1And BTW, the shape of the mask thing isn't a contradiction.

2Yes, it is. You and Lego can come up with whatever story you want for it, but that doesn't change the fact that the physical set's mask is a Kiril.

3True. Which does make it confusing. But the name Kiril actually means the power, in Matoran, not the shape, so technically it being shaped like a Kiril doesn't mean it's a Kiril. And BTW, that was stated long before these sets came out, back when we were first learning of maskmaking and Metru Nui. Possibly 'cuz they planned on doing this.. But it isn't a last minute excuse made up after the fact. That's what I meant. :)I would have preffered a new shape meself.. but ah well. Mold prices and all that, I guess. Anyways...

4I think the best plan of action would have been to stick with an older mask mold, I mean, we have about thirteen great mask styles to choose from, why go for a Noble mask shape? Do we really need a new power? Methinks not.

5It's fourteen Great Mask styles, really (Olda, Metru, Avohkii, and Lhikan's Hau). Not that it matters too much.
6Although as bonesiii mentioned earlier, perhaps it would be best to have a topic in S&T for this Kiril/Pehkui discussion, because it is slightly annoying to have to go through all these extra posts to find actual Qs&As from Greg.

7Or in The Official Rahaga Topic.

1I got a reply from Greg;
2ME: Does/will the '03 Matoran combiner have any significance to the story?
3GREG: Can you remind me what was? It was two years ago.
4ME: I couldn't find one single image. But it's basically a big Matoran with a tan body, blue Akaku, four arms and a sort of camel thingy.
5GREG: I would have to go back and check to see if it was ever used in the story in '03 -- if not, my answer is it probably won't be, since none of the sets that are used to build it are still available from us. Making something a big focus of the story when people can't get the sets to build it just frustrates people.

1A few more:
GregF
21) Why do you mention the BoM in Keetongu's bio when most people don't even know that Makuta has a Brotherhood at all? 31) Actually, anyone who saw LOMN heard Makuta ask Vakama to join him and his "brothers," so to an extent the cat is already out of the bag. 4And now the cat's about to eat the bag. 52) Can you tell us what each type of Kahgarak does (e.g. blue-white leads small Kahgarak units)? 62) Kahgarak don't really have different duties. They have different colors and different sizes, but their roles are pretty much the same. 7Better change the Database and MotR's Guide to '05 on this one. 83) Theoretically, could Iruini Hagah heal the Hordika? 93) No. If you have ever played a fantasy game, you'll know a heal ability is usually very different from a cure poison or reverse mutation ability. The Hordika and Rahaga aren't wounded, they're mutated. 104) Are the Hordika the only ones that could charge up their Rhotuka, or could the Hagah, etc.? 114) Hagah could not do it, no, because they did not have two tools to catch the Rhtouka between. 12What about the Toa Nuva? 135) Why do the Toa Hagah's "Rhotuka shields" hold two Rhotuka? 145) Saves time in battle if you can generate two at a time 15COOL: 166) What does Gaaki's Rhotuka do on land (in water, it attaches to an underwater target)? 176) She doesn't use it on land, because it is meant to hunt sea creatures. 187) What would happen if Keetongu hit a Visorak with one of his (normal) Rhotuka? 198) Speaking of which...you might have told us already, but exactly what is Keetongu's normal Rhotuka power? 207-8) He doesn't have a normal Rhotuka power. His Rhotuka power is whatever he last absorbed from someone else. 219) Before Makuta gave the Visorak to Sidorak, did the Visorak go around doing what they are doing now (webbing up Rahi, etc.)? 229) Ummmmm ... only casually. They were not on an organized campaign. 2310) The Kualsi only works on oneself (not on others), right? As in, Iruini could only teleport himself around, and couldn't teleport anyone else, right? (This could be why the head of the story department called the Kualsi the Mask of Quick Travel.) 2410) Yes. 2511) Could you humor me--what Kanoka make up a Pehkui and Kualsi? (I'm guessing a Shrink for Pehkui and Teleport for Kualsi.) 2611) I don't have that info. 27I didn't think so, but it would be nice if we did...

1GregF, 2I was wondering, how exactly do ta-matoran farm lava? I don't necessarily care why, just how.

3Basically, by using tools to direct lava into pre-dug channels so that it can be transferred into molds and cooled to make objects.

4Well, I guess that means that Keetongu can't undo the effects of Visorak venom with his spinner.

1Hey Roo,
2Just wanted to informally let you know that (assuming your BM status passes muster) you are one of the 50 first prize winners in the Toa contest. (Am waiting to hear back on the winner list -- we had to disqualify one grand prize finalist because he wasn't a BM).
3Greg

4Thanks Greg. :)
5Hey, just two quick questions:
6-The Toa that won -- what was it's elemental and mask power?
7-And, when to prizes get shipped? I mean, Iruini dosen't come out till August... do I have to wait until then to recieve him?
8Thanks, Greg: I had fun in this contest. ;) 9~Roodaka

101) Not releasing it yet -- it will be in the May magazine. 112) I am going to try to get the Iruini sets earlier, since they will be out in Europe in April. If not, then they will probably have to ship later, but I will still try to get them to prize winners before they are in stores.

21)Do you already really know if Norik and Iruini have a combiner? 32)If yes to 1 can you already say it's name? 43)Is Norik's Rhotuka like a Rhotuka of Time? 54)Were the Toa Hagah ever Matoran? 65)If yes to 1 will it have any significance to the story? 7Thanks for your time:

81) Don't know. 92) No one has mentioned one to me or asked me to write anything for it, so have no idea if one exists. 103) No. It doesn't slow down time, it just slows down your physical movement. 114) Possibly

2hi greg some QA...
31)will the rahagas past be in any of the books?
4ANSWER: It is mentioned in BA #8, but the actual origin is in the July comic.
52)will the next contest bue in the UK?
6ANSWER: That is up to the BIONICLE marketing team in the UK -- I don't make those decisions.
73)in adventures 3 i think, you say onupe swears to make something so people can defend their homes, now we know he then makes the boxor,so i take it this was a foreshadowing the event..but,would onupe remeber that amabition to make something to defnd his home after the merorie wipe?
8ANSWER: No -- but it shows that his personality was very selfless and he was willing to make the effort for his friends, so it would be natural that when in a similar situation -- with the Bohrok - -the same thought would occur to him.
94)will kanohi ever be a collectable again?
10ANSWER: I can't discuss future product plans.
115)is keetongu the being that power even makuta respects?
12ANSWER: No.
136)speaking of which..what kind of respect is it?the tpe you have for your hero,or fear unduced respect?
14ANSWER: With Makuta, it tends to be "This being is powerful enough to give me a fight" kind of respect.
157)are the bahrag realated in anyway to the BoM?
16ANSWER: Not directly, no.
178)what would sidorak do if he found that roodaka was plotting aganst him?
18ANSWER: Probably try to eliminate her.
199)if the toa nuve could use rohkuta, could they charge it seeing as they have two tools...
20ANSWER: Yes, possibly. But since the Toa Nuva have access to their elemental powers, they don't really need spinners to carry those powers for them.

2110)you said we would be surprised at the end of siddys story..is his end caused by roodaka or someone else?
22ANSWER: If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise, now, would it?
2311)do you know the life span of a matoran?
24ANSWER: Thousands of years, from what we have seen so far.
2512)did nidihki change in anyway when becoming a dark hunter.
26ANSWER: Yes
2713)the shadowed one,how much does he hate makuta?
28ANSWER: I wouldn't call it active hate. I would call it more resentment and contempt.
2914)does the EP entity, like makuta or is he like the karhznii?
30ANSWER: The EP entity needs Makuta because it has no real imagination of its own.
3115)the fire entity vakama fights, was it made by makuta or somethingelse?
32ANSWER: It was a Rahi.
3316)you said 2006 would be a great year for sets, will the dreaed bohrok deasiase come to a end?
34ANSWER: I don't know, what is that?
35thats all...
36i then got back to him on 16...
3716)you said 2006 would be a great year for sets, will the dreaed bohrok deasiase come to a end?
38ANSWER: I don't know, what is that?
39i was reffering to the clone sets.you know, diferent color different tools, thats it.so will it meet its end?

40I know that a lot of attention was paid to changing that, and from the pics I have seen, it looks like they have done so. That said, I do not know how much of what I have seen is final and how much is prototype, so I cannot say for sure what the '06 sets will look like. I do agree with you that that has to change, though.

7That's not the point, we were discussing the already existing GREAT mask molds they could have used for Norik instead of a Noble mask mold...and I still say the total is thirteen. The MoS and MoL are unique masks, no other exist to our knowledge. And someone brought up the Vahi earlier, but that is clearly not a great mask, being as it is made from level 9 disks. 8BTW, nice answers on that last post...although the "Bohrok Disease" might already be considered "cured"...remember the Visorak boast unique colors and individual limbs. But still, good to hear Lego is hearing our thoughts and taking them into consideration.

1Here's some questions and answers that I got.

2Howdy, Greg. It's so cool that you can answer our questions about Bionicle.  Anyway, I've got a couple questions.
31) Can Kopaka only see through walls while looking through the red hole thing in his Akaku Nuva, or does he only have to mentally activate it and he can even see through his eyelids?(He does have eyelids, right?)
42a.) I might have already asked you this but I'm not sure.  Did Nuju only figure out that his mask had the telescopic lens when he first got transformed or when he found his mask power in the Dark Hunters prison?
52b.) Is Nuju's mask the only one that's multi-tasking besides the Kanohi Nuva's neat trait of being able to share their powers?
63) Can Kopaka also make snow blizzards just like Nuju in Trial by Fire?
74)

82) Of all the Rahi, which ones have Bionicle names which would mean that, for the plural, you don't add an "s" to the end?

9What I meant was which Rahi don't have Bionicle names?
105) Is the Toa Metru Combiner that Krahka shapeshifts into our first glimpse of just how powerful Mata Nui(the Great Spirit) is?
116) Which of these questions have already been asked?
12-The White Wizard

131) Good question. I would assume his eyes would have to be open to use his power, just because the alternative would be he would end up like the Man With the X-Ray Eyes in the movie, and that would get messy.
142) The telescopic lens was always there -- it was part of his Matoran mask. It's an add-on, not part of the mask power. 152b) It's the only one with an add-on, yes
163) Yes
174) Oh, there are quite a few of them -- with the exception of Tahtorak, all the Rahi contest winners in the book have names that are not "BIONICLE."
185) Nope. Mata Nui is way beyond that form. People have been asking if a Toa Nui would essentially be Mata Nui, and the answer is no. For example, you could take your Honda and ramp it up and make it as fast as a Ferrari -- but it's still not a Ferrari. Mata Nui is more than just his power level, way more.
196) None.
20Greg
21Finally, a "good question."
22-The White Wizard

1Can someone send this questions to Greg? He just seems to don't receive mine's :(. Thanks:
2- Related to WotV, when the Toa are in the ladder fighting the Lohrak, some Vahki traps Nokama. My question is, those Vahki were normal ones or the new ones? They were flying, so my guess is that they were old ones.
3-Who is taller? Sidorak or Roodaka? Or almost the same size (In the storyline)?
4-I guess you can't answer this, but I tend to think that Toa Iruini and Norik were prototypes for Toa Nidhiki and Dume. Iruini fits exactly with Nidhiki, he only needs to be silver. Maybe they were created to be those Toa, but the storyteam changed their purpose. What do you think?
5-Is the Sentrakh able to shoot Rhotuka? If yes, which power it have?
6-Can you reveal The Shadowed One's Rhotuka power?
7-Can The Shadowed One use masks powers? Or just wear the masks (Story-wise)?
8-Did the Voporak have a Rhotuka launcher? Can you reveal its power?
9-Can you reveal why the Sentrakh is an unliving being? Is it a machine, or a zombie?
10-So, you already created a story about Toa Nidhiki for the Encyclopedia? Because I keep hearing the whole thing about the war between Toa/DH, and all...
11-Are there different sizes for the Battle Rams? Are they used with other purpose than frightening?
12-What is that thing looking like a blue Visorak with tentacles in one of the playsets (Tower of Toa, I think)?
13-The little thing with a golden Kraahkan in Tower of Toa, is a Kahgarak, and it's still there?
14-How do you write the name of the Mask of Shadows?
15-How do you pronounce Roodaka?
16-What kind of Rhotuka is the one in the Battle for Metru Nui Lhikan's mask? Which power it have?
17-Did Roodaka actually saw makuta frozen in solid proto, or she just heard him?
18-If Sidorak wants to have power in Roodaka's island by being more than just her "boss", is Roodaka actually pretty powerful in her island? A princess of sorts?
19-Is Iruini mask a mask power carved in another shape, like Norik's, or is it actually the shape corresponding to the power?
20-We will see how Makuta gets free in B3? I thought that it would be in BA #10, but it will be cool to see it in the movie.

4The color of the Vahi was chosen to represent a completely different type of Kanohi from the normal Kanohi and the Kanohi Nuva, not because it might be useable by The Shadowed One.

1But, for instance, Toa Norik's mask was made the shape it is in because the set designers didn't have a different shape at the time, but it's said that the mask was made that way to honor past heroes. Storyline reasons are sometimes made to "cover-up" the true, set-related reason.

1I'm going to clear this for once and for all--why is Toa Norik's mask a Pehkui while it looks like a Kiril? I know the exact answer to this: (This isn't from Greg)
2Although the real-life reason behind this is probably because LEGO didn't have enough cash to create a new mask for Norik like they did for Iruini, the storyline-based reason is:
3The Toa Hagah are an elite group of Toa. They existed slightly earlier than the Olda. They were guards for the BoM and wore silver and gold armour and masks which honours past heroes, which are actually are Turaga, not Toa. Toa Norik and Toa Iruini and the other Toa Hagah wear gold and silver masks which are shaped to look like the masks those Turaga wore in their honour. Toa Norik is wearing a Pehkui which is shaped like a Kiril because the Turaga he is honouring wears one. The reason why Norik can't be honouring a Toa is because Toa wear great, not noble masks like that Kiril. Iruini and the other Toa Hagah also shaped their masks differently to match those whom they honour.
4This is a pretty good reason the story team cooked up for Norik's mask problem.

3Sounds good to me. Although I believe Iruini's mask is actually in the shape of a great mask (it is still honoring a past hero, but Norik's past hero would have been a Turaga, while Iruini's would have been a Toa).

1Come on guys, this isn't the place to argue about Kanohi--try the Collectibles forum or something. Here's another batch I got from Mr. Farshtey:
GregF
21) How do the Hagah's Rhotuka shields work? a. Norik generates two, fires one, places the other one on the launch pad, and fires that one. b. Norik generates two and fires them both at the same time. 31) Normally, they are fired one at a time, but remember he does not have to "place" one anyplace -- it is energy controlled by thought, so he can move it by his will. 42) If the answer to 1) is a., how would the Hagah go about transferring their Rhotuka from their shield to their launch pad? 52) Again, by thought - this is energy, they are not objects. 63) Are you saying that Keetongu normally doesn't have a Rhotuka at all? 73) I am saying his Rhotuka power is whatever power he absorbed last, providing he has not launched a spinner since then. 8Right. But what if he has? Then if he fires another one, what's it do? 94) Say that Sidorak and Roodaka both fire Rhotuka at Keetongu (Sidorak fires first) and he absorbs them both with his shield array and fires a Rhotuka of his own. What is the Rhotuka's power? a. Sidorak's, b. Roodaka's, or c. both of them 104) If he absorbed Sidorak's first, it's Sidorak's. 11Then what happens to Roodaka's? 12Greg

13Oh, and BTW Khote, I didn't actually ask Mr. Farshtey the questions you posted, but I can tell you a few answers myself:
Khote
14-Related to WotV, when the Toa are in the ladder fighting the Lohrak, some Vahki traps Nokama. My question is, those Vahki were normal ones or the new ones? They were flying, so my guess is that they were old ones. 15They are new ones--all surviving Vahki are (I asked Mr. Farshtey a question related to this one, and that's what he said). 16-So, you already created a story about Toa Nidhiki for the Encyclopedia? Because I keep hearing the whole thing about the war between Toa/DH, and all... 17Well, we know that Nidhiki was one of the Eleven Toa (along with Lhikan) who came to Metru Nui to fight the Kanohi Dragon (I believe that story's in the Rahi guide). And we know that Nidhiki was a Toa during the Toa-Dark Hunter War (all of which took place on Metru Nui; also note that Krekka was not a DH at this time). Finally, we know that Nidhiki's turn from Toa to Dark Hunter is covered in the Encyclopedia. Hope this helps. 18-Are there different sizes for the Battle Rams? Are they used with other purpose than frightening? 19Oohnorak have been known to have been used as living battle rams when the mechanical ones are not available (see Oohnorak's bio). And I'd imagine that Battle Rams are built to do what battle rams did here on Earth--ram (and hopefully smash) walls and gates. 20-What is that thing looking like a blue Visorak with tentacles in one of the playsets (Tower of Toa, I think)? 21Most likely a Kahgarak. I'm guessing here, though. 22-The little thing with a golden Kraahkan in Tower of Toa, is a Kahgarak, and it's still there? 23I'm pretty sure that's a Kahgarak too (there are about a half-dozen types of Kahgarak, differentiated by body color--size and powers are the same), but I don't get the second part of your question. 24-How do you write the name of the Mask of Shadows? 25KRAAHKAN. 26-Did Roodaka actually saw makuta frozen in solid proto, or she just heard him? 27I believe that it is stated that Makuta communicated to Roodaka via telepathy. I don't know any more. 28-We will see how Makuta gets free in B3? I thought that it would be in BA #10, but it will be cool to see it in the movie. 29I believe that we will.

30I also asked Mr. Farshtey about the Rhotuka powers of the things you mentioned and a few more (Protocairn, etc.), but he hasn't responded yet...

1I asked GregF two questions...

21. Do the Toa Metru have elemental powers? I have looked, but not once in the comics, books, or movies have they used them. I understand that it may be because of inexperience, but the toa olda used there elemental powers almost instantaniously after they emerged from the capsules.
32. Where were the toa before they arrived on Matu-Nui? I have heard that they were in there capsules waiting for there call, but how come they remember a little bit from there past?

4Hey Sinatu,
51) Yes, they do, but I understand your confusion. For reasons that kind of escape me, the moviemakers decided not to do elemental powers in the movie because they wanted to focus just on mask powers. But the Toa Metru do use their elemental powers in BIONICLE Adventures 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7, prior to becoming Toa Hordika, as well as in the Jan-May comics last year. 62) They actually remember very little of what went before -- what they did remember tended to be very dreamlike. Where they may have been before the canisters and how long they were in the canisters has not yet been revealed.

21) The Toa Hagah never fought the Visorak at all (while they were Toa Hagah), correct? 31) No, incorrect 4Well, that's news to me: 52) The six Rahaga comprise the entire group of Toa Hagah, correct? 62) Yes 7Just checking... 83) Did Nidhiki have any involvement with Visorak at all? 93) Yes and no. He was never in charge of them or anything, he was at one time loosely allied with them along with other Dark Hunters - you will see that in the July comic. 10Another reason to get the July comic:

Lhii the matoran hero traitor
1what do people mean by the connection between makuta and roodaka does it mean they are in love or something. question to the members not greg

2There'll probably be more information about the connection between Makuta and Roodaka in the Official Visorak, Roodaka, and Sidorak Topic .
3BTW Jabbadeep, I think most of the people discussing the Kiril/Pehkui understand that Toa Norik wears it to honor a past hero, like the rest of the Toa Hagah wear special masks to honor past heroes. The discussion is about why TLC couldn't have used one of the older Great Mask molds to create a mask for Toa Norik, so people don't get too confused. Nonetheless, I think that discussion may be going on in the Official Rahaga Topic , so it would be best not to continue it here.

21) Do Tahu and co. remember the Brotherhood of Makuta? 31) Since there is so little official info on Tahu and company's pasts, I don't feel I can answer this. 42a) How many Sentrakh are in existence? 52a) One 62b) How many Zivon are there? 72b) One, that we know of so far 82c) Kahgarak? 92c) Several 102d) Voporak? 112d) One 123) Can you give us the name of The Shadowed One's staff and its power (and possibly his Rhotuka power as well)? 133) Not yet, no 144) How long does a Kahgarak Rhotuka portal to the darkness dimension stay open? 154) Not long -- 10-20 seconds, tops 165) Have the Toa Hagah worked with Lhikan, Nidhiki, Toa Dume, or anyone like that? 175) No 186) What can you tell us about the Toa Hagah's relationship with Makuta, Sidorak, and Roodaka? 196) I can tell you to read the July comic and find out 207) Do Kahgarak have powers besides their Rhotuka? 217) Not that we have seen thus far 228) Where were the Toa Hagah mutated into Rahaga (or, if they were mutated in different locations, where were Iruini and Norik mutated)? 238) On another island 249) When they were mutated, what happened to their... 25-Rhotuka shields? 26-Armor? 27-Masks? 28-Spears (I'm assuming that these were turned into their Rahaga staffs)? 299) Their shields became their launchers, their tools because their staffs, their armor is still there as their body's metallic shell, and their masks ceased to exist like the Hordika's did and became their faces.

1I have a question or three:
21) Since Turaga Dume has the mask of regeneration, does that mean that he can regenerate himself, other things, or both?
32) In the comics, why does Vakama always have his disk launcher upside down on his back?
43) When the original Toa (Tahu & co.) put their masks together, it formed gold masks that had all 6 powers combined. Could that be done with any multiple masks?

5Thanks:

61) No, regeneration power only works on inanimate objects, not living beings. 72) Cause that is how Randy draws him, I assume because that is the way his model is constructed. 83) Not to my knowledge, no. They got the gold masks because they were destined to.

1QUOTE 2Hi Greg. Some annoying questions about Rhotuka on the way...
31) The big gold thing that Iruini has and Silver thing that Norik has. Is it a sheild or a Rhotuka launcher?
4ANSWER: Rhotuka launcher.
52) How can we tell the difference between a natural Rhotuka/launcher and a artificial one?
6ANSWER: Basically, you can't.
73) Can artificial ones be picked up by say, Norik, and have the power changed?
8ANSWER: A spinner's power is determined by the person launching it, not whether the launcher is natural or artificial. Type of launcher makes no difference to the spinner power.
94) Can characters with natural launchers use articifial Rhotuka?
10ANSWER: There is no such thing as an artificial spinner. Spinners are wheels of energy generated by the user. They are not physical objects that can be manufactured.
115) Which characters have Natural and which have artificial launchers?
12ANSWER: Roodaka, Sidorak, Toa Iruini and Toa Norik are the only characters we have shown with artificial launchers.

136) Can you put these groups in order of existance: 14Toa Hagah 15Toa Dume`s group 16Lhikan and Nidhiki`s group
17ANSWER: I am working on a BIONICLE timeline now, so will hold off answering this for now.
187) Does Iruini`s mask honour Toa Nidhiki???
198) Does Norik`s mask honour Turaga Dume?
207-8) That info does not exist, but I can tell you that Iruini's mask does not honor Nidhiki.
219) What is the true shape of the Kanohi Pekhui (sp?)?
22ANSWER: Since it does not exist in plastic, I can't answer this.
2310) Is the Vahi gold at the moment? (Post MOL)
24ANSWER: No, it's orange.
2511) Why did LEGO release the Toa Hagah if they have no real storyline importance (During the current time frame). Unless they do...
26ANSWER: Because they are part of the origin story of the Rahaga. The entire July comic is about them. So they do have storyline importance in that sense.
2712) Does Comic 24 have a title yet?
28ANSWER: Shadow Play
29Thanks, and in my opinion, it`s proball best if we don`t have new Toa next year. Unless it was like a one of. The Toa are losing their uniqueness and specialness with each one released.
30ANSWER: That is a fair comment -- but what you have to realize is a) we have to have a certain number of sets out every year in order to generate enough sales ot keep BIONICLE going andgood guys sell better than bad guys in the action figure market (which is why you can find 200 Batman figures, but hardly any of his bad guys). The only year we did not do new Toa, 2003, would have been a disaster if the Rahkshi had not sold as well as they did. Doing just bad guys in a year is a huge financial risk. You also have to realize that new fans come into BIONICLE every year who don't have all the old Toa, so the new sets are unique and special to them. Most BZPers have been with BIONICLE for some years, which makes them an important group for us, but they are also older than the average BIONICLE fan and have way more sets than the average BIONICLE fan.

12003 would have been a disaster? Really? I thought that it was great (excepting the Bohrok-Kal, of course).

1I, too find that statement hard to believe. Greg thinks that it would have been a disaster? The set layout that year, (12 canister sets, 6 small, and 3 large box sets,) has been used ever since. It seemed to me that that year they would have done fairly well even without the Rahkshi.

2I doubt it. You might remember, that year Rahkshi were IT. They were the be-all end-all of cool, the ultimate toy from Lego. The other sets were either recolors (Kal) Too small to be of much intrest (Matoran) Or just generic larger sets.

3In addition to that, Rahkshi introduced us to bending knees in Bionicle set, so that was a very important innovation. 4Also, 2003 was the first year to have a Bionicle movie, which was also fresh and interesting at the time.

5I really doubt that they had to 'cook something up.' If they made a new mask for Iruini, they could just as easily have made one for Norik -- I'm almost positive that they had decided Norik should have an old mask before they designed the sets.
