Nynrah Ghost
1Well, as my name is now "Nynrah Ghost" (from "Ultimate Vezon"), I thought I should at least find out more information about the Nynrah.
2Hello again, Mr Farshtey. Excellent work with the Mutran Chronicles, I like the subtle, but great humor in your writings. Anyway, I hope you don't mind, but I have a few other questions for you...
31) Was/is there a Makuta watching over the Nynrah region? 41a) Anyone we know? 52) Where's Nynrah's location in relation to Metru Nui? South? South-east? South-west? 62a) Does it share a dome with other islands? If yes, are they places that we know of? 73) Any chance you could reveal what other beings inhabit Nynrah? 84) How many Nynrah Ghosts are there left? A village? A city? 95) The Nynrah already acquired the "Ghost" part of their name in Mutran Chronicles 7. Can you reveal when and how they got it? 105b) If not now, when will you reveal it?
11That's all for now. Thanks in advance.

121) Yes 131a) Haven't decided 142) Everything is south of Metru Nui, because MN is the farthest northern land in the domed universe. 152a) I haven't fixed a location for it yet 163) No idea, maybe 174) A village - there were never that many to start with 185) Yes, I can. Because there aren't that many Nynrah, and they want to be left alone to work, it is very hard to find them. Normally, you have to leave your request for what you want done somewhere, and then when you come back, what you wanted is there. You rarely see them or talk to them. The exception to this was when they worked on the Makuta armor, because if the BOM says show up, you show up.

19Okay, now that you all know why they're called "ghosts", it would be much appreciated to not PM me anymore about this question.

20Cool, sad that I believed that Nynrah Ghost was something like Elite Matoran, I already writed that episode of my Epic :(

1That sucks that the Mistika Makuta Kanohi are the last ones to be revealed. Maybe he can give us the names later in the year if he gets any spare names.

1Howdy Greg, I hope you're doing well, and the move to the new house is going smoothly. 2I've just thought of a few questions... 3Some of them might be a "can't answer it", but I'm not sure. 41) During the three hundred years between the Great Cataclysm and Teridax's poisoning of Mata Nui, would you say that Mata Nui actually knew who poisoned him? 52) Would you say that Mata Nui has had his character flaw (not caring about smaller things in the Universe) for his entire life? 63) Would you say the BoM's master plan would work without the knowledge that Mutran gained from Tren Krom? Or did the knowledge just make the Plan easier to carry out? 74) Would you say that the damage from the Great Cataclysm had to be fixed to not only make it possible to awaken Mata Nui, but also to prevent further problems once he awakened? 8For example, say a man is in a coma as a result of a car accident. The doctors repair his wounds through surgery, and then use new medical technology to wake him up. However, the victim then has a heart attack after awakening, because his arteries were blocked, but the doctors failed to do anything about it. Would you say the same kind of thing applies to Mata Nui? 95) Something I'm not clear about, why did Tahu and Kopaka have to seal the volcanos on Artidax? Couldn't the Staff of Artahka taken care of the problem? Or were the erruptions not caused by the Great Cataclysm? 105a) Is it possible that Krika caused them to help imprison Miserix?
116) Just something I've been thinking about, is the purpose of the shielded walls of the Universe Core to: first, provide some protection against outside attack, second, to prevent foreign objects from entering the Core, and third, to help regulate the flow of energy from the Core? 12Am I anywhere close?
13Thanks Greg . I appreciate it. 14-Ax-

151) Yes 162) Yes 173) Would have been much harder without the knowledge 184) Yes 195) Not caused by the GC, a natural event 206) Actually, it has more to do with keeping what's inside in rather than what's outside out

21There we go, just some stuff I was wondering. Number six is rather interesting... 22:) 23-Ax-

1Hey Greg, nice ones with the recent updates to the storyline :)
21. How did the Matoran memorize Matoro? Did they build any statues in honor of him? 32. Has Nuju got another translate to subtitute Matoro by now? 43. Could the Piraka make any more appearances in 2008? In the serials, by any chance? 54. Will Voporak&Ancient's situation be solved in the future? 65. Has The Shadowed One ever left Odina since returning to it after Time Trap? 76. Why does Bitil throw a weapon to a wall when he makes a point to a conversation? Does he want to express something with it? 87. Will the Nynrah Ghosts make an appearance in 2008? 98. Should the Piraka get face-to-face with Vezon, what would they do to him? 109. What would the Order of Mata Nui do with Roodaka and Spiriah if they survive the FoF? 1110. Could Brutaka have any hope of getting in contact with Toa Ignika and plead being demutated back to his original self?

121) If they haven't, I am sure they will 132) Oh, sure 143) I don't have plans for them at the moment. Since they are water-breathers, they would have a hard time escaping from Daxia, so it may be hard to work them back in. 154) Hopefully 165) I'm sure he has at some point 176) For emphasis 187) Don't know yet 198) Not going to happen -- Vezon is not going to Daxia 209) Most likely send them to the Pit 2110) I don't see that happening any time soon, as Ignika is in Karda Nui and Brutaka will not be

228. Right, but what do the Piraka think about Vezon currently? Would they want to kill him, or... ?

23Sure they would
#2685
1Vezon already expected that non-piraka Skakdi would kill him on sight, guess what the guys he's been screwing over repeatably would do.

1Hi, Mr. Farshtey. Would you mind answering a few questions of mine?
21. You said that Kanohi were going to an intregal part of 2009 story, correct? 31a. Does this mean that we are going to see the return of mask packs or mask pack-esque items?
42. Krika's mask power is "repulsion". Does he repulse objects or do objects repulse him? 52a. If the latter, does this mean that Krika's mask power is one that is a sort of "constant effect" mask?
6Thanks for taking the time for these and countless other questions, Mr. Farshtey.

71) What I said was "the concept of the Mask of Power" will be key to 2009 -- I said nothing about their being mask packs, etc. Mask packs did not sell the first two times we did them, so I don't think there is any big push to do them again. 82) Both 92a) No

102. So would having two south pole magnets repelling each other be an adequete comparison for the mask's power?

11Yes

12Well, I was really wondering about number one...

11. Has there been any progress on the possible 'Pick the Phantoaka region' vote that I suggested last week? I know Electric Tuhrak said he was going to have Bonseiii PM you, and thats the last I heard about it. Has he contacted you and can you say yet if that's going to happen or not?
22. When did the Makuta learn their new forms allowed them to create Kratta much more easily?
33. Why were the Exo-Toa designed to inhibit the Toa's elemental powers?
44. I just want to confirm that this is right for the characters' statuses at the end of BL9
5a. Lewa, Kopaka, Pohatu, and Ignika (with Tanma, Solek, and Photok) are in the sky 6b. Mutran is being held prisoner by the 4 Phantoka Toa 7c. Vamprah, Chirox, and Icarax (with Gavla and Kirop) are on their way to the swamp to meet up with the Mistika 8d. Antroz (with Radiak) is separated from the other Makuta and is in a separate part of the swamp
95. If a Makuta's armor is pierced, but not significantly damaged, can the Makuta shape-shift so as to fix the hole?
106. Did Teridax create the Water Wraith?
117. If a Makuta can't take control over living bodies with souls, how was Teridax able to bring them under the Piraka's (and by extension, his) command?
128. Does the BoM know about the Hand of Arthaka?
139. Did Teridax or Antroz choose the Matoran that would go to the core? Also, for what reason was each one picked?

141) Yes, he did, but I have not given him a date for it yet. 152) I don't have a specific date for this 163) It was simply an unavoidable design flaw. 174) Yes, but I think you can assume that Lewa, Pohatu and Kopaka are going to immediately go after the Phantoka Makuta 185) No 196) Yes 207) Ah, but Makuta was NOT controlling those Matoran -- they would take the orders of anyone who gave them orders. If Jaller said stop, they would stop. All Makuta did was make them open to influence, he was not in command of them. 218) Yes 229) I don't understand your question. Outside of Vican and Vultraz, all the Matoran in the core were there before the Makuta ever got there.

23I meant 'Makuta' instead of 'Matoran' for number 9, I'll PM him again later about it. Also, looks like the vote for the Phantuka regions is a question of 'when' instead of 'if.'

11.Was Balta "fixed" before or after BoM rejected the light?2.Were any of the kids you spoke to at the library BZP members?3.Would you consider the surface another universe?4.What would you define as a universe in the Bionicle planet?5.If you were to refer all the sapient species of the Domiverse? Like say Earth had another sapient species other that us humans, aliens would refers to us all as Earthlings, so what would refer to all the sapient beings in the domiverse?1) Before2) Yes. IVahi, who posted the topic on BZP re: the trip, is a BZP member.3) I would consider it outside the Matoran domed universe4) When we refer to Matoran universe, we are talking about the universe inside the Matoran domes.5) No idea, not something I have worried about.1. Was the Library of forbidden knowledge made before or after Mutran's little meeting with Tren Krom?2. Is exactly the type of Bohrok and who the matoran is important to what the statue is in OoMN?3.Have you seen any theories right on how the Mistuka are stuck int heir forms? (no need to specify)4.Is there a storyline reason for why the Exo-Toa are called the Exo-Toa?5. Will the Hagah Serial tell us who won the fight between Tatorahk and Kanohi Dragon?1) Some of it was, some of it wasn't2) No. They represent all Bohrok and all Matoran.3) I haven't paid much attention to them.4) Well, stop and think -- they were designed and built before the BOM went bad, with the intent that they would be used by Toa in the event that the Bohrok ever got loose early. So why wouldn't they be called that?5) Yes

2I'm placing my bets on the Tahtorak

4Concerning the voting for the Phantoka Makuta's regions, I hope that it can be a reality. If it is, I hope Vamprah gets Xia. Don't question it, just vote Vamprah for Xia... I think it has a nice ring to it. Imagine; "Vamprah, Makuta of Xia" 5:pirate:Captain raven575 :pirate:

1For some reason, I see Antroz as the Makuta of Xia. And Greg has said his inbox is a lot emptier lately because he has had more time to work on it.

1Hello, Mr. Farshtey, I have a few questions (big surprise).
21. Could the Ignika cure someone of Hordika Venom? 32. Does Spiriah stand to gain anything if the Brotherhood's Plan works? 43. If given the opportunity, would Zaktan help the Order of Mata Nui against the Brotherhood, if only to keep their Plan from coming to fruition? 54. When you say Takanuva gets his Power Lance in a "side story," do you mean a story apart from comics, books, or serials? 65a. Do the beings living on the Red Star know they orbit a planet? 75b. Do they know that their home functions as a source of prophecy? 85c. Do they have anything to do with the Star's movements? 96a. Do you know of the Marvel Comics character Speedball? 106b. Was the Mask of Repulsion at all inspired by his powers? 117. Out of curiosity, do you have an estimate of about how many names are left on the approved list? 128. The Order of Mata Nui refrains from recruiting Toa because "they have their own destinies." So why isn't the Order of Mata Nui concerned that they're interfering with Krakua's destiny by effectively deputizing him? 139a. So, when Krika's mask is used, he effectively creates an invisible "repulsion bubble" around his body, which floats off the ground. Is this correct? 149b. Can Krika fly by controlling how hard he repels the ground? 159c. What would happen if someone tried to punch Krika and he activated his mask in repsonse (for argument's sake, let's say it was Axonn wearing a Pakari, so Krika would definitely need to dodge)? 169d. What if someone lightly touched Krika while his mask was active? 179e. When Krika activates his mask, is how he moves determined by relative weight? For example, if Krika activated his mask near a stone rat, the rat would be pushed away, but if he activated it next to a Tahtorak, he would move instead, since he was lighter? 189f. Why is this a power a Toa would feel uncomfortable using? It just seems like a variation of the Hau that repels mass instead of attacks to me... 1910. You said that we will most likely learn the Hagah's mask powers during their serial. If I may, could I request that one of them use the Mask of Possibilities? As a Scarlet Witch fan, I'd love to see it in action, and I'm sure plenty other members would too... 2011. This is kind of random, but does LEGO accept interns? What sort of stuff might they do?

211) Probably 222) No, not really 233) Would depend on what the OOMN was willing to give him in return. 244) Yes 255a-5c) Can't discuss it 266a) Only vaguely - never liked him much 276b) No 287) Only a few, and some of them are pretty bad. 298) Because they were part of his destiny, they're responsible for him becoming a Toa 309a) He always floats off the ground if he chooses to ... he decides what he does and does not repel 319b) Yes 329c) The blow would never hit him, it would be repelled 339d) Again, it is not a mask of shielding -- he chooses what is and is not repelled. 349e) See answer to 9D. 359f) Because nature itself is repelled by him, wants nothing to do with him even touching the ground 3610) We'll see 3711) Yes, we do. Normally, they are in the marketing dept., and they pretty much do whatever needs doing. For example, we have one working with Club right now whose primary job is entering the addresses of everyone who enters a Club contest into a big database.

383. But doesn't he stand to lose as much as anyone else would? Why would he be reluctant to help them help him? 397. Why is it you're limited to names on that list? For example, in MNOLGII there was an Onu-Matoran named "Mamoru," which is Japanese for "to protect." I know you said MNOLGII names were not approved by the story team, and thus were noncanon, but why? Why would names taken from other languages, even if used for random incidental characters in web content, not be legally feasible? 409d. So it's sort of like a Mask of Telekinesis that's limited to lateral uses of its power? 419f. Couldn't the same argument be made about the Mask of Telekinesis? Or is it more like entering a "void state" in which you exist separate from other things around you, making reality itself shy away from such an anomaly? Like a black hole in reverse? Is this a plausible sort of explanation?

423) Nope -- what if he went to the BOM and said, "This is what happened, I knew your plan all along and never told anyone even when I could have" and then the BOM rewards him with a position of power? 437) Because if they are not legally approved, they could be trademarked in other places, in which case our using them would be illegal. They might also have meanings in other languages we are concerned about, or refer to actual places, or have meanings in languages whose native speakers are sensitive about having used for commercial purposes. That is why any name we use has to go through extensive legal checks. As an example, we had potential 2009 names rejected because they were trademarked already by electronics or appliance companies (not even toymakers) ... use their TM'd name and they will most likely sue, the same way we would if Sony suddenly came out with the "Tahu Television" without getting permission from us. 449) In a way 459f) Telekinesis involves you moving objects with your mind. Repulsion involves objects actually pushing you away because they can't stand being around you.
#2691
1Seems like everyone's interested in Krika's mask power... So now we know all the Mistuka (I've seen that around a lot; I'm assuming it's a contraction of 'Mistika' and Makuta', and not just a frequent misspelling :P) mask powers, and everyone's sent Greg at least 3 pms about them... :P2And I'm REALLY wondering about the concept of Mask Power in 2009... is everybody else just missing this, or do you just not care? :P

3Do you mean as in the story will revolve around a mask, like this story arc did? Yes, that did cross my mind, but I thought it might be redundant to do the same thing twice in a row. I think Greg is just saying that masks are still important after this year. Maybe we're being introduced to a new species that also relies on masks of power.
4Which just made me realize why Greg used the term "Mask of power" instead of "Kanohi". Kanohi is the Matoran name for mask, and we're not in the Matoran universe next year. That, and the fact that there will be a different naming system next year leads me to believe that we will be dealing with a species that doesn't speak the Matoran language.

1Hi Mr. Farshtey, I only have one question this time,

1Hello again Mr.Farshtey, I have a few new questions for you...
21) Kojol has no affiliation with Ice right? His name haveing Ko infront is just a coincedince right? (This is probably a pretty silly question but I just thought I'd make sure)
32) How do the Skakdi feel about Spiriah? Do they resent him for mutating them or do they thank him for giving them powers?
43) At any point in time was there ever even a single Makuta that was good? They did have light at one point after all.
54) You've said before that the difference between Mutran's and Chirox's style of Rahi making is that Chirox's tend to be more useful while Mutran's are more distructive. However in BL9 Antroz states that Chirox never contributes anything to the enviroment but death, even that it is a sore spot with him, plus Chirox states that Mutran's experaments are always too small and end up gumming their prey with no teeth. It sounds the other way around to me.
65) Why was Kojol so protective of Artakha? Even so much as to keep info from Teridax?
7Thank you for your time :)

81) No Makuta has any affiliation with any element other than shadow. 92) Oh, they're not too fond of him 103) Nope - you can have light and still be a selfish, self-serving creep 114) Teeth can be useful .. so can death, in the right place. For example, let's say you have a swamp infested with lava eels (yes, I know, they don't hang out in swamps, but this is hypothetical) ... if I invent a Muaka-Phase Dragon hybrid with a mouth full of teeth to go kill all of them so they won't menace the local Matoran, I have teeth and death and have still produced something useful. 125) Knowledge is power. Knowledge shared, not so much.

131) I don't know why I even asked him that... 142) I think I would kind of be grateful to him... 153) Well...I tried... 164) But that dosn't explain why Chirox critisized Mutran for having weak creations. 175) That makes perfect sense.
#2705

1Ah, the Mistuka's masks are the last masks to be revealed in this universe, but masks shall play a key role in 09- therefore we haven't seen the last of the masks, much to popular belief after a qoute on the last page.

2Maybe all the later characters to be revealed will have masks that have been already used in past sets. But I really-really-REALLY hope the important role of the masks mean LEGO will bring back the kanohi packs and other collectibles.

31. You said that Kanohi were going to an intregal part of 2009 story, correct? 41a. Does this mean that we are going to see the return of mask packs or mask pack-esque items?

51) What I said was "the concept of the Mask of Power" will be key to 2009 -- I said nothing about their being mask packs, etc. Mask packs did not sell the first two times we did them, so I don't think there is any big push to do them again.

1Hi, Greg. A few questions for you:1 ) Is the Betrayal Contract which was given to Takadox a Brotherhood of Makuta Tablet of Transit such as the one that Vican carries in Bionicle Legends 9? They seem to be the same sort of item-- identifying for the Brotherhood that a person is someone they can trust who would normally be presumed an enemy of the Brotherhood?2a ) The Betrayal Contract is described as having the Brotherhood of Makuta insignia on it. Is this insignia the same as the one featured on the Makuta fortresses of Destral in BIONICLE WORLD (pictured here)? This information would be INCREDIBLY useful on the Wiki.2b )If yes, was this always the symbol of the Brotherhood of Makuta, or was it only implemented after Teridax's coup d'etat? I ask because it features the Kraahkan. Thanks in advance. :) These answers will probably be useful to have, if not for the wiki at least to satisfy my curiosity.
21) What was given to Takadox was not a betrayal contract -- it was a Tablet of Transit. The fact that he had one was proof he had betrayed the Barraki, because why would have have something that identified its bearer as an ally of the BOM if he hadn't?2) See answer to #1.
3I inquired again about the insignia, but I now realize that 2B at least was silly as we know Takadox got his Tablet of Transit before the coup, and it is the only one identified as having the symbol. Regardless, at least there's some new "nollij" for the wiki.

11. How did the OOMN know Krakua was destined to be a toa? 22. There has been arguement in the 2008 Sets topic, People are arguing about Disky's Makuta she entered in the Contest. Is it miserix? 33. I've been wondering about this for a while. Since Spiriah and Trimuna are sets thisd year, will they be in the final Battle?
4Thanks .

51) Same way they knew originally that Jaller was -- they read it in the stars. 62) I don't know who Disky is or what model she entered, so it's impossible for me to answer this. The winning entrant did not state in her letter whether she was or was not a BZP member. 73) Spiriah is in FOF, and Trinuma will appear in a summer serial, but neither will be in Karda Nui.

91. That clears things up. 102. I'll re-send that one. 113. Trinuma in a Summer Serial, that's new.

5Yes but not unpredictable. I mean like you said he IS a set, even if it is a combiner set, and there IS going to be a OoMN-BoM war serial. I probably could have guessed that.

1ey Greg its UYI again I just have a couple questions for you if you arnt busy.
21) If the Toa Nuva went into there own envirment would they change back into the oringal toa nuva look before the new armor?
31a) How big of an envirment change does it have to be for there armor to change for example if Kopaka was in ko metru and walked into ta metru would his armor adapt to the heat?
42) Does Mata Nui have an equal amount of light and shadow?
52a) I can understand if you cant answer these next three but has Mata Nui changed any since he has been brought back to life?
62b) When Teridax said sleep spares him pain was he talking about Mata Nui dieing?
7thanks for your time

81) Logically, they should, the problem if they get shown outside of Karda Nui in the comic, they will still look like their 2008 sets, so you will have a contradiction. 91a) It might, yes 102) Can't discuss it 112a) Can't discuss it 122b) No, Makuta was just trying to make it look like he gave a darn what was going on with Mata Nui -- like somehow keeping him comatose was a good thing -- when the fact is, Makuta was the one who CAUSED the coma and whatever pain he was in. It was all an act to try to confuse the Toa.

1Hey Greg,
21.) Is the Mask of Repulsion basically a Mask of Telekinesis and a Mask of Flight combined? (I know it works in a perverse way, but just talking about the end results.) Is there anything else about it?
3Thanks a lot .
41) Yes, there is. If I turn on the Mask of Telekinesis, I can move an object with it, but pretty much just one at a time as I focus on it and I can move it fast or slow, a little or a lot. If I have the Mask of Repulsion on, and you run up and hit me, you are going to go flying in the opposite direction at a high rate of speed, all the time. And I do not need to be focused on you to be able to make that happen, so if six Toa try to do the same thing, they are all going to go flying.

1Yeah. Third time lucky - More questions for you: 21a. Did the Nynrah Ghosts create the prototype Zamour launchers that Nidhiki and Krekka stole? 31b. If that is not correct, then who created them?
42. Will the Mutran serial cover the Toa Hagah bodyguards as well?
53. How does the Kanohi Olisil work? As in, is the alternate futures generated by the user, or are they actual alternate futures, projected by the mask?
64. Now that Takadox has made a run for freedom, what will his next course of action be?
75. Will we find out how Lesovik and Hydraxon are doing down in the Pit, or are we not going to see them again?
86. Did Vamprah create any Rahi? could you name a few if he did?
97. What will Nuparu do with the Exo Toa pieces now that he is a Toa?
108. I recall Whenua finding a Bohrok nest in one of the Mertu Nui books. Was this nest connected to the surface, or was it the Bohrok nest for Metru Nui?
119. Is Umbra going to just stay in the chamber untill the mask comes back?
12Thank you for your time.

131) Yes 142) Probably to some extent, yes 153) They are probable alternate futures, derived by extrapolating from known events 164) Try to get back to the ship and get out of there 175) I haven't decided yet 186) Yes, he did, but I don't have a list of them 197) Most likely whatever he was planning to do with them when he was a Matoran 208) There is no Bohrok nest for Metru Nui. Bohrok programming deals with Mata Nui only. But there are so many Bohrok that their nests extend to below Metru Nui, which is why there are Bohrok tunnels leading from Metru Nui up to Mata Nui. 219) That's his job.

1Hello again.
21. In Comic 24: Shadow Play, the Mountain was described as having acid-grass and the sky as raining fire. 31a. Is the acid grass a part of the Mountain or a separate plant living on it? Normally I'd guess at the second, but I'm not sure the Mountain would want anything living on it... 41b. Why's the sky raining fire? Is that a reference to the smoke and pollution on Xia?
52. In the aforementioned comic, a Vortixx with green armor was shown. We know that Vortixx all have black armor, but that one seemed to have a good deal of black as well as green. Would you say that some Vortixx may have more than just black? 62a. Is there some chance we'll hear about him in a serial?
73. If Artakha were invaded and defeated, how bad would the repercussions be?
84. Is it possible that Makuta may evolve further?
95. Is there a chance that any of the serials (Now or in Summer) will involve the island Mata Nui? I think seeing it again would please a lot of fans...
106. During the Po-Koro Epidemic, what was the "Madness" Makuta caused in everyone? Weren't the Koli Balls just infected (Kraata-style) so as to spread it to the Matoran?

111a) Separate plant 121b) Just is. That's the nature of the environment there. 132) He's green because the artist wanted the reader to be able to differentiate him from Roodaka. 142a) He's dead, there's nothing to hear. He was eaten by the mountain when Roodaka left him behind. 153) Well, the OOMN would lose access to all the equipment Artakha makes for them and the invaders would gain access to it. 164) I don't have plans for that, no 175) Don't have plans for that in serials -- it's barren rock ... BUT ... don't be surprised if you do see it again someplace in the foreseeable future. 186) Being influenced by a Makuta is akin to madness in the eyes of a Matoran

1That's interesting... It's not the location for 2009, so what could its role be? :???:
#2719
1Don't be surprised -- Mata Nui was never meant to be part of the Matoran Universe...

1I know, but it's not the location of 2009, so I'm wondering how it could show up...
