1Hi, Greg. I have a few questions that I'd like to know the answer to for a theory I'm working on. Thanks in advance. 21. About how large is the Red Star in relation to Karda Nui?
32. Could you reveal how many beings are living in the Red Star? Is it a lower number, like six, or more like hundreds of beings?
43. Would these beings be affected by the Brotherhood's plan being successfully completed?
54. Can you confirm that Mata Nui (the island) is currently the only island on the surface of the Bionicle planet, now that Voya Nui has returned to the Mainland?
65. Is there anyone other than the Great Beings that can create universes?
71-4) Sorry, I can't answer any of these 85) Well, someone created the universe the BIONICLE planet is in, and it wasn't the Great Beings.
9Number 5 is intriguing. Someone Greater than the Great Beings? Plus I find it sort of interesting that he couldn't answer number 1--that could help my theory.
1Hello Mr Farshtey. I was wondering if you could answer these questions.
21. Would it be possible for a matoran and toa to join into a kaita or fusion
32. Who is your favorite matoran currently in Karda-Nui
43. Can you tell me some new infomation about the toa mahri [from when they got to Metru nui
54. Will Axonn appear again in 2008.
65. When is Toyfair gonna happen. Sorry for asking, no one's told me
76. Could a Experienced toa of fire manage to wrap him self in fire, like the human torch
8Darth matrix, you might say I saw the light..... by looking at bulb for 2 hours
91) Fusion, yes, kaita, no 102) Don't really have one 113) Not really anything new to tell 124) Possibly in a web serial, but have not decided yet. 135) ToyFair is late Feb., around the 20th, I think 146) Yes, but a Toa of Fire, while highly resistant to heat and flame, is not invulnerable to it, so he probably shouldn't do that for too long.

1I PMed Greg some today:
471- Has he seen Spiriah? 482- I didn't think so. 493- Interesting... 504- Equally interesting... 515- Thought so. 526- Hm... I'll have to PM back on that.. 537- Yeah... 548- Okay, that's cool. 559- Good: 5610- Oh. Then how did Spiriah get one? 5711- I wonder what... 5812- But- Pohatu? 5913- Duh. 6014- That means he could be a combiner, but he didn't say so. He could be like Krahka. 6115- I didn't think on that. 6216- Neat. 6317- That's good news. 6418- Didn't think so. 6519- Of course. 6620- I'm a Mac.
2Hi, here"s some questions:
31- Why does Spiriah have a tail?
42- I know none would, but which Makuta (Besides Spiriah) would be most likely to turn against the Brotherhood?
53- When did Krakua become a Toa?
64- In Dark Mirror, who has more political power: Tuyet or Nidhiki?
75- Will we learn MoMN's name in Dark Mirror?
86- Could in theory (a) Makuta find a way to control Mata Nui?
97- Is Mata Nui's body smaller than Botar?
108- Has Takanuva's mask/weapons changed because of the Shadow Leech?
119- Will Icarax be in the comics and books, or just serials?
1210- Is the Midak Skyblaster a real weapon, or is it exclusive to Adaptive Armor?
1311- Do Tahu's team carry Midaks?
1412- How did the Toia decide who should go with who?
1513- Which could be more powerful in the present storyline: Knowledge or a weapon?
1614- Will Miserix be a combiner or a real set?
1715- Is it possible for a Makuta to have a white color scheme, because white is light?
1816- Who is/was your all-time favorite character to write about?
1917- About how many Toa are alive and active in the present time? 2017b- How many are alive and inactive, as in in stasis or frozen or something?
2118- Will MoMN be re-released this year?
2219- Do the Dark Hunters fall under Toa allies or Makuta allies?
23And lastly... 2420- Mac or PC?
25Thanks:
261) I didn't notice that he did. 272) Sorry, I can't answer hypotheticals. As you say, that's not going to happen. 283) Recently 294) Oh, Tuyet by far -- we don't even know yet if Nidhiki is still alive in that universe. 305) No. If you learn it in a serial, it would be in Mutran Chronicles, otherwise, it will be in Book 9 316) You're going to need to suggest how you think he would do that if you want me to tell you if it's plausible or not. 327) Can't answer it 338) Color of his mask has changed, yes 349) He is in the comics and the books 3510) It's an adaptive weapon. 3611) No 3712) Well, you figure Kopaka and Tahu are both team leaders, so one has to be with each team. Gali is Water, and Onua is Earth, so they are more suited to a swamp than Pohatu or Lewa would be, and of course you want Lewa in the air. 3813) Depends on the knowledge and the weapon 3914) I can tell you he will not be a set that's available for sale 4015) Makuta are shapeshifters, so they can change their appearance, as Makuta did to look like Dume 4116) Probably Krahka 4217) Around 55, somewhere in that neighborhood 4317b) Only one that we know of 4418) No 4519) Neither, they work for themselves only. 4620) PC
471- Has he seen Spiriah? 482- I didn't think so. 493- Interesting... 504- Equally interesting... 515- Thought so. 526- Hm... 1Hmm. Does anyone else thing that Miserix is going to be the contest winner? As he isn't going to "be a set that's available for sale," that still leaves the option of his being a combiner... But it also leaves the Makuta contest winner spot open. It would make sense because, even though somebody else made the model, the story is still done by Greg, so he could make it whoever he wanted, right?

1QUOTE 2QUOTE 3QUOTE 4Hi Greg. Just a few questions. 51. What Kanohi did Icarax originally wear? 62. What species are Hydraxon, Axonn, and Brutaka? 73. Who built Maxilos? 84. Will we ever see a picture of Tuyet and Nidhiki? 94a. Will we ever see a picture of the Toa Hagah?
10Thanks for your time:
111) Hasn't been revealed yet 122) The species have not been given BIONICLE names 133) The Order of Mata Nui 144-4a) I doubt it. They do not exist in plastic, so there's nothing to draw a picture of, and none of them are appearing in the comics.
15Ok. Cool. A few more questions. 161. Will we ever know what districts the Makuta in Karda Nui ruled? 171a. If so, could you tell me? 182. In Dark Mirror, are the Brotherhood of Makuta and the Dark Hunters the "Good Guys"?
19That's all.
201) Eventually, yes 212) I don't know if you would call them good guys -- they are fighting for freedom against the Toa, but the freedom they are fighting for is the freedom to do whatever they want, including acts of evil.

23Greg must have made a mistake. Artakha made the Maxilos robots. I distinctly remember Karzahni saying that the robots reeked of him.
17. I notice that (the set) Icarax's Kraahkan is black while, (the set) MOMN's Kraahkan is gray. Is this just in the sets? Or is it because the Kraahkan was in the sliver sea for so long (as the same thing happened to the Vahi (gold to orange))?
2~S~
37) Just a designer thing, not a story thing
4~S~
5Hate to tell you this, but there is no difference in color between the two Kraahkans. They're both Black.
1I don't know about you guys, but my MoMN's Kraahkan wasn't jet black like Icarax's. It was a lighter shade. I know I saw a picture of the two next to each other somewhere, but I haven't been able to dig it up yet.

2Actually, MoMN's mask is a shade or two lighter than Icarax's. But they could both be considered black. Perhaps MoMN's lightened slightly due to age?

2I suppose it's because of new colorings. Try comparing a Vorakh foot with say, Roodaka. You'd noticed a big difference...
3or it's just aging pieces.
1Hey Greg: Just a few questions.
21)I heard that 2009 won't take place in the matoran universe. Is this correct? 31a)Is the red star in the matoran universe? 41b)If it isn't, does that mean '09 will focus on the characters in the red star or a planet near it?
52)have you ever based a characters personality off of someone you know? If yes, then who?
63)If you could be a Toa of any element, what would it be?
7Thanks for your time:
8Arcton
91) Correct 101a) No. The Matoran universe is the domes. The red star is outside the domes 111b) I can tell you the red star will not be the setting for 2009 122) No 133) Probably ice
14Well... here you go.
1Elitespartan, you need to PM Greg, link is on page 1, and he's in the Pit finding prisoners or something like that.
1Greg must have made a mistake. Artakha made the Maxilos robots. I distinctly remember Karzahni saying that the robots reeked of him.
2Yes, actually, because of some accident, it is on Wikipédia but not on BS01.
3If I remember correctly the Maxilos robots were invented on/by Artakha but they were built and manufactured by the OoMN and that would include Hydraxon. He needed to know this in order to keep the Maxilos robots going when he could not guard the Pit alone. So he knew how to repait them; therefore he knew the wekpoints of the design.
1[... 2I can't even imagine what he means by a new naming system. Something that younger fans can pronounce, and won't get frustrated with? Maybe they're gonna stick with more conventional names. Toa Mike? lol
3There is only one problem: Most of the Bionicle names are pronounced in a europian way, for example German or Dansk. This languages are hard to pronounce for someone who speaks only English. E.g., I have no problems with the pronouncation of any name in the Bionicle Universe because I'm from Germany. I just have to read the name, but you have to read the name in a different way.
4I suspect that a six year old children would pronounce such a weird name correctly (And I'm sure, LEGO is sharing my opinion), 5so they start to create a new naming system, which could be pronounced correctly be anyone on the earth.
6~Gaara_Ai
7Never underestimate the power of my non-german speaking figuring-out-pronounciation prowess: 8(basicly, I speak only english, and I can pronounce them fine.)
13) BS01 has a picture of him, but I think it's fan-made
2Who, Ahkmou? That pic is from MNOG II, though I don't know what level of canonicity that game is.
3Hi, Greg. I've been in a heated discussion with BS01 members about Icarax's tools, and which is which. First off, see this quote from S@H:4Makuta Icarax is the ultimate winged warrior of shadow: He can batter his foes with his massive shield, drive them down with his rotating shadow sword, or crush them in his clawed hands. Can any power in the universe hope to stop him? Includes Tridax pod with four shadow leeches.
5Now, I think that this is the "rotating shadow sword", but one member suggests that this in the sword, because, as seen in that picture, it can rotate. So, I ask you, which is the sword and which is the shield? Thanks for your time. 6~Doc C.
7Best thing to do would be for me to actually check it out on the set. Unfortunately, I don't have one yet, as it isn't in the showroom (store exclusives usually aren't) or in our company store yet.
8Well, I hit a dead end.
9~Doc C.
10Easy. The rotating one is the shield. The left-and weapon looks nothing that can shield him.11Or maybe he's a different species of Steltan.
12That would make the most sense. Then we'd have four: Krekka, Voporak (but it could be mutation), Sidorak, and Gladiator.
13For the sword, the one that is held by Ehlek's claws is the sword. If I remember correctly, Brutaka's sword was called rotating blades, but the actual set didn't rotate. Also, the only one that looks like it can be a shield is the weapons with the Magnetism-shield in the middle with Antroz claws.
14Also, Voporak was the same species as Sidorak, but Sidorak overthrew him or something and the BOM took Voporak for testing their mutations on. So far, there are only three Steltan species: Sidorak's Krekka's, and Gladiator's (not sure on that one, though, will have to check).

3Maybe its the brickmaster exclusive...
4If he is, he's going to be awfully small for a Makuta, which would be a reason why he was overthrown so easily. I kinda doubt that the former BOM leader would have that few pieces. The last BM exclusive was 103 pieces, and it was a Batbot.
1Makuta can shapeshift.
1hi greg i have a few questions: 21)has a boomerang ever been a tool to a bionicle character? 32)can antroz actually bite others? 43)what gave you the idea to make the 2008 makuta bat like? 54)if a character gets hit by a trydax pod and gets hit by another one wat happens? 65)whos stronger icarax or mutran? 76)why does spiriah have a midak skyblaster? 87)other than his trydax pod, what other weapons does vamprah have? 98)will vamprah ever talk? 109)are there other makuta in the skies of karda nui?
1LORD LOSS, please PM your questions to Greg via the link on the first post of this topic.

11You have to PM Greg with the link on the front page, but I can answer your questions.
121) Yes, Hydraxon 132) Yes 143) I think that was the set designers choice 154) Nothing, there is no more light to drain 165) In physical strength, they are the same 176) Follow the story 187) He doesn't, he didn't want to overpower the canister Makuta 19I dont think I know the answers to 8 and 9.
1For number four, I think that he would get drained twice as fast. 2And Bioniclestory shows that in physical strength, Icarax is far stronger.
3As for eight and nine, "ever" is too hard to say, Vamprah might, but we can't know. 4And I don't think there's any more Makuta there other than the Phantoka.

1Dear Greg,
2Here are some questions:
31. Was Krakua the voice that told Lewa to get the Sundial?
42. Why wasn't Pridak on Brutaka's team if he was once a servant to the BOM?
53. Has Hydraxon been successful capturing runners?
64. What is Lesovikk doing? 74a.Is he going to come back into the bionicle story soon?

53. Has Hydraxon been successful capturing runners?
64. What is Lesovikk doing? 74a.Is he going to come back into the bionicle story soon?
1I'm thinking 09 is going to be an island on the Endless Ocean. After all, it's outside the Universe.
251) Actually, I don't think I said that -- I said that we don't know whether Brutaka is alive and possessing an Olmak in this dimension, not that we know he is dead.
262) When we refer to the universe in the story, we are referring to the Matoran world inside the domes, because the story is told from their point of view. To them, that is their universe. 272a) I can't discuss the nature of the Great Beings 282b) The Great Beings did not create the planet the Matoran domes are on, no
293) Yes.
304) Actually, he was largely right. Look at the Matoran after Mata Nui went down -- they were still crediting him with the sunrise and the sunset and every good thing in their lives, and he was asleep: He wasn't even doing anything. To their way of thinking, Mata Nui created the BOM and gave them their job, so any good the BOM did was because of the wisdom of Mata Nui in creating them.
315) I would say yes, there is.
326) Yes, they are. What comes out of a story team meeting is, for example -- "the Toa Nuva go to Karda Nui, team up with Matoran, and fight the Brotherhood of Makuta. The Matoran live in villages on top of stalactites, and there is a swamp down below. At the end of the year, X and Y happen and that leads us into 2009." So a pretty set skeleton for the year, and of course Christoffer's wonderful set designs. Then the flesh gets added to the bones in terms of characterizations, relationships, etc. by me in the comics, the books and on the web site.
337) Given that suva were created on Mata Nui, where there had been none, I would say the answer's yes.
348) Yes. Metru Nui was, at one time, a major trading port, for one thing.
359) Completely unusual. Mata Nui did not deal with individual beings in his universe. It is sort of like this - let's say you are out camping. There's an anthill nearby, and some of the ants in it are stealing from the others. Are you going to get involved and stop that? Or are you so concerned with much bigger things that you don't even notice?
3610) Actually, three that we know of, because there are female Av-Matoran which means the potential exists for a female Toa of Light.
3711) Other Toa of Water would also be able to do it.
3812) Not really. A kraata infection puts you actually under the influence of Makuta. Tahu was not under the influence of Makuta, he was just nuts. 3912a) It is possible to cleanse a corrupted mask, using a similar process to what was done to heal Tahu, so you are right on that score.
4013) Yes, it is.
4114) No. Makuta does not have to maintain contact with the kraata in order to influence the mask wearer. 4214a) Yes 4314b) My own feeling is that Makuta may have engineered their ability to produce kraata, it was not something Mata Nui gave to them.
4415) 2009 is a different situation, simply because we have a movie coming. The story had to be planned out so that a script could be written by this month. So there are still gaps in the story/script that won't be filled until we have approved set designs, but the majority of the work had to be done before the designs were or we would never make a fall '09 release date.
671) You're kind of confusing me with the term "Cleopatra beings" -- what is that referring to? 682b) Bingo. 693) I can't discuss this 704) Mata Nui does not speak directly to the denizens of his universe, so they had no way to go complain to him. 715) It would still be on that universe's mainland, yes. And if Takanuva did find it, he would be cursed by it. 727) Don't know, never tried to make one But I doubt they are easy to tamper with, probably easier to just destroy them. 739) His job is making sure things like gravity works and heat and light are provided, not to intervene in ant squabbles. And the fact is, Mata Nui's current troubles arise out of the fact that he wasn't paying attention to what was going on in his universe. 749a) Why did the ancient Greeks praise Zeus? They never saw him ... never talked to him ... and he never suddenly reached down and said, "Hey, stop that:" 759b) In part, because the Makuta really weren't in the public eye. Until the Matoran civil war, they weren't even overseeing regions, they were mainly on Destral making Rahi. Think of it this way -- if you watch a really good TV program tonight, you might praise the writers or actors or producers (or, in this case, that Rahi that just saved you a lot of work) -- do you praise the cable company or the company that manufactured your TV? I mean, without them, you couldn't have watched it. 7610) It's because the Av-Matoran were the prototypes for all other Matoran, and as with all prototypes, some things got changed after they were created. 7711) Water specific 7811a) Yes 7911b) No, because Matoran have no elemental abilities 8012) Correct 8112a) I don't understand your question. A mask infected by a kraata would put the Matoran under Makuta's influence if the Matoran donned it, otherwise it is no threat. And the poison affects living beings, not inanimate objects, so you can't infect a mask with it. A mask can't get sick or die. 8213) Yes 8313a) I guess you can if you like, I don't plan on using the term 8414) It's a strain to produce that many kraata, that's where the strain comes in. 8514b) Before 8614c) Again, you are assuming Mata Nui is paying attention to little things like this. To use another analogy -- you are standing at the front door of your house. There's a big snowstorm raging, and it's your job to keep the front walk clear of snow. Behind you, a mouse scurries across the floor and into the kitchen. Do you notice? Or are you focused on what your job is?
1051) I don't think I said it was impossible. What I said was that there is no proof (yet) that Brutaka is alive in this universe or has an Olmak, and that I have no plans to bring them into the main universe. 1069) They are acting out of jealousy and selfishness. The point here is that you do not do good to get praised or honored or for other selfish reasons -- then you are not really doing good. You are supposed to do good because it's the right thing to do. 1079a) Is he being "bad at his job" if he is doing his job the way the Great Beings intended for him to? The Toa exist to deal with these issues. It's not Mata Nui's job. 10812) Answer's no. 1091) I'd rather not add another term in and confuse the issue even more. 1102) Yes 1113) The Hagah 1124) Only Matoran who have been on the surface would know anything about it 1135) If there are, I haven't invented them yet 1146) Among the recruits in that book, yes 1157) Yes 1168) The Makuta came through a portal in the western wall, and it hasn't been revealed how Jovan's team got there. 1179) No 11810) Protecting the Av-Matoran. Toa see protecting Matoran as part of their job, and when they get there, there is only one besieged village left. 11911) Yes, body would cease to exist 12012) Artakha 12112a) Would depend on if the GK they created was destined to transform or not
1271) Didn't threaten the working of the universe, though. The issues in Karzahni applied only in that one small area, and things like gravity, light, and breathable atmosphere still functioned as normal. 1281a) Well, we know, for example, that Artakha can control the weather on his island, so obviously some beings have powers that supercede natural law. 1292) No. You would survive the initial mass extinction, but if no new life replaces the old life in the domed universe, eventually the island of Mata Nui would most likely collapse. 1302a) No. Takanuva cannot move at light speed. He has no training in that. He aspires to be able to do it, but cannot do it now. 1312b ) No. Matoran have no space travel, so no need to have such equipment.
132So that's a pretty wide post to scroll through, but the point is essentially thus: Mata Nui doesn't care about what's going on in the universe. Also, no Toa could make it off the planet at this time, and there would be no means of surviving once they had done so anyway.
2Hi: I've been browsing the OGD and a few more things have popped into my head I wanted to know a bit about.
31)You said that no one in the pocket dimension has access to dimensional travel, does this mean there is no Olmak in that dimension? 4a) If there's no access to other dimensions from the Cleopatra, then doesn't that mean Takanuva is stuck there permanently? 5b ) Are there other ways to traverse the pocket dimensions without using an Olmak?
62) I'm a little unclear on the exact definition of "Universe" in Bionicle. The term applies only to the subterranean domes and the nations contained therein, right? Not to the Endless Ocean or anything off of the Bionicle planet? 7a) If so, then this alters what it is Great Beings do, doesn't it? By saying they create universes, that means they make places like the domes on the world of Bionicle, right? Does this mean Great Beings are more like star-travelers than trans-dimensional beings? 8b ) If not, then the Great Beings are responsible for the creation of everything within the domes, the Endless Ocean, and the red star, correct?
93) If a Great Being can be driven insane, can they also be killed?
104)With regards to the Makuta, they've had some pretty big jobs in the universe, haven't they? After all, it's no small feat being responsible for creating a world of creatures and understanding the interactions necessary between them required to stabilize an ecosystem. So what I wand to know is this: Is Makuta (The Makuta of Metru Nui)'s assessment of how the Brotherhood was treated accurate? Were they really given no respect or praise, despite the very important work they did? Or is he wrong in his assessment?
115) In the Pocket Dimension, is there an Ignika?
126) How much autonomy do you have over the story? Obviously major plot points are a team effort, right, but as for things like the comedic relationship of Nokama and Matau, or Jaller's resentment of Matoro, those are up to you, right?
137) Can a Toa build a suva on his or her own in the field, or is it something that really requires a base of operations?
148) Before the Great Shadow, was communication between domes much better?
159) On the topic of crime, when Mata Nui was still able to do anything about it, would it have been unusual for him to intervene?
1610) Of the known Toa-elements, only two are female, correct?
1711) Is healing an ability only Gali possess among Toa, or can other Toa, specifically Toa of Water, do this?
1812) When Tahu was poisoned in Mask of Light, was the damage the same as a Kraata infection? 19a) If so, does that mean it's possible to heal Kraata infections?
2013) I've heard recently that it is possible to restore light, or rather, that it's a matter of breaking the darkness so someone has the opportunity to restore their own light. Is this true?
2114)If a mask is infected by a Kraata, but the Kraata is one which has not been contacted by a Makuta in a long, long time, will the infected wearer be relatively unaffected, since no Makuta is influencing the mask? 22a) Are Makuta instantly aware of the fact that someone has come under their control via infected masks? 23b ) If Kraata have always been a part of Makuta, does this mean there was once a more benign purpose behind their infections?
2415) If a lot of the story isn't decided until sets have been seen, how can you know how 2009 starts?
451) With regards to this question, I've read in the OGD that there is no known means of dimensional travel. I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I thought Brutaka was dead. What I've read was your refuting the possibility of intervention by the Cleopatra beings because there was no way for them to get from the pocket dimension back to the main one. Could you perhaps explain this a little more to me? Is it because it is incredibly hard to know where any Olmak is going to take you, or is it more along the lines of the Toa Empire not having an Olmak in their possession?
462b) So the Matoran are, in fact, on a planet floating in space? And the planet either a) existed prior to the Great Beings creating it or b ) was created so that they could build a "universe" on it?
473) How hard would it be to kill a Great Being? Would I have to be as powerful as Mata Nui, or is even he not strong enough to challenge them?
484) So the Brotherhood really were getting the raw end of the deal? Did any of them think to talk to Mata Nui about it, or was it just "They don't respect us so we're going to MAKE them respect us"?
495) But the likelihood of obtaining this "Second" Ignika is less than slim, right, since Takanuva is not destined to wield it? 50a) Would the Second Ignika be in the volcano on the Mainland then?
517) How hard is it to make a suva, and would it be easy to tamper with if I just left it alone and unguarded?
529) But it isn't my job to make sure those ants play nice. Isn't it Mata Nui's job to take care of the ant hill and make sure everything goes fine? Or is his job more along the lines of making sure that the forest is kept nice and clean so that the ants don't die? Wouldn't it be more apt to say that the Matoran Universe is an ant-farm which Mata Nui owns, and which he is responsible for, given the fact that he was sent to it with a specific purpose, and not just passing through. (I'm sorry if this winds up just being an argument of semantics, but it would seem to me that Mata Nui ought to be a bit more compassionate toward a world of persons who care so deeply about him. Also, I understand if this gets a bit too close to discussion of the nature of Mata Nui.) 53a) If that is how Mata Nui works (Impersonally), then why do the Matoran praise him so much? He seems such a vague and unknown factor in their lives. Wouldn't they be more likely to praise the Makuta, whose acts they saw on a daily basis, like the Toa? 54b ) What I guess I'm really driving at is this: What was it about the Brotherhood that excluded them from praise? Mata Nui might be praised for sustaining their lives on a daily basis, but the Toa do daily heroics in the public eye just like the Brotherhood did, right? So shouldn't the Brotherhood have been praised every bit as much as Mata Nui and the Toa?
5510) It's generally unusual for Matoran to come in both genders, so is there any significance behind the Av-Matoran being both male and female? That is, is there any significant reason why all races (breeds, tribes, clans?) of Matoran are singular gender, but Av-Matoran? Or is that just a symbolic sort of thing, like, Av-Matoran can be both masculine and feminine because both men and women have the potential for light, just as Shadow Matoran can be any gender because both men and women have the potential for evil?
5611) Would other Toa types be capable of healing? Like, Light Toa, or Toa of the Green, or is that a Water specific power? 57a) Can Turaga of Water heal to lesser extents? 58b ) What about Matoran of Water?
5912) So Lehrahk's poison is not the same as Kraata infection? 60a) Could a mask infected with either Lehrahk's poison or by a Kraata then infect other Matoran in some way, or is infection non-communicable?
6113) So it would be possible to heal Takanuva and the Shadow Matoran? 62a) Would you say that, in the same line that someone exposed to Pit Mutagen is "Mutated," to Lehrahk Poison is "Poisoned," and Kraata Infection is "Infected," that it is fair to say someone who has had their light leeched by Shadow Leeches has been "Darkened"?
6314) a) Is it a strain on Makuta to infect massive populations? If notification of infection is, say, akin to the old pop-ups which say "You've Got Mail:" would a Makuta at the least be slightly annoyed after awhile? 64b ) Was the birth of the Kraata process before or after the Great Shadow? 65c) If it was before, and Mata Nui had knowledge of it, wouldn't he have been slightly alarmed? If it were my job to keep an army ant-farm, for instance, I'd be a little worried by the fact that the mushrooms the army ants ate were suddenly growing on them.
66Again, thank you in advance for answering these, it's really cool to me to actually discuss the works of an author whose books I read:
871) To be perfectly honest, I have no idea how the word Cleopatra wound up in that question. I cannot for the life of me recall asking that question using that word. I abbreviated it to P.D. but without the punctuation. How odd. What I meant was the general populace of the Pocket Dimension. Sorry. I wonder if there's a censor on the forum which altered it?
889) So, in a sense, the Makuta are right in what they're doing, aren't they? Or at the very least, what they're doing has a twisted, sick kind of reason to it, doesn't it? It isn't just something that's fun, or because they want to rule the world, but because Mata Nui was, of all things, bad at his job, and because the Makuta weren't getting credit for the things they did? 89a) On the subject of being bad at his job, wouldn't it have been better if Mata Nui had paid a little more attention to his universe? I'm all for allowing everyone inside the domes free will, but he still should have taken a greater interest in the lives he was working so hard to keep going, right?
9012a) What I mean is this: Could an infected mask spread the infection to another mask? As in, if a kraata touched, say, Balta's mask, and he fell under the influence of Makuta, and then he was trapped in a confined space with the rest of the Voya Nui resistance team, could the Makuta will him to do something which would infect the other masks, like, rubbing his mask against another one or something else? In other words, could a Makuta infect other masks if the only available kraata were far away and all he had was one infected Matoran to work with?
91Some other things which have popped into my head as of late:
921) You've said that Toa who are, for lack of a better term, born Toa, are not a part of the Matoran species. I was wondering if you had another term for the species of these Toa. I've been toying with the term "Artahkan" since all seven of the Toa I can think of who were created Toa instead of transformed into them, originated on Artahka (Toa Nuva and the First Toa). Would you say this is a suitable term, or is it something you don't really like?
932) Could a Toa of Shadows, or a Makuta, absorb all the shadows in a room, if they wanted to?
943) Which team of Toa would you say is more well known in the Matoran Universe: Lhikan's team, or the Hagah?
954) Do people inside the domes know about the red star, or is that a knowledge unique to those who have been to the Endless Ocean?
965) Are there other friendly races in the Matoran Universe? So far it seems everyone is kinda hostile to Matoran.
976) A lot of Dark Hunter profiles I've read make it sound like they joined to fight the Brotherhood of Makuta. Is that a common attitude among recruits?
987) Are there many large cities like Artahka and Metru Nui which are still operated by Matoran?
998) Is there a way to just walk into the dome of Karda Nui? The Makuta didn't go through The Pit, and the Toa Mata and Av-Matoran didn't get teleported in there by Artahka the first time, did they?
1009) Are there Matoran settlements down in the Swamp?
10110) I'm a bit sketchy about what the Toa Nuva are doing this year. I know the endgame is to drive the Makuta from Karda Nui and awaken Mata Nui, but I'm not sure I understand the way they're going about it. I get that Team 2 is looking for the Ignika, since that's not something you're going to want to let go around unguarded if you can help it, but what is the goal for Team 1, up in the Stalactite cities?
10211) Back in 2001, it was often likely a Toa could lose his mask in some of the fights he got into, especially Lewa, who lost his in a hive and then got it replaced by a krana later on. Could the Toa Ignika be stripped of it's mask, and if so, would it's body dissolve?
10312) Who made the Golden Kanohi? 104a) Could they make Golden Kanohi Nuva, if they needed to?
11911) Yes, body would cease to exist 12012) Artakha 12112a) Would depend on if the GK they created was destined to transform or not
1221) Okay, I've been mulling over this for a day or two now, and I've got another question about Mata Nui's job, if you can answer it. Mata Nui is supposed to make certain that the physical laws of his world are enforced, right? That something like fire is always hot, water is wet, rock is solid, and gravity always points down, right? So if that's his job, what about in the land of Karzahni, where volcanoes spewed ice and other frightening things? 123a) Supposing that the conditions in Karzahni are that way because Karzahni makes them that way, does that mean things like pollution or disruption can override the basic laws of the universe?
1242) This one's another escape the Ignika-Death-Spell question. If I brought some rahi and plants up onto Mata Nui from Metru Nui, could I survive with these things for an indefinite period of time? 125a) Say I was a Toa of Light, and I had a mask of levitation, and I stood on top of the highest remaining point on Mata Nui. If I used my mask of levitation or flight in conjunction with my light speed powers, could I achieve escape velocity into the vacuum above the Bionicle planet? 126b ) Likewise, if I could achieve escape velocity, is there any known breathing apparatus or mask which would help me to survive once into space?
1Hi, sorry if I am annoying, but i have some questions that need answering:
21.Av-Matoran and Kra-Matoran are with better developed elemental powers than other Matoran, correct? 31a.Av-Matoran and Kra-Matoran have reserves of elemental energy, right? 42.Can there be other Av-Matoran powers, others than those we have seen-like to bend light around himself, thus becoming invisible? 53.Do other former non Av-Matoran Kra-Matoran get any special powers when connected to a Makuta 63a.Does a former Av-Matoran(Now Kra-Matoran) get any special powers when connected to a Toa of Shadow? 73b.This question is the same as question Number 2, only with Kra-Matoran 84.Do the Makuta have elemental energy reserves? 95.Which one's shadow powers are stronger-Toa of Shadow or a Makuta? 106.The "Elemental" Kraata powers of a Makuta are strong as the Bohrok-Kal's elemental powers, correct?
11If you don't get the question, here's what i mean 12Pahrak Kal's range of Plasma Powers=A Makuta's range of Plasma powers 13Kohrak Kal's range of Sonics Powers=A Makuta's range of Sonics Powers 14Nuhvok Kal's range of Gravity Powers=A Makuta's range of Gravity Powers 15Tahnok Kal's range of Electricity Powers=A Makuta's range of Electricity Powers 16Gahlok Kal's range of Magnetism Powers=A Makuta's range of Magnetism Powers 17Lehvak Kal's range of Vacuum Powers=A Makuta's range of Vacuum Powers
187.Can the optical sensors in Chirox, Vamprah and Antroz's armors be repaired? 197a.If not, can they be replaced with new ones? 208.If a Makuta's armor got crushed, can a new armor be built, again with shapeshifting powers, as strong as the former armor, etc.? 219.Why were the plans of Ahkmou becoming a Toa of Shadow scrapped?
22Thanks for taking your time to answer these
231) Yes 242) We have no idea what other Matoran powers there might be when Av-Matoran are linked to Toa 253) Yes 263a) Probably, yes 273b) Yes 284) Yes, shadow is their element 295) A Makuta 306) Oh, stronger, but I don't worry about ranges and things like that. I'm not writing a roleplaying game, I'm writing a story. 317) No 327a) No 338) Yes, but the Makuta do not have the ability to do so. 349) Because it was decided in Denmark that his set was not needed in the 2008 assortment. Once he wasn't going to be a set, there was no need for or room for him in story.
35I think all of these are interesting. 9 is a bit disappointing though. It would be so cool if Ahkmou, my fav Matoran-villain, became a Toa of Shadow.
1Whaat??? But non Av-Matoran don't get any power when linked to a Makuta. Greg said so.
1Hi there Greg, I hope you're having a good time with Lego's Anniversary. Just got a couple of quick ones. 21) In the period between Mata Nui's creation and his "coming to life", were the Great Beings sustaining the Universe? 32) I understand if you can't answer this one, but has the Mutagen in the Core been harming Mata Nui's health to the point of being one of the main causes of his death? 4Thanks: -Ax-
51) Yes, I think that is fair to say 62) No, it did not play that significant of a role.
7There we go, nothing real big. -Ax-
1Hello sir, and well, I checked the OGD for answers, but seeing that I only found a few, I need some clarification.
21) A Toa can logically draw power from both his light and shadow in his body. 32) If no on 1, then am I correct that Takanuva is using his elemental power and the shadow in his body? 43) Next, then is it correct that a Toa could use light and the EP? 54) Then can I say that a Toa has an Elemental reserve, light reserve, and shadow reserve in his body? 65) Can all 3 powers could be used at the same time?
71-2) When a being is drained of light, they gain the power of shadow in place of whatever power they had before. Takanuva was half drained, meaning he now has his old power and the power of shadow to replace the light he lost. 83) No. Only a Toa of Light can use light elemental power. 94) No 105) No. If you drain a Toa of Fire of his light, he will have the shadow power. If you half drain him, he will have fire and shadow. He will never have the power of light. If he could, there would have been no need for a Toa of Light to fight Makuta, any of the Toa could have done it.
113) On a situation when a Toa chooses to tap into their light in their bodies with positive emotions. 125) Same situation.
13We have never seen this done, though. We have seen Roodaka tap into shadow energy, but we have never seen anyone other than Av-Matoran be able to tap into their light energy. My guess is that doing that would require extensive training over a period of years, which no Toa has completed (or even started), so it's not really relevant to the current universe.
14Just a bit of clarification..
1Some questions I felt like asking. Some are random, some are not but I don't think it's anything new.
2Hey Greg I have some questions.....
31. Does Icaraxx HATE Makuta? Like not only does he want to rule BoM but he wants Makuta dead?
42. Is there any reason why Antroz,Chirox,Vamprah,Mutran, and Icaraxx decided to have creepy bat-like monster forms? Did they need them to fly, did they have no choice, or just wanted to look creepy?
53. Is our universe a pocket universe of the Bionicle Universe?
64. Lets say for some reason a Matoron was transported to our universe. Would he be physically stronger then an average adult human? 7Thanx Greg:
81) No. Icarax is a warrior, but he's a practical warrior. He kills when it serves his purposes. If he wrests leadership of the BOM from MoMN, he doesn't need to kill him. 92) Yes. If you had to fly in combat, AND wanted to intimidate your enemies, what better appearance to take on? 103) No 114) Not something I have worried about, since humans are not a part of this storyline

1Some stuff on the core...
2Hi Mr F, sorry to add to the massive pile o' Pms you get, but I have some questions for you:
31.) Does Mutran have any kind of feelings for Vican, almost like a warped relationship? Or is it almost like Igor and Dr. Frankenstein's relation to each other?
42.) About how long would you say Miserix has been in hiding on the Southern Isles? Has it just been ever since he was overthrown? 52a.) Did he pick to go here because he knew MoMN didn't know about the Chain he was going to?
63.) When Makuta were assigned regions, did they get to pick, or did MoMN (Assuming he was leader) tell them were to go? 73a.) Once a Makuta went to his Island/Region, did he ever leave, or was he permanintly stationed unless told otherwise?
84.) Were the Sheilds of the Core originally built to keep something... inside? Or possibly, from leaving? 94a.) If so, was this thing... a living creature? (Mata-Nui? 104b.) An object of some importance? 114c.) Maybe to keep the energy leval of the universe stabalized? Almost like if you took away a Dam, you'd have way to much water for the river to handel, so might the Core's Sheilds be the Dam, and the Universe the river?
12And Now, my theroy on how you can get your light back. Hope it's right...
13When the leaches suck all light out of you, they do it in a way that a sheild of some sort is created aroud the being in question (Not sure how...), and the only way to break that sheild is to use a massive amount of light energy on them. This will have no affect other than breaking the sheild. Then, with the sheild broken, they can naturally recover.
14Is this right? and, if it is, how long does it take to naturally recover?
15Thanks for your time, Mr. Farshtey:
161) The latter. 172) He's not hiding. 182a) No. 193) Miserix assigned the regions, not MOMN. 203a) They left when need be. 214) It keeps things both in and out 224a) No 234b) No 244c) Closer, but no 255) It's a good theory, but not accurate. If you hit a shadow being with a massive amount of light energy, you will kill them.
26Thanks: I have a couple of reactions, though...
271.) If he isn't hiding, then what is he doing? And if he isnt hiding, isn't that kind of risky, considering MoMN thinks he's dead?
284c.) Does it have to do with the energy output of the Core? Maybe, if there were no sheilds, then the core would just stop making energy, because it would all escape to fast?
295.) Well, I should have remembered that *facepalm*... does that mean that you have to use some kind o' method to break the sheild? Or, some other from of energy?
30Thanks Again:
311) You're assuming he is on the island voluntarily 324a) Nope 335) Yes

34That's it. When MOMN overthrew Miserix, whatever Makuta that was sent to kill Miserix sent him to that island chain.
1hi, im new to this site,{not bionicle though, been bionicle since 2001], why cant i ask greg a question.its not letting me. can someone tell me what to do. thanks
