1No interesting wuestions this time:
2Well, Greg, I'd like to take the time to thank your for answering my questions.
31. Did you ever notice Mata-nui (Island) looks like a face? Cause if you look, the Ko and ga )(and ta) area is like the nose Eye section, and Le is the mouth (sorta)? (and it's the same upside down)
42. Does this have any Story line signifigance (SP?)?
53. If it does can you tell us anything else?

6Nope, not something I ever noticed.

#3762
1Hmm. That's not something I ever noticed either.
2But you know, from what I've read throughout BZP, both Nidhiki and Krekka will be in the July comic. And while Iruini doesn't believe in Keetongu (and the other Rahaga don't or do as well, less strongly), Sidorak doesn't believe in Keetongu (which is good, otherwise you'd have Visorak searching all over for him). Neither does Roodaka.

1I just recieved an answer from a PM that I sent yersterday:
2Mr. Farshtey, 3I have some questions about the Brickmaster subscriptions: 4What is going to be done when the first year of subscriptions are up and people want to keep getting the magazine?  Is there going to be a cheaper one-year renewal fee with no welcome kit, just the sets and magazines, or would the person have to get a totally new one-year subscription with a welcome kit with new stuff, or is it somthing else?
5Thanks, 6:smileonewa: :l: ~ :a: :smileonewa:

7Hi,
8At this point, the plan is to have subscribers renew for another year with most likely a different kind of welcome package -- but just what kind has not been decided upon yet. It would be part of a special renewal offer.

10I Hope this helps someone, :D 11:l: ~ :a:

1Hey: I found Sentrakh's powers:
21) I think this has been asked, but if an inanimate object hit Keetongu's shield, can he launch a Rhotuka with the same amount of force?
31) Arguably, yes.
42) Can you tell me Sentrakh's powers?
52) Illusion, darkness, molecular transmutation, mind wipe, and his spinner power is dematerialization.
63) Can Makuta/Stage 7 Rahi Control Rahkshi control Visorak/Keetongu?
73) Visorak, yes, Keetongu would be more difficult.
84) Can Roodaka poison beings by scratching them with her claw?
94) No.
105) Oohnorak is pronounced OOH-No-Rak, right?
115) I pronounce it OOH-nor-rack, myself.
126) Sidorak's herding blade is basically a way to communicate with Visorak without speaking. But can he control them with it?
136) No.
14Thanks in advance:

15See answers above,

17Not bad, eh?

1Amazing: :o Greg replied my PM in 5 (yes, five) minutes: Here you go:
21. Are the all-new '06 villains the creators of the exo-toa?
31) No
4Man, I thought about that so for so long, since he said the creators will have a role in 2006... and then I thought it might be those new characters since we haven't met them yet...
52. The backstory of the Mask of Light... I guess it's going to be in the Encyclopedia?
62) It will be mentioned there, but it should be on BIONICLE.com well before the Encylopedia comes out.
7Great, that means we'll get the info in around... July? Oh well...

1Nuurakh Lord, if you see a post you are unsure of you should either report it or PM the poster for clarification - your post will only lead to another off-topic reply.
2While doing some Bionicle Sector 01 research I stumbled across an old video clip from the original MNOG. It depicted a cave of infected Koli balls guarded by a Nui-Jaga and with Makuta's trademark Hau on the wall. Was this a MNOG liberty, or did Makuta really have a cave in Po-Wahi where he infected things? It would make his lair in Po-Metru from this year a nice little homage, especially since both were later encountered by Toa of Stone.
3Thanks a lot - we're assembling a nice big map and location guide, and your help is infinitely appreciated. I also hope to see more mini-contests in the future. It's wonderful being able to interact with the storyline so much, and it really gets people engaged.
4-Pekel :)

5The existence of the cave is accurate, but I doubt Makuta was actually doing the infection there. I don't see him as traveling to the surface of Mata Nui during that thousand years.

6Okay. So did Rahi carry them to the cave, where Ahkmou then brought them to the village?
7Thanks again: ^_^
8-Pekel

9Possibly, also possible Ahkmou went and got them himself

10Poor Ahkmou - going to the cave alone was a lot of walking...
#3773
1Poor Ahkmou?: Serves him right:
2Also, Pekel, I was wondering what you meant by "we're assembling a nice big map and location guide"--does that mean that you're doing some more stuff on BZP or BS01?

1Remember that I have my own encyclopedia I've been writing since 2001, so not all of my work is done for you guys. :P I'm not promising anything now. Maybe the map will get on BS01 or BZP, but at this point it's just for me. Both BZP and BS01 work is largely classified.
#3776
1Okay, Pekel. Don't forget to keep checking the Official Sets Database Topic--I have updated it quite a few times.
2Couple more from Mr. Farshtey:
GregF
31) Do you think Ihu died of old age (technically, one can't die of old age) or was killed? (Just an opinion here.) 42) Will the fact that the Visorak work for the Brotherhood of Makuta play a role in future storyline?
51) I already know how Ihu died -- he died in a chute accident. 62) No idea. Probably depends on how popular the Visorak wind up being and how much demand there is to bring them back.
7Greg

81) Hmm. I thought I knew that too--do they really mention that in BA #6? 92) Well, BZP, what do you think of this one?

10jetslandingboard :silver:

1ok, some thoughts on some of the answers......nidhiki saw the exo toa, hmmm...that brings some questions, and answer some others
2and about Ihu diying in a chute accident ,didn't know that one

3that's it, for now...
#3778
1A few answers GregF gave me, changed to make it easier to read.
21. Is Tahtorak's island in the same immediate sea of Protodermis as Metru Nui, or is there some sort of barrier/waterway/subterrainian tunnel separating the two? 31) No, it is not in the same area
42. Did all of the Visorak's work occur beneath Mata Nui, at Metru-Nui-level? 52) Beneath, to my knowledge
63. Are there any Rahi that we should know about that didn't make it up to Mata Nui? 73) A lot of Rahi never bothered to go to Mata Nui.
84. How do the suns of Metru Nui rise and set? 94) Can't answer it
105. Would Makuta be able to fire Rhotuka because he could shapeshift a launcher? 115) Arguably, yes
126. Did all of the Rahi on Mata Nui get rebuilt when the Matoran did, like Pewku? 136) No. The Matoran's rebuilding was something they did themselves, it was not an island-wide phenomenon
147. The Kahu became Gukko, right? 157) We did, at one time have a bird in the story named Goko-Kahu -- we are not allowed to use the term anymore, so they became Gukko
168. If 2 is yes, why did the Turaga change their name from Gukko to Kahu when they came to Mata Nui? 178) They didn't. We did, and now we aren't allowed to use the term "kahu" anymore.
189. Were the Gukko on Metru Nui (like in BA #8 ) in the Nui Jaga form or the Jaller & Gukko form? 199) I have no idea what Nui Jaga form you are referring to -- Nui Jaga are scorpions
#3779
1For question 9, I think that you shouldn't try to ask him again--the sets are the sets, and the creatures should stay the same. In essence, the "Nui-Jaga form" and the "Jaller & Gukko form" are supposed to be exactly the same.

1In essence, the "Nui-Jaga form" and the "Jaller & Gukko form" are supposed to be exactly the same.
2jetslandingboard :silver:

3I never believed or liked that. I understand the term is no longer alowed. But giant hawk things are now suppossed to have been pansy-gian-mutant-hummingbirds? Just because the name had to go doesn't mean the "nui jaga form" had to as well. They should just call it something different..... Some people argue "Takua said he'd been a second on one, even though he was a second on the HAWK so they must have never existed." To that I say... If a guy were to say to me "Be a pilot on my B-52 on this game" and I'd been a gunner on a B-17, it would still make sence to say "Well I've been a gunner but not a pilot." .....if that silly anology made any sense at all.
4Remember they couldn't use "Tohunga" any more and we still have Matoran, *gasp* I still like to think the good Le-Matoran ride big hawks AND silly mutant hummingbirds. :)
5I do agree though, the whole issue should just be left alone since Lego doesn't want to really sort it out (since it "doesn't pertain" to the current story.) I've asked Greg before and a clear answer is impossible. Just believe what you want to.
#3781
1The "Jaller & Gukko form" is a pansy-gian-mutant-hummingbird? Don't tell them that: And I think that the two forms are about the same size, right?
2Okay, better cut this discussion and get back on topic. I'll do that.

2thanks :P but i meant maskless too, i mean statis understandable, look at what happened to 'poor' akhmou during the journey-which i do know ended-
#3784
1Well, I think that Ahkmou's mask survived pretty much intact, as did the rest of him (except for his brain...? :P). If you don't mind the spoilers (and if you do, why are you reading this topic anyway?), we know that Ahkmou was woken up by Makuta. Ahkmou had forgotten all about Metru Nui, but Makuta (un)helpfully filled him in on all the details. Therefore, even if Ahkmou was not a bad guy on Metru Nui, he sure was on Mata Nui.
2Anyhow, here are a few more things from Mr. Farshtey:
3[quoteApr 19 2005 12:03 PM(Apr 19 2005 @12:03 PM)
41) Hmm (referring to previous Ihu question)--I think I knew that too. Where'd you put it? (I'm guessing BA #6, for obvious reasons, but I'm not sure.) 52) Is the fact that Ihu died in the chute accident going to be in the Encyclopedia? 63) How much storyline (i.e. Bohrok-Kal storyline--great stories, but all jumbled) will be straightened out chronologically for the Encyclopedia? (I think I remember hearing you say that Takua's adventures will be straightened out, and the Rahkshi in MoL would have a timeline as well. Am I correct, and/or is there more?) 74) Can we have the book info for Rahi Beasts? 85) I know that Makuta may have done the "slap 'em in the spheres" trick before, so I'm just wondering: Has Makuta done mask infecting before the Mata Nui saga?
9Just a comment--I hope that the Encyclopedia has everything inside; I think that it's very interesting, how Kopaka faced a Muaka--twice, Kane-Ra, Kuma-Nui, Nui-Rama (at least in a certain picture), and all six Rahkshi. I like such nitty-gritty detail; this kind of stuff makes the story come to life for me. Keep up the good work:
101) No, that's in the Encylopedia 112) Yes 123) I didn't see the Kal storyline as being jumbled? 134) I don't have it with me right now 145) Not to my knowledge 156) The Encyclopedia will have what I can fit in -- right now, it is running long, so I am having to trim here and there.
16Greg

171) How come I knew that...? For some reason, after reading BA #6 the first time through, I was left with the impression that Ihu died in a chute accident... 182) Does one get brownie (or PE) points taken off for redundancy? 193) What do you think? I think that the Kal storyline had a lot of great mini-stories, but I can't place them in chronological order. 204) Kinloka (rats): 215) Well, at least Makuta learns new things too... 226) Oh dear...the Encyclopedia has to get trimmed: :(

2Anyway, few more:
GregF
31) For the last question #3, I had the impression that the Kal storyline was filled with interesting stories (Toa Nuva Kaita vs. Bohrok-Kal Kaita, Tahu swinging from a vine, Nokama betraying Gali, etc.), but they weren't in a specific chronological order. Have you done something about that for the Encyclopedia? 42) And also, I was just wondering: Are Takua's adventures on Metru Nui and Mata Nui in chronological order for the Encyclopedia? 53) Did Lhikan have a team of Toa before he came over to Metru Nui? 63b) If he did, what happened to them (I'm guessing that they were part of his anti-Kanohi Dragon team)?
71) No, there is no room to go into that much detail on exactly when Tahu was swinging from a vine, etc. That incident, for example, is simply covered by the fact that Tahu and Lewa teamed up to find Kanohi Nuva masks. 82) Yes, but he really had no adventures on Metru Nui 93) Yes 103b) Some stayed and were eventually dispatched on missions by Makuta/Dume .. some got bored, since so little ever happened on Metru Nui, and left on their own.

2Perhaps I can help with this issue:
tahu flare

35. a. was Ihu one of the matoran the Toa Metru rescued on their return to Metru-Nui? 4b. If so, didn't he wonder why a mountain was named after him, or did he assume that he was named after the mountain? 55) No. Ihu is dead before LOMN even starts. He died in a chute accident.

#3789
1Thanks:
2Here are a few more:
GregF
31) Did Lhikan's pre-Metru Nui team consist of six Toa (Lhikan included)? 41b) Did Lhikan's pre-Metru Nui team include Nidhiki? 52) Do we hear of the rest of Lhikan's team in the Encyclopedia (I believe that you say there's a nice scene about their departure in BA #10)? 63) If you can say--are there any playsets planned for 2006?
71) No idea. 81b) Yes 92) No, they don't exist as characters. And no, there isn't any reference to their departure in BA #10. 10 takes place after this year's movie and so well after they left. 103) No idea, have not seen anything beyond the Jan. '06 launches. It wouldn't surprise me, but I am sure it will depend in part on how this yeat's do.
11Greg

12So as we can see, Nidhiki and Lhikan have had a long history together...
13EDIT: Even more questions and answers:
GregF
141) For a comeback, I note that you never answered my last question #2. So--is there a mention of Lhikan's team departing Metru Nui in the Encyclopedia? 152) Nidhiki was one of the Toa in Lhikan's team who got bored and left Metru Nui, right?
161) I think so. 172) Nidhiki was part of Lhikan's team, but boredom is not why he left the city.

1Hi, Greg, quick question about the Bahrag's proto cage.. from this topic. I was under the impression that it was a solid cage, like the one used on Makuta in LoMN (and the web portrayal of it as liquid was incorrect); thought I heard you say that, though now I'm not so sure. King of Hyrule provided two quotes from BC #2 that seem to mean it's liquid (gel-like):
King of Hyrule the Dark Vizier
2It doesn't directly say the proto is liquid, but it says:
3'Then suddenly, the energy sizzling around the queens condensed into a gel-like substance'.
4That substance is liquid proto because we've all seen solid proto and that's harder than rock. And it can't be energized or else the queens would of dissolved(most likely). That leaves only one choice, liquid proto. And the actual bios on Bionicle.com said the queens were trapped in liquid proto. The only thing not fully correct is the flash videos, and I wasn't referring to those.
5Also there is also something in Makuta's Revenge that proves the proto is liquid, and that the queens can really talk:
6'She(Gali) was distracted by an echoing voice drifting up from the cavern below."Free us, my children:" it wailed joyfully. 7"Yes:' a second voice joined the first."Unlock this prison, my children, and set us free:" 8"The Bohrok queens," Tahu said."I'm going in". 9Without waiting for agreement, he levitated downward.Gali followed along with the other Toa.Soon she was low enough into the cavern beyond the cube, where the enormous, monstrousforms of Cahdok and Gahdok were barely visible beyond a hazy wall. 10The Bahrag soon spotted the Toa Nuva as well."You are too late:" Cahdok howled, her words slightly garbled by the mass of protodermis that was holding her hostage.'
11So there.Two quotes bones.

12Do you know what's going on there? Is this a case of the decision being made to change it after the book was already out, like with the Roodaka being Queen thing? Or am I remembering wrong? 'Cuz you've said the books are approved by the story team, so I wouldn't think this is the same thing as with the web stuff.

13Cathy did her descriptions based on the art in the comic comics, in which the protodermis looked more like energy/liquid. However, the story bible states it was solid protodermis. The difference between their cage and Makuta's is theirs was barred, not one solid piece, and his was sealed with a Toa seal.

1This is an interesting tibet of news to me:

2Hi Greg,

3This came up on the buzz.  Is it a new game about the hordika?  It looks pretty cool.  I think you either know nothing about it, or you aren't allowed to say anything about it.
4toa_metru5
5I know there are plans to do some new animations and possibly some exclusive online comics, and possibly a mini-game or two -- I have not heard anything about a full-fledged online game centering on the 2005 story.

6So maybe it's a flash movie: :o
#3795
1Hiya, Greg. :howdy: 2----
31. Can you give us a ballpark figure on how many members of the Brotherhood of Makuta there are? More than a hundred? Less than a hundred? Between 10 and 20? That sort of thing.
41) No, I can't. They don't come into the story in a big way for a few years, so I am not going to start nailing down a lot of facts and figures on them this early. Most of it has not been officially established yet.
5Bummer. At least I tried.
62. Does Zivon choose what his Rhotuka is gonna be, or does a certain part of him activate a different power (i.e., left arm activates blindness, right arm activates deafness, body activates muteness)?
72) He has three spinners, each does a different thing.
8So...option 2.
93. Since Krahka's race are naturally shapeshifters, would Visorak venom have an effect on them?
103) Good question. Offhand, I would say yes, because as was evidenced with the Toa Hordika, the mutations affect you mentally and emotionally too, not just physically.
11I don't think he's said good question/guess/whatever to me since I guessed that Tatorahk was the BA#3 Rahi... :)
124. Can Kahgarak open a Darkness portal in mid-air, or does it have to hit something first? Because if it's the latter, then any stuck in the Shadow Realm will be stuck there for a very long time.
134) Yes, Kahgarak can open a portal in mid-air. The spinner is almost like a time bomb, it has a set span of time before it "goes off" and opens a portal.
14Nice.
155. From a personal standpoint, do you think that there's a faint chance that the original movie footage where the characters were exactly like the sets be shown, be it on a DVD or on bionicle.com?
165) No. They did tests, there is not actual footage to my knowledge. My guess is whatever they did no longer exists since they chose not to go in that direction. In addition, what they did do came out really poorly because of all the flashing and wouldn't be worth seeing.
17Noooooooo::::
186. Do you know the possible price for the Rahi Guide and/or Encyclopedia?
196) Rahi Guide is $5.99. No idea on Encylopedia yet.
20Six bucks...I can afford that.
217. Does Roodaka control what she shoots with her Rhotuka turns into, or do certain beings change to certain forms?
227) Yes, she does control it
23It've been an awful big coincidence if she didn't...
248. Since Roodaka's Rhotuka power is "instantaneous and permanent," was there ever a chance that Keetongu could reverse their affliction?
258) Nope
26Blind faith...
279. Is Keetongu's "cyclops eye", in addition to being a distraction and evil scanner, does it have another purpose, like being a telescope or something?
289) No, those are its only two functions
29Oh well...
3010. One of the big topics of conversation about the third faction is whether they're good or evil. Will we learn something about this in BA# 10?
3110) Yes, you will, actually. I think you will get a pretty mammoth clue, as a matter of fact. I am hoping to get them into the story in 2006 as well, but it depends on what they let me do -- there is still a lot about '06 story that is being decided, I think.

1Here we go, Nuhrii. 2BA #10 hints of a third organization in the BIONICLE universe (presumably after the Dark Hunters and the Brotherhood of Makuta) who also want to get their hands on the Vahi Mask of Time. Surprisingly, they're content to know that it's in Vakama's hands--as long as they know exactly where it is, they're content to let it stay there. Whether they are good or evil remains a much-argued mystery to this day.
3Hope this helps. 4jetslandingboard :silver:

1Can you possibly say anything on this picture? It appears to me that it may be new Flash Movies, but I'd better not give my hopes up. 2Is there anything you can say about what it means?

3Hey R,
4A number of people have asked me about this. For the record (and you can post this, if you wish) there are any number of things planned for the web site that the image could refer to. Since I don't work on the site (it is all done out of the UK), I have no idea which one they are trying to promote. I guess we will all just have to wait until more info appears there.

6Well, that's what I have. I was hoping it'd be Flash episodes for 2005, but this will be interesting.

4I don't work on the web site, so couldn't tell you. I assume when the web producer wants you guys to know what it refers to, he will post something on the site.

1I have more answers from Greg.

21. Does Iruini's healing spinners heal their target or the Toa who launched them (Iruini)? 32. If Nuju were to charge up his spinner longer, would his target stay frozen longer? 43. What is that thing behind the Shadowed One? Is it a tail or a leg? 54. I undestand the Shadowed One doesn't use his spinner in Time Trap, but if he were, how long would the madness triggered by the spinner last? 65. How long would the numbness from an Oohnorak's spinner last?
7That's all.

81) Heals the target 92) Yup 103) It's a tail 114) Well, it is temporary, so probably a couple hours 125) Not that long -- a few minutes -- he doesn't need long, because it just to hold you until he webs you up

141. Yeesh... bad idea if it were to hit the Vissie rulers... 152. -- 163. Well, that ends the freakiness. 174. Whoa... a couple hours? 185. Oh boy... Oohnorak's a rushy one. :P
