They didn't corrupt the Matoran for their battle strategies, they did it to keep them from becoming Toa of Light.
187. I believe you said somewhere that Takanuva looks like his 2003 form, but with black armor. Yet the Makuta in DM believed him when he said he was a Toa of Light... 197) It's only partially black, if you look at the 2008 set. And if you are a Makuta, do you really want to challenge a Toa of Light to prove he is what he says he is?

12I somewhat disagree. I don't think that it should be a Makuta Phantoka with different pieces, but I would hate see some overly large and complicated MOC that the average person can't build. Since they have chosen the name the winner a main character, Miserix, it should be clever well constructed design, something that everybody can build.
