still with Nocturn. Why is this?
148. There seems to be some discussion in the Official Hydraxon Topic about if the MoLi changing Dekar into Hydraxon is a curse or not. I personally don't belive it is but just to clear it up, is it?
15That's all for now thanks in advance. atlas

161) You could call him a double, I sort of see him as a recreation myself 172) Yes, they are 183) He figured they were toast, so he stopped caring about them 194) I am halfway through Book 9 205) Yes 216) Gadunka fights Hewkii 227) Just a mistake on my part 238) I don't see it as a curse, no. Dekar's curse when he held the mask was the inability to kill anything. Ignika isn't going to curse him twice. The mask basically saved his life by transforming him, because his air bubble was about to give out.

24I put it in a spoiler tag though cause most of them are spoilers anyway.
