1"When they learned to tame the Gukko birds, Le-Matoran replaced all of their former mounts with them."

2I don't think that's the way it works. For legal reasons, names were dropped and changed, but I believe in MOL times, all types of bird mounts were used to one extent or another. (I'll describe them physically since the names = confusion.) I'm sure the Le matoran still ride the medium-sized bird (that's always pictured backwards) from the Master Builder Creature Kit thing, and the big-hawkui-jaga-combiner, and the huge-hummingbird. The hummingbird wasn't in the Mnolg cuz Lego hadn't invented it yet, and they came up with it to sell a new set with MOL. I have trouble believeing they put their hawks out to pasture because they learned how to tame hummingbirds, all in a matter of months.

17. I'm sure this has been asked before, but what exactly does a Kahgarak look like? I know its powers, but what of its appearance? 27) Depends on where you are. If you are in Europe, you have already seen one in the January Club magazine. If you are in the US, I believe there was one in the March comic, and will be in the May comic as well. 3Wait a sec: I'm pretty sure there were no giant Visorak in any comics I've read: Must check...

4The thing that Nuju and Kualus are facing at the end of the March Comic is a Kahgarak. 5And here's a picture of one.

1Those are really good points, Gaaki. You're probably right on the Sentrakh one.
2And yeah, Mr. Farshtey's really good. Now we'll be left to scratch our heads and argue over the "loss" until December...

4Yeah, but as long as I know his powers, I'll be happy, it's not like I'll get the books here in Australia. :(
5Anyway, I wonder how many Brotherhood members there are...

1And my guess for the new guidebook... hmmm... Dark Hunters? A May Dark Hunters contest would be AWESOME and a Dark Hunters Guide would be amazing. *keeps fingers crossed*
2He left no comment, which may be saying something in itself. :D

3I asked him before and he said he couldn't answer that. Dark Hunters was my guess too. How else could you have 35 winners? :)

1QUOTE 2Hi, i saw a comment on how the builder guys were working on 2007 sets allready..so how much of the story do you have planned/know at the moment?
3also, i was wondering how long the bionicle team knew about Metru Nui. Did they know from 2001 or 2002?
4have you seen any of the 2006 or 2007 sets? will we be in awe?
5Also, you commented that the first Bioncle 2006 book was due in May; what did you mean by that?
6Finally, could you give us any tiny hints/ quotes from book 10?

71) 2006 is written, 2007-2008 are outlined. 82) We started planning Metru Nui in late 2002 and 2003. 93) Yes, I have seen the 2006 sets, and they are very cool. 104) The manuscript is due May 30th for a Jan. 2006 publication date. 115) I have already given out a lot of those this week, don't really want to give out more right now

#3726
1Excellent: So the Toa Nuva travelling to metru Nui will be a blast:
#3727
1Yeah: I can't wait to see Tahu and co. in swingin' action again: I mean, in '04 and '05, the Nuva never got any action, so it seems like Tahu has grown more contemplative--I'd love to see how he handles sticky situations now:
2And y'know, Gaaki, as a matter of fact, Sentrakh DOES use his (yes, it's a "he"--wonder why) powers in BA #10...:

1Simple Questions, simple anwsers.
2Just a few Questions.
31. Before becoming Hagah, were Norik Iruini and the others 1 team or did they originate from different teams? (Bit of the Idea of Lhikan teaming up with the toa Metru if he still would have been a toa.) 42. The way Roodaka handles the swarm deminishes there numbers at an exelerated rate (throwing them off of buildings and such). Can they replace those losses in any way? like summoning Visorak who have stayed behind on other islands as backups or bring new ones into being. 53. Any info on Voporak you can give that isn't known yet?
6Thanks for you're time. 73804

81) Most likely they were one team. 92) She isn't killing hundreds a day -- she is killing a few here and there. Visorak generally do not stay behind to garrison former islands, there is no need to -- there's nothing left moving around on those islands. And Sidorak and Roodaka do not have the means to create new Visorak. 103) No

#3729
1It might be a "the third faction" guidebook but I'm siding with a Dark Hunters one too. Like Gaaki said, it's a real shame we haven't got anything past the Chronicles in Australia. :(

1Halo~: sorry to interupt you: 21. Can matoran be hordika after the effect of venom? 32. do the botherhood of makuta and DH are on the same side? 43. Where did DH wars happened? i metru nui, is there any matoran? 54. What did nidhiki and krekka receive when doing job for 'dume'? 65. will the shadow give a revenge to makuta when he know makuta kill his 'brother's? 76. is makuta free and fight with keetongu in BA 10? 87. when and where did rahaga herad of keetongu? 98. When will we know more about bionicle 3? it's already april: 109. Will 2006 products use spinner or a new playthings? 1110. When will the lego theme bionicle set start to sell?
12Thank you:)

131) Yes 142) The DH work for the Brotherhood -- they are on their side when they are paid to be 153) Metru Nui 164) They didn't receive anything because Makuta killed them before they were paid 175) Follow the story and find out 186) Yes 197) Has not been revealed yet 208) I have no idea, Miramax decides when to release info on the movie, not LEGO. Remember, you are still six months away from the movie release -- most movie theaters are showing trailers for summer movies, not October movies, at this point 219) We try not to repeat the same thing two years in a row 2210) Summer

1When I read Makuta's set bio in the Set Database, something came across my mind...
2Is the Great Barrier to Mata Nui the same as the gateway to Metru Nui that Takutanuva opened in Mask of Light?

3Basically, yes. The Great Barrier is a huge rock wall that surrounds the ocean around Metru Nui. One small part of that barrier was the gateway Takutanuva opened at the end of the Mask of Light.

4Just thought it would be interesting to the people who are curious.

1Me neither. I don't think anybody knew that. Great idea, Mobzural:
2Here are a LOT more, mostly on BA #8.
GregF
31) How long after the Matoran's arrival on Mata Nui did their memories get erased? 42) In page 5, Roodaka mentions "...traveled to a star of which even Mata Nui never dreamed." What's she talking about? 53) Why didn't Krahka become Roodaka when she was fighting Roodaka? 64) According to p. 37, Roodaka knew that a Ko-Matoran carved the names of those supposed to be Toa. The obvious question here is, how did she know? 75) In p. 48, some rebellious Roporak are mentioned. Will we ever find out what actually happened to them? 86) In p. 52, we find that the Hagah thought that they had defeated an enemy. That enemy was Makuta, and the battle left him weakened and in his "Turaga" state that we find him in in LOMN, right? 97) Will we find out more info on Onewa's Makuta tablet (exact wording, perhaps)? 108) Did Lhikan know of Krekka before the events of LOMN? 119) In p. 84, Kualus shouts "Invisibility." What's that supposed to mean? 1210) In p. 90, it says "Visorak" from the Vahki's point of view. Does that mean that the Vahki know of the Visorak? 1311) In p. 92, how did the Vahki turn to stone? Does the Boggarak's hum turn things into stone too (as seemed to be implied)? 1412) In p. 120, it says something about 50 or 60 Visorak emerging from the hundreds in the tower. But I thought that there were only hundreds of Visorak...? 1513) Does Roodaka believe in Keetongu? 1614) According to the BIONICLE Guide, the Turaga are the oldest in their villages. Is this necessarily true? 1715) Could you please give us a listing of general Visorak loyalties? (i.e. Vohtarak are fiercely loyal to Sidorak, Boggarak to Roodaka, Keelerak to Sidorak (I think)...) 1816) Zivon can spit venom (p. 114 of BA #8), right? 1917) Are you ever going to give Zivon's true name (p. 106 stated that he didn't)? 20--- 211) I am guessing 50-100 years, off the top of my head. 222) She is simply being creative. What she is basically saying is that the Toa Metru should have run and hide ... it's like if someone here says, "You should go hide on the moon." As for the Mata Nui reference -- well, he's Mata Nui, he knows every star in the heavens and why every breeze breezes and every drop of rain falls, right? 233) Cause I thought that would be kind of dull -- I had sort of done that with her already in #3 244) Because the Ko-Matoran are the seers, so they are the ones who read messages in the stars. 255) Probably not. 266) Yup 277) I don't plan on that, no 288) Good question. Offhand, I would say no -- Nidhiki was not yet a DH during the Toa-DH war, and neither was Krekka, so I can't see why Lhikan would ever have met him. 299) Basically, that means I screwed up in that section :) 3010) Since there was a small amount of info on them in the Archives, including their name, and Vahki never forget anything, they would have known what they were. 3111) Transmutation, yes 3212) Changed my mind. 3313) Probably not 3414) Oldest in terms of experience and wisdom, yes. That guide was written very much from the perspective of how Matoran knew things to be -- and at that point, no one knew they had been Toa before, including the Toa Nuva. So to them, it would seem the Turaga were considerably older than the Matoran around them. 3515) Basically, the Boggarak are more loyal to Roodaka than the Sidorak, because they are part of her personal guard. All the rest are more loyal to Sidorak. 3616) Yup 3717) No. After all, how would anyone find it out? For example, we named the rhino the rhino -- how do we know what its name is to itself? Since we can't talk with him, we can't find out what it really is. And Zivon isn't much of a talker anyway.

2No, that turns them to dust, not stone. And I would expect that there is very little moisture to be found in a Vahki. Beside, Greg said it was the transmutation power.

1You remember the two most random sets of this year? Toa Norik and Toa Iruini? Why them out of all 6 of the Rahaga? Why do their masks look so eerily familiar? Well, now it all makes sense: They're really Dume and Nidhiki.
2The original idea for those models was that they would be Toa Nidhiki and Toa Dume -- this was scrapped when Bob decided he might want to tell a larger story about those characters someday, so he did not want them out this year. So we decided the next best thing to do is make them Toa Iruini and Toa Norik so we can tell the Rahaga origin story.
3LEGO pieces are often variations on previous ones, for the simple reason that creating whole new molds everytime you want to do something gets ridiculously expensive and would drive the cost of the sets way up.

6While I think that's terribly intresting...I'm a little angry at Lego now, because they were thinking about giving Toa Dume a Noble Kirl...rar, I think I'll go bite off someone's head now. *chomp*
#3739
1yeah, if it was going to be a TOA Dume, I'd be pretty mad too if he had a noble version. unless, because they scrapped the idea, and made Dume into Norik, they never finished the great version of the Kiril. it would have made a pretty interesting story though if they went into Toa Dume and Toa Nidhiki. aswell as the Toa Hagah.

1Hi. Just three:
21. Is the Red Star Mata-Nui's spirit star?
32. Is the Red Star Makuta's (or any of his Brothers) spirit star?
43. Are all of the members in the BoM the exact same? I know they're all individual characters, but do they all talk, act, and think like Makuta? Makuta "clones", if you will. (I use the term lightly.)
5Thanks: How's BA 10 coming along? I'm definitely going to get it, and I'm really hyped up that you're talking about the DH base. I'm all for new worlds:
6-TBOM-

7BA #10 is done and with Scholastic.
8Unfortunately, I can't answer most of your questions. The red star is not a topic I am allowed to discuss. I can tell you that the other members of BOM are not in any way clones or doubles of the Makuta you know. They are all individual characters.

9Well, that disproves a theory.

21) Comeback on question #4--what I meant was, How did Roodaka know that the Ko-Matoran looked up the names of the Toa and wrote them in, and that the Ga-Matoran covered the names over? How would she have known, since (I'll bet) she was elsewhere at the time? 32) Krahka turned into a gaseous Rahi to escape the Great Temple in BA #8. Is that gaseous Rahi the same kind that captured the Toa Metru in BA #3? 43) Do the Turaga know Tahtorak's question, or its answer? 54) Does the Zivon's stinger have venom inside (like actual scorpions on Earth)? 65) During the Krahka-Roodaka fight in the beginning of BA #8, when Krahka turned into Toa, she only turned into Toa Metru (no Toa Hordika), right? 76) For the sake of argument--why didn't Krahka just turn back into a Vohtarak and launch a burning spinner at Roodaka?

81) Logic. Ko-Matoran would be the ones who would divine who was meant to be Toa. But Ga-Matoran maintain the Great Temple and would never allow Ko-Matoran to go in and scratch out names. So they had to have done it themselves. 92) Nope 103) No and no 114) Probably not 125) Yes, because she had not encountered the Toa Hordika at that point. 136) Do you really think that would have stopped her? Roodaka could (figuratively) eat Visorak for breakfast, and no doubt Krahka had seen her dismember a few when she was in a bad mood. A Visorak form would be useless against her.

3They did not come from Metru Nui, I can tell you that much. As for when you will learn where they did come from, I have no idea when we will get to that story.

4I wonder where they came from?
#3744
1On the subject of this topic... do you see the holes of the suns of Metru Nui as open air, or with some sort of transparent covering? Denarr has pointed out that before Lake Naho covered the one, rain may have fallen down to Metru Nui if it was open air, but there's no "water" water in Metru Nui, so that must not have happened. Fair assessment?

2Since Lake Naho has not drained down into Metru Nui, there has to be some sort of impediment to that happening.

23. Are there any plans to bring the Mana-Ko into the story? 33) Not that I am aware of, no. If it showed up anywhere, it would be in the books, because it is hard to get stuff into the comic based on sets we are no longer selling.

31You know how in the set of Makuta, his hands are masks of light, or avohkii, in the storyline, or "real life", are his hands actually masks of light, and if they are, can he use their power?
42. Can Makuta use the Mask of Darkness, or Kraakan, even though the mask isn't in "toa form"?
5Thanks for your time:

41) Vakama said that "shortly before Lhikan was captured," he received an order for airship controls. So how did that tie in with his Vahi order from "Turaga Dume?" Did he put aside the Vahi to make the airship controls and come back to the Vahi later or something? 52) Gaaki says that the Gate Guardian "should not exist." What does this mean? 63) And as a confirmation (don't want to browse the OGDT ), is the Gate Guardian a Rahi? 74) If I may ask a personal question (this goes on my BIONICLE Books topic)...exactly what is your official title at LEGO Shop@Home? 85) And just curious...you mentioned writing story bibles for two other LEGO themes. Could you please tell us what they are? (I'm guessing Knights' Kingdom [whoever did KK for '04 did a pretty good job, although I liked Metru Nui better and Dino Attack...)
91) I am sure he was working on the Vahi and then taking breaks to work on other things, then going back to it, the way most people do with a project that is really difficult. Sometimes working on something else clears your head. 102) Means it is a crime against nature. 113) Yes 124) I don't have an official title connected to SAH.
