12a) No. A Mask of Life curse is lifted once you no longer have possession of it.
2That's quite interesting. I read on Biosector (it's my only source of bionicle info, except of BZPower because they don't sell the books in my country) That one of the Great Beings have been cursed, and separated from the world because he has gone mad. But he is not in possession of the mask anymore...
3The curse drove him permanently mad, so even when it was lifted he still had to be locked away.
4Incorrect. The curse was still upon him:
5Hey Greg, something confused me...
6How could Pridak or the Great Being who could hear innanimate objects thoughts or Nocturn retain their curse when they lost possesion of the mask?
7Pridak, I presume is still "insane," 8The Great Being was locked up for going insane, even after he lost the mask, 9Nocturn dropped the mask to go test his curse when Gadunka crawled under it.
10And you recently stated that a MoLi curse is lifted once there is no more physical contact between the "cursee" and the MoLi. So how could these facts intertwine?
11Toa Piraka
121) But Pridak was always insane -- the mask just made it worse. 132) The Great Being is an exception, since that was the first curse ever levied by the mask and it did it a little too "hard" 143) I need to go back and read the Nocturn scene, since when he fights Hydraxon, he is obviously not carrying the curse.
15So apparently there may be a storyline-flux... with the Nocturn thing...
16Toa Piraka
17So i've got an answer for my question even without sending a pm to Greg. Still it's quite interesting
1Hi Greg, something I have been wondering about:
2At the end of BL7, the barraki are at war with one another. Sharks and Eels are killing each other, Keras and Squid are gone, and Rays are attacking and killing anything that moves. Two things: Were is Takadox and his army in all of this? Plus, why are Kalmah and Carapar gone in all of the action?
3Thanks in advance:
4Takadox is hanging back to pick up the pieces, and the other two aren't showing up because I simply didn't have room to deal with what each Barraki was doing.
5Takadox is smart smart smart, just waiting for the others to destroy each other... This is really starting to heat up: All of the Barraki hate each other. (Exept Kalmah and Carapar, cause' of their allience)
1could a matoran become a toa through EP?
2other questions: is axxon an oneofakind species, or are there more of his kind? 3same for brutaka.
4could there be more toa of light, but not with the MoL but with a different mask?
5on a scale of 1-10, the nuva score 10. how high score: 6the toa mata 7the toa metru 8the toa inika 9lhikan's team 10jovan's team 11hordika 12mahri
13some personal questions, wich id like you to answer from your personal side, not professional.
14how do you think the toa nuva will look? will they look anything like their old selfs? 15will any colors be changed? how would you like to see the new nuva?
16enough questions for now..
17make sure you dont fall asleep while reading . 18regards,
19Frostellus
201) No. 212) There are more of their kind, yes 223) Unknown at this time 234) Outside of the Nuva, all Toa are at roughly the same power level. The Hordika were physically a little more powerful but could not access mask powers. 245) No idea, I am not a set designer.
25ive deleted some of my questions and gregs answers. they regarded the red star and toa stuff, but we knew it already. 26#2 is interesting. there are more axonn and brutaka guys
1
2Hi greg: 3Just a few questions. 41) You said that some barraki have a sense of honor about them. If death was coming, and there was no way out, would they "die with honor"? 52)Do we get to see any arthron usage? 63)Is mata nui biomechanical? 74)Would it be safe to asume that the great beings are linked to the red star in some way? 85)You have said that the Ignika is, in and of its self, incapable of reviving the dead. Would it be able to if one or more beings purposefully poured their lifr force into it while using it? 96)Is Spinax mutated?
10Thank you in advance:
111) Some would, yes 122) In the books, yes 133) I can't answer this 144) No 155) I am not sure I know how that could be done 166) Yes, hence his ability to breathe water
10Thank you in advance:

1If you don;t know what your talking about pleas, 2don't say nothing at all. 3Sets are cannon, 4Bionicle starts with the sets
5Hate to burst your bubble, but Aravagantos is right, movie versions are more canon, with a few execptions, because the Toa, Matoran, everyone, if they were real, would be more organic less plastic-toylike than the sets are. Sets can't include organic parts. Sets can't stop up the holes in the arms and legs and bodys that are made for connecting rods. Believe it or not, these people really have hands instead of a ball-and-socket stubs.
6EDIT: Edited 4 speilin.
7Greg has confirmed in this topic that sets come first.
8Yes, but he meant that sets come before story. He's said multiple times that movie forms would be closer to what they'd look like in real life. They are biomechanical creatures, and thus the forms with the "bio" part of that are more canon.
9Oh i thought he/she meant the little features like the rahaga's helicopters or roodaka's catcher claw.
10i'm guessing weapon-wise,perhaps?
11
1I'll just PM him about it.
1Got some questions for you. 21a) In the books, I've seen the Bionicle world referred to as the universe. That refers solely to the terrestrial Bionicle locations as one large area, correct? But since there are other stars and presumably other celestial bodies, would that also be referred to as the universe, or something else simple like "the sky"? 31b) Are there plans for, or do you see the storyline ever dealing with the actual universe, like another planet? 41c) Currently, is there any kind of technology capable of space travel, or do you consider that a possibility? If not a possibility, then would that simply be because nobody has any interest in it? 51d) Could the Bionicle planet actually be considered a planet, or is it something significantly different from our concept of a planet? 61e) Is the entire Bionicle world populated and connected (aware of all other places in some form), populated and disconnected, or is only one specific area populated?
72a) Before asking this question, I feel the need to use an analogy to make myself as clear as possible. Say a hollowed-out pumpkin represents the Metru Nui cavern, and is half full with water. A tea candle floating in the middle represents Metru Nui. The pumpkin lid, carved out so it can be removed, represents Mata Nui. If that analogy works, is it theoretically possible for the island of Mata Nui to be moved/destroyed/removed so that the seawater would flood the Metru Nui cavern? 82b) If the pumpkin were placed in a bathtub so only the lid protrudes above water and the base is firmly anchored to the bathtub bottom, would that describe the current state of the Metru Nui cavern? If not, could you describe what it really is like? 92c) What is the most extreme form of weather the Metru cavern could experience? Is there a cavern that can experience any kind of land-based or sea-based weather?
101) To the Matoran, the universe is the world inside their domes. So there are no celestial bodies in it, they are inside artificial structures. They don't regard the sky outside of the domes -- the one over Mata Nui -- to be part of their universe.
111b) I know there are no plans to introduce space travel, for what that's worth.
121c) No, the characters in this universe do not have that capability. And I would shy away from it, as we already have Mars Mission and Star Wars lines.
131d) I consider it a planet.
141e) Depends on what you mean by "world." If you mean the planet as a whole, we don't know that there even are any landmasses besides Mata Nui and Voya Nui and Mahri Nui. If you are talking about the domes, they are all populated and connected.
152) Sure. You would need to blow a hole in Mata Nui below the water line, that's all.
162b) That's accurate.
172c) Yes. If you have a large enough space on our world, say a mammoth indoor stadium, it actually is capable of experiencing weather. So I am sure the same applies there.
18Thought I'd pop this in here.
1You may want to add that one of the upcoming features on BIONICLEstory.com will be a Gali Nuva blog that will cover the Nuva's story for this year.
2While asking Greg for confirmation about some BL7 bits and the Toa Nuva's mission regarding Mata Nui's awakening, Greg gave me this. Well, I couldn't add it to the Mata Nui's Status Topic by making a logical connection, so I decided to post it here.
3Gali's gonna be a blogger:

12This is what Greg says: 13Movies and books, sets, and comics are different artistic interpretations of the same characters. In the case of the books, they generally mirror the movies because movie novelizations are included in them -- so you can't have the Toa having hands in one book, and none in the others.
14I don't regard movies as "more canon" than anything else, simply because what the Toa would look like in real life isn't really relevant -- we're not dealing with real life. In cases where, for example, the Rahaga have helicopters and the sets don't, the sets take precedence. 15Hope that solves everything.
1Some questions and answers from greg, some really interessting, I will put it in spoilers because it 2has some Bionicle Legends 7 content so beware, spoilers contained. 3(are they already allowed with no spoiler tags?)
161) He pretty much just lived his life, occasionally fighting Visorak 172) Well, Makuta certainly thinks so -- after all, he is doing things like raising the dead, which even Makuta doesn't do 183) Both will be on BIONICLEstory.com in a matter of a week or two, probably, along with a podcast I am doing for the site as well 194) I never had time to do them. 205) Nothing, at this point. (days, weeks, years?). 129: Was the army of the Visorak that Sidorak commanded the entire army of Visorak of the BoM, or were there more legions and Kings of the horde? 1310: Do the female BoM also joined the Makuta of Metru Nui in his grand scheme? 1411: Are the Bahrag still angry at the Toa Nuva? Or do they understand know why the Toa Nuva imprisinod them? 1512: What are the Toa Nuva supposed to steal?

2Yes, they're allowed now.
3I would still use the tag now, plenty of people still haven't read it.
1New information, I guess?
2Hi...Few questions to answer, if you can...Much appreciated if you can answer... 1. Does the Brotherhood of Makuta know about the Universe Core? 32. If so, is the Universe Core powering up a Kanohi Olmak so that it can transport a whole island through dimensions? Because in the Atlas, you stated that a powerful Kanohi Olmak is doing that, and so I thought perhaps the Universe Core can do that, since you once stated that it can power up masks...
41) They do now, yes 52) No. They only recently found out about this location, so they have not been using it for their purposes
13: When will The Karzahni story and the Toa Nuva/Karzahni story be online? 23) Both will be on BIONICLEstory.com in a matter of a week or two, probably, along with a podcast I am doing for the site as well3Wow, that soon? Great:

8Thanks I wonder what the P.C. will be... I'll ask.
1Ok, this is probably already known but here's some info I got from GregF:
2His air bubble was about to expire anyway. And Hydraxon breathes water, because the mask created him that way.
3Ok. Just wondering, did Hydraxon (who was killed by Takadox) breath throught the air tubes on him or did he also breath water? Also, are the tubes on Hydraxon and the Mahri air tubes like ones divers use, or are they somehting else?
4Hydraxon breathed air prior to his death. And the tubes act as gills.
5So they take the air in the water and filter it through themselves (the tubes)?
6Yup
7Ok, cool. So the along with Hydraxon, the Mahri are also amphibious, correct? Any other characters this year that are like that?
8No, the Toa Mahri can only breathe water. Nocturn is amphibious, and Maxilos, being a robot, has no need to breathe.

1Just some minor things about the Toa Nuva's new mission:
21) The new tasks for the Toa Nuva written on that roll. Are those something like the twelve labours of Hercules? 31) I wouldn't say that, no. We don't know that there are 12, and Hercules did his to atone for a wrong. It's a "to-do" list, basically.
42) It was Onua who gave the signal to release to Bohrok swarms once again. Has every Toa Nuva one task to fullfil (like only Onua could release the Bohrok, only Lewa can do the next task,....)? 52) Nope
63) Were the Toa Nuva spotted near Odina before or after they came to Metru Nui? 73) After
84) The Toa Nuva did not exchange words with Takanuva while their stay at Metru Nui right? 94) No 10(Double negation means "yes"???)
115) In the chapter containing the Zyglak fight, the battle revealed some things about the Toa themselves which they would not have preferred to face. Is this related to the information you already released about the Zyglak (their origin as a Matoran sister-race) or will those things be revealed here at BZP with the Invasion storyline? 125) It was part of Invasion 13Good to know. Invasion please come soon

8Thanks I wonder what the P.C. will be... I'll ask.
9He said "find out when it starts."
1Hi, I have a few questions regarding random stuff:
21. Since Maxilos cannot breathe at all [and Makuta is posessing it, could Makuta travel into the Old Pit and teleport [one of the Rahkshi powers to, say, Metru Nui?
32. Was Gali's mind link a general Toa power, or something only she had?
43. Another Gali question- Why did Nokama only feel the same connection to nature as a Hordika that Gali felt since she came to Mata Nui?
54. Would Glass as an element be possible, or is it to narrow/already available to A Toa/too broad?
65. The Southern Continent is the southernmost point on the Bionicle planet, right? Because the Pit is to the south of all islands [Atlas, but Voya Nui floated north. Is this right?
71) Interesting question. Since it's not his body, can he teleport it, or would he only be teleporting his energy? 82) It was something given to her for the purposes of the online game 93) Probably for the same reason that someone who lives in the country feels a stronger connection than someone who grew up in a city. Nokama's whole life was in the confines of a big city. 104) I can't see a Toa of Glass being all that interesting as a hero. Plus a Toa of Fire can already make it provided he has some sand nearby 115) No. There are unknown lands south of the continent. Also, keep in mind, we are not talking about the actual planet -- we are talking about the Matoran universe inside the domes

1Hello Greg
2Please excuse my bad english, I'm french.
3So, I have a few questions .
41. Did the Vahki fight Dark Hunters during Metru Nui/DH war? 52. If so, did they killed some DH? 63. Did the DH suffered high losses during the war? I wonder why TSO stopped the war if not. 74. Were Visorak hordes very quickly reformed? Ready for the first battles in the DH/BoM war? 85. What is the most dangerous job: DH or Toa? 96. Antidermis makes Brutaka stronger but meaner. Is it a metaphor of cocaine? 107. Makuta was deafeted. He lost his body. Did you think about Voldemort when you write it? 118. There are many ways the Toa Nuva could evolve to new forms (as they have to change form for new sets). Can you say it some of the following hypotheses are definitively impossible? 12a. The Bahrag allow them to go in the substance that turned 6 Bohrok into Bohrok-Kal 13b. They find powerful weapons/armors in Karzhani 14c. They are rebuilt in Arthaka 15As electricity is the best weapon against Carapar, was there a Toa of electricity in the army that defeated the League of six kingdoms?
16Thank you for all.
171) Probably 182) Vahki were not programmed for lethal force at that time 193) TSO stopped the war because his entire army had been captured by 300 Toa. 204) No, it took a while to reform the horde 215) Toa 226) No, it's not. 237) No, I don't read the Potter books 248) Sorry, none are correct. 259) We have never established that Electricity is a Toa element
262) DH are too lucky. 273) Whoah: 285) It's always the good guys who have problems. 296) Bad guess. 307) Very funny. I personnaly wonder if Voldemort "died" in a calculated plan like Makuta. 318) I was afraid he refuses to answer. So we can hope something more surprising. 329) Not decided at that time, I guess.
33Thank you one more time, Greg:
1Well Greg, I've thought up some more questions. These are in relation to Titan sets from the various years.
21. Was Makuta at all weakened by the destruction of his armor? 31b. If so, has possessing Maxilos restored that power?
42. Did Maxilos' power get added to Makuta's, or did Makuta's replace it?
53. Is Karzahni weaker or stronger than Axonn or Brutaka?
64. How powerful was Maxilos before Makuta took control of his body?
75. Will Sentrakh's squad of Dark Hunters ever make a big appearance?
86. Does Axonn know what has to be done to Voya Nui and Mahri Nui in order to restore the universe to proper order?
97. Are there any Bionicle villains who know about the Mask of Life and don't want it because they know how powerful its curse is?
108. Does Karzahni have what it takes to last longer in a battle against Makuta than Keetongu did?
119. In response to one of my previous questions, are<i>you</i> going to fill in the blank as to how Turaga Dume was awakened from the sleep imposed on him by Makuta?
121) He was in the sense that he can no longer shapeshift, and being in Maxilos has not changed that 132) No, Makuta has access to it, since it's all mechanical base 143) Physically? Spiritually? Mentally? How? 154) Powerful enough to do his job 165) No idea, depends on if I have room. With fewer books per year, I have less room for non-current set characters 176) Yes 187) No idea 198) Yes 209) Sure --- his pod malfunctioned, so he woke up early.
1For the Bionicle Fan Club in Georgia, Greg talked with us. He something very shocking to all 9 of us. I can't tell you what it is because, it will build up suspense.
1For the Bionicle Fan Club in Georgia, Greg talked with us. He something very shocking to all 9 of us. I can't tell you what it is because, it will build up suspense.
2Then don't post stuff like this. If you can't say something, don't even say you know something. It is NOT appreciated in the least. Not only is is annoying, but it makes you look selfish and arrogant.
3----
4Toa of Kenn: You're thinking into it too much. There is no double negation intended there. Greg meant "No, they did not."
1And who cares if it will build up suspense? That's what we want.
1Here is a short discussion we had on twelve issues... some of it is already known, but there was some stuff I hadn't heard before.
21. There seems to be a difference between the Ignika's "curse" and just its transformations. For instance, Kyrehx was cursed, while the Inika and Gadunka were only transformed. So, are there separate rules for how long the effects last? Specifically, how long do the curses last? 31) Ah, but remember -- Gadunka never touched the mask, and the only one of the Inika who did was Matoro, who was destined to do so. You get cursed for touching it when you are not supposed to. And the curses last as long as you are in possession of it. 41. So then it works like this: curse is caused by un-destined touching, but only lasts until possession of mask is lost. Transformations are caused by either the mask's intentions or by accidentally absorbing its leaking energy, and are basically permanent. If that's true, shouldn't we be able to learn which of Vezon's powers were part of his curse and which weren't, based on which ones he retains now? 51) Yes. He doesn't retain any now. His ability to see into the future came from the mask, and his ability to absorb kinetic energy came from the mask, as did his fusion to Fenrakk. With the mask gone, so are the powers.
62. As a related point, can the Ignika do its transformations from long-distance and without any visible signs? This is suggested by Dekar's transformation. 72. This sets the Ignika's mode of transformation significantly apart from EP, Visorak Venom, etc.--because those are obvious when they are happening. 82) Yes
93. I read that a lack of work on Metru Nui only made Mata Nui unable to be reawakened, but did not cause his coma or dying. Why then was Jovan's mission necessary, if the Disruption took place long before Makuta's attack on Mata Nui? 103) It is true that that will not cause a coma in and of itself, but it obviously weakens Mata Nui. 113. Might this suggest that the Great Beings were only expecting Jovan's situation, and not Jaller and co.'s, when they created the Ignika? If so, it seems it might be necessary for the Inika to do something different with the mask than Jovan's team did. 123) No one could have predicted all that has gone on in this universe. The possibility of Mata Nui falling ill was anticipated, outright rebellion by the BOM and its attendant problems, mutagenic water, etc., were not. 133. Your mention of mutagenic water made me remember to ask--is there significance to the mutagenic water's backstory? Or is it no more important than, say, the difference in breeds of Gukko birds found on Mata Nui? 143) Yes, there is -- it is tied in to the Great Cataclysm. 153. Cool: I really wasn't expecting that. Cool.
164. True or false: there is a difference between the Ignika's guardians and its chosen wearer/bearer. Only the latter can touch it without being cursed. Only one of the latter exists at a time, until he is killed using the mask. 174) I'd prefer not to go here just yet 184. Can you at the very least confirm that rules exist about this, even if you can't tell me what those rules are? 194) Rules exist about what? 204. Rules about the differences between the Ignika's guardians and its chosen wearer/bearer, the capabilities of each, and the number of the latter that exists at one time. 214) Well, the difference between the guardians and the destined bearer are that the DB can touch it without being cursed, the guardians cannot. Their destiny is to guard, not to carry or use. And there is no limit on how many guardians can exist, but there is only ever one destined bearer. 224. Ok, that's pretty much what I thought.
235. Can you confirm that the World-that-feeds-the-world is not the Red Star? 245) Yes, I can confirm that
256. Can you confirm that the World-that-feeds-the-world is next year's location? 266) No, I cannot discuss 2008 storyline
277. Can you confirm that the World-that-feeds-the-world is not part of the matoran universe? 287) No, that is not accurate
298. Why do some elemental masks give essentially the powers that the related Toa have (Garai), while others give powers outside of a Toa's abilities (Avohkii, Kraahkan)? Do both kinds still count as elemental masks? 308) Yes, they do both count as elemental masks, and how do you know they are granting powers their wearers don't already have to some extent? 318. Ok, so we say Takanuva has an innate power to turn enemies into friends. Makes sense (though it makes his mask somewhat useless to him). But if a Toa of Stone wearing the elemental Mask of Gravity gains gravity elemental powers, shouldn't for example a Toa of Fire wearing the elemental Mask of Light gain light elemental powers, not friend-making powers? Tahu's never worn the Avohkii, so this is hypothetically speaking of course. 328) And the Mask of Light does have some light elemental powers -- it banishes the darkness, after all -- so Tahu would get those powers as well. But he's going to get the other powers the mask has as well. 338. So we could say the rule is: elemental masks all contain their elemental power in levels not far behind Toa-strength. Then, the Avohkii and Kraahkan are extra-special and contain some more unusual abilities as well. 348) Mmmmm-hmmm
359. Why don't more Toa choose elemental masks if they make them double-element Toa? 369) Because there aren't that many in existence. 379. So Hewkii got very lucky. 389) Right. Remember, he didn't find that mask -- the Ignika transformed the one he was wearing and essentially created it. 399. I always liked Po-matoran best. So congrats to the Ignika.
4010. Can we assume that matoran of gravity are called Gar-matoran (since Ga-matoran is already taken)? 4110) No, you can't. I will name them if they came into the story, have not done so yet.
4211. Why did Brutaka gain water breathing before changing shape, while the Mahri matoran changed shape before gaining water breathing? My best explanation of this would have to do with the different depths at which they were immersed. 4311) Basically, this is how I see it -- the shape changing done to the Matoran was not a mutation as such, it was actually undoing a "mutation" that had already been done courtesy of Karzahni -- so sort of like stripping the wallpaper in a room before you paint it a new color. The waters undid what had been done before acting to do something else. In Brutaka's case, there was no need to do that, he had never been altered, so it went right to the first thing, changing him to a water breather. 4411. That means that, considering the subtle differences between 2004-model and 2007-model matoran, either: 45a. Matoran from the mainland look slightly different from Metru Nui matoran 46b. The mutagen only got part-way through un-transforming them before they escaped into air bubbles 47c. The differences between 2004-model and 2007-model matoran don't exist in the story, and are purely designers' artistic license 4811) I would opt for A. 4911. Which puts you in a position of being able to explain any future new matoran designs by saying they're also from other areas--smart move.
5012. How did Nocturn not kill Hydraxon (due to his curse) when he gripped him with his tentacles? Had he lost "possession" of the mask already by then (I may have to re-read that part)? 5112) Yes, he had. Remember, the first thing Hydraxon does is throw a nice into Nocturn's tentacle, causing him to drop the mask. 5212. I read up on this shortly after sending you the question. So the mistake there was earlier, when he killed the fish while not touching the mask... makes sense. Thanks for helping me with that one:

5Oh, sorry. I just don't want to say it because it will ruin everything to everyone. I guess. But he really did talk with us.

6So you bait us with spoilers? Come now, Ienu, surely you know that if there's anything a Bzpowerer can't stand, it's unknown infomation, you can't just tease us like that.
7EDIT: Sorry, still not quite used to this color thing.=/

6Dont believe you, unless you post it I think you're just seeking attention.
1Just post it in a spoiler tag. I'm sure some people would want to see it.
1But would Greg want us to see it? I doubt it.
2You'd doubt it why? Gregs not goining to give out info to some people and deny it to others, thats just plain foolish. If Greg really gave the info to that member like they claim then he would have no problem with them sharing it.
3He might think that the user who was granted with this info, isn't bzpower member, and with that said, he isn't dangereus for Bionicle fans . Or maybe he thought that giving info to one person wouldn't change anything.
