1They don't need to kill off the characters to take the storyline in a new direction. They just need to... redirect it. For example, the story team could decide to stop focusing on the Matoran race and turn to a new species. They don't necessarily need to discard the old storyline either, they could still tie in pieces from the old one into the new one.

4And that should give the designers a lot more freedom as far as sets go. For instance, we might not need a new or transformed team of Toa every year. We could finally have a different kind of heroes. This will help the Bionicle team break the mold in alot of ways.
1A few people asked Greg about getting rid of Toa for a year or two, but he always said it would be a bad idea. The Toa are the most recognizable icon of Bionicle. They're staying. Besides, remember 2003? No Toa in that year, and the Bohrok-Kal did terribly.

27That doesn't apply for me. I like Inika better, because they were far more original than Mahri, although Inika were still clones (although, we could already see that Lego is trying to do something about it. You know, Nuparu's claws, Hewki's chain etc.)

3Actually, Nocturn was released in the early part of 2007. And no, he's not a combiner -- the only combiners are the ones we build for the magazine, and we haven't built any yet.

2On another note, if the Mahri don't turn into Turaga, won't it mean their destiny isn't complete? Their destiny is to save Mata Nui's life, right? Folowing the death of Mata Nui there would be like chaos, like the colosium giving signs of falling, so could there be another Quake or somehow Mata Nui (before dieing) blasted TWTFTW to the sky for the Nuva to revive him?

3There is always the choice to give up your Toa powers if you have fulfilled your destiny. Look at the Hagah. They are still Toa.

9And the problem with your scenario is this -- Roodaka determines when she fires her spinner what she is going to turn beings into. So if you redirect that energy, all you will do is turn the Rahaga into whatever she was going to turn Keetongu into.

4I don't know that there is any sure way, no. If you want to be sure you are seeing real sets, don't hunt down images on sites like Brickshelf and Eurobricks, where people are posting their MOCs all the time. Wait for set images to show up on official LEGO sites or in BZP news stories.

The top is two different blades he holds in the same hand, the second is both connected to each other, and the third is one long weapon, though in the movie I think it was the second.
