1More goodies:
28I got back to him on 1 and 7. And I asked him myself if there was a split launch next year before, and he said yes? I guess they changed it.
29
2I have some more questions;
31) How does the race for the Avohkii tie into the storyline?
41) Not sure what you are asking?
52) How far are have you progressed in BL#1?
62) About halfway.
73) *Crosses fingers* Can you tell me if both of the canned sets next year are enemies to the Nuva?
83) I can't discuss 2006 product.
94) Will there be playsets next year?
104) Probably.
115) Since there'll be a split launch next year, I'm wondering, who will get the big sets first?
125) There is no split launch next year. Everybody worldwide gets the same things at the same time, roughly.
136) How many big sets will there be?
146) Next year? No idea.
157) Does BL#2 have a title yet?
167) Yes.
178) Will '06 have '"Hagah?" As in, will there be special edition canned sets?
188) Not to my knowledge, but those things often get done at the last minute.
199) Can you confirm that the BoM will have sets?
209) Not anytime soon.
2110) Can you also confirm that the new contest is about the DH?
2210) Yes.
23I'm so excited about 2006:
24Thanks in advance,

1What AoiJunni asked that by starting off with the thing about DC, so no, that means the BIONICLE comics will be bearing the new DC Comics logo.
1You've puzzled me here ToP . If your talking about the spelling, its the same. If your talking about the bold-ness, I bold every members name, its just something I picked up on in S&T.
1Oh... Thought that You're reminding me of His nickname. Ok we shall stop this discussion or we will went out suspended for a month...
1I am just so glad there is no split launch next year:
1Actually, it would just mean we BZPers would want to think up more things on our own...it's nice to have insider info, but it can't become commonplace, or else, well, people stop thinking. They just ask the big man on campus, Greggie. At least we could stop the endless torrent of "Greg said" that is plagueing the S&T forum...
2You have a good point there, but with no storyline info to work with, we can't form on-target theories. Basically, I'm saying that we shouldn't stop asking GregF questions, but limit it to at least 2-4 per PM. From 2-4 questions, GregF can give us some interesting tidbits of storyline that we can weave into a well-working theory.
3I'd rather a limit of ten questions period per week...that would stop some of the rather pointless questions, and maybe also eliminate all this nitpicking and start getting us to view the bigger picture.
4You're absolutely right. Think of it...nitpicking eliminated. That would be a sight to see.
1i myself only PM him once a mouth, unless somethings really bugging me.
1Here;
11I'm still not happy with #1. But I cant be bothered asking, since we'll find out shortly, anyway.
12P.S. What's wrong with split launches?

2Just getting back to you on my last batch;
31) On 1, I meant how does the new flash movie tie into the story?
41) Well, it involves the Rahaga and Hordika, so it is part of 2005 story.
52) On 7, well, can you tell me what the title is?
62) No, not yet. A lot of BZPers complained I was giving away something significant about 2006 when I shared the first title (though I don't really see that), so I am hanging on to the second for now.
7Thanks again:

14I guess people didn't like that Europeans got things before Americans...I mean, did you see BST when they came out? Like a madhouse. I know technically Europeans didn't get the Hordika yet, but I don't see a ton of "I NEED HORDIKA" topics around. 15...methinks maybe we're a bit spoiled, aye?
1Two more:
7For #2, I would have to mention that we're assuming that all members of the BoM can produce forty-two types of Rahkshi...
8jetslandingboard
21) In BA #2, when Onewa is climbing the slab and suddenly realizes that the Metru might not have been supposed to be Toa--did you put that in as a hint of '05? 31b) And if so, does the rest of it (carvers work with the tools they're given, etc.) have something to do with the mini-story? 42) All members of the BoM make identical Kraata and (by extension) Rahkshi, correct?51) Not directly -- it was more my subconscious hinting to me about the storyline. I had not at that point fully formed the idea and run it past the story team. 62) Yup -- I would shudder to have to come up with 42 more powers times however many BOM members there are

3Well Rayg, don't You think that Europeans having the sets long after America is a little bit not fair? The Split launch was not a good idea either, because it gave us all the info about the sets at one time, and now i think this year is a bit boring. The best solution would be selling the sets at the same time all around the world.
1You're absolutely right. Think of it...nitpicking eliminated. That would be a sight to see.
2There's a fine line, but most of us never cross it. Arguing some minute point over and over with Greg would be crossing it, not what goes on here. Personally, I like to know all the details, so if that's you're version of nitpicking... Besides, Greg's not complaining, he enjoys interacting with the fans. And ya don't have to read the "nitpicky" questions... And all people have to do, in order not to repeat many questions, is bookmark the topic and read what's been posted everyday, like me. There, no question limit needed.
1That's quite visable in the Subscription email, Gaaki. Anyways, I certainly hope they don't have the same name...can you imagine if the Toa ran into their clubhouse? "Makuta:" Takanuva yelled....they all turn around "Yes?" came the group reply. Takanuva, passed out from the thought of having to take on so much darkness. XP 2Orr.."Takanuva, you take on Makuta. Y'did a pretty good job at it when y'first showed up." Takanuva spoke up, "Which? They're all Makuta." Tahu repeated himself, "Takanuva, you take on Makuta..."

4I do think it's unfair, but I like how it was done this year. With one side of the world getting part of the sets and one side getting the other, you create major hype from both ends, and so when each side gets the opposite sets, they're going to be dragging down the toystores in an effort to get the sets they heard so much on. 5You'll notice I was never one to make a "I NEED VISORAK" topic, Gaaki.
The Greginator 1Hi Greg
21. How did the Rahaga come by the MoL? Would it have been while in service of the BoM?
31) That gets revealed in BIONICLE #25 in July
42. Are these the same Makoki stones as the original Flash movies from the 2001 story?
52) Yes
63. Is this going to shed light on the MoL origins?
73) The Flash won't, no
84. Are these movies a part of the official canon?
94) Yes, I wrote them
105. How long have the Rahaga been hiding on Metru Nui?
115) Oh, some years
12Greg
13Oh, and congrats on the story for these Flash movies. In short, its great. Oh, I can see S&T now...

He's not teasing future storyline regarding himself. 72) Yes 82b) Don't recall 92c) Yes, he's in the Encyclopedia

11.I seem to remember you saying Krekka and Sidorak were from the same Island. Is this true?
22.If yes to 1, then did they know each other?
33. Did Norik (since he is a Ta-being) create the MoL? And if so, is that how he came in contact with it?
45.Did Nidhiki's transformation have anything with the Bom or TSO?
51) Yes 62) Don't know. It's possible, but Krekka was sort of from the underclass, so I doubt they would have hung much. 73) No, Norik was not a mask maker. 85) Not directly.
9I didn't post 4 because it had to do with the BoMs relgion...

1Here's my batch.
21.)On the second(third, if you count the recap on the back of the cover), it shows Roodaka sitting with some figures. Were they put there as a nod to the Playset minifigs? (The visorahk, at least looks like the playset minitoy.)
31) Actually, no. I just liked the idea of her having a graphic representation of how she sees everything else as pawns, so I suggested a chessboard of sorts. Resemblance is coincidence, since the artist does not yet have the playsets.
42.)On the second page, there's a flashback of Roodaka telling of her trek up a mountain with a companion. It looks like a green version of Roodaka...would that be a fellow member of her 'species'? 52) Yes
63.)I didn't exactly get Whenua's "This is my territory: Mine: you can't be here:" dialoge, what caused him to say that? 73) Whenua feels a very deep connection to the Archives. And he opens the door and there is a Kahgarak standing there, and in his eyes, his home has been iinvaded by an abomination.
84.) That thing wrapped around the beam, was that a Lava Eel? 9It was supposed to be -- I never really pictured them that color, but I guess with the animation as dark as it was, they felt that making it black or dark red would have made it too hard to see.

2How'd the Rahi Nui end up in the cavern in BC #4?
3Did Makuta "adopt" the RN after the battle in BA #6? (I seem to remember you hinting that Makuta abandoned the RN, and that Nidhiki and Krekka "adopted" it and had it serve them.)
GregF
41) It was eventually able to reconstitute its atoms and that is where it ended up.
52) Rahi Nui was, I believe, bred by the BOM and given to the Dark Hunters for their use. Once it was defeated, obviously the DH could not use it anymore because it was scattered atoms. Once it reconstituted, Makuta put it back to work again.
6Greg

1Here's the questions I sent to GregF. None of the answers are that surprising, all of them are just clarification.
21) Did you say anywhere that Mata Nui made the Toa olda? (I keep hearing members say this, but I've never actually heard it from you. Are they misinterpreting again?)
31) No, I have never said that. Mata Nui rarely intervenes directly like that.
42) Do the Rahaga know where the Avohkii came from?
52) Yes
63) Did the Avohkii originate from somewhere other than Metru Nui?
73) Yes
84) Did the Rahaga stumble upon the Avohkii when they first found it, or did they intentionally look for it?
94) They intentionally went to get it -- see BIONICLE 25 when it comes out, all of this is explained there.
105a) Did the Rahaga obtain the Avohkii before or after they became Rahaga?
115a) Before
125b) Was the Avohkii hidden before or after the Rahaga became Rahaga?
135b) After
1One fast one about Krekka: 21) Is Krekka more dull-witted than others of his species, or is his intelligence typical?3Krekka's species are basically like Orcs -- they're big and strong, and so they don't have to be all that bright.
4Greg

6Does he mean like-cave trolls? Orcs always seemed weak to me.
1Since BIONICLE 25 has Toa Norik and Toa Iruini, does anybody think that one of the Toa Hagah used the Avohkii?
1From the finder of the name "Toa Hagah" comes Toa Nidhiki's Mask power:
2Hi Greg: More Q's for you:
31. Is the Dark Hunters Contes open to LEGO Club members anywhere or just the US and Canada?
42. Can you tell us Toa Nidhiki's mask power?
53. Toa Nidhiki is green and silver, correct?
61) Doing it in other countries would be a problem, because the rules for contests in other countries are different than they are here. That's why we do very, very few global contests. So it's only in US and Canada.
72) Stealth
83) No, he's just green. He's a Toa of Air. Toa Iruini is green and silver.
9Greg
10I'll get back to him on #3 becuse Toa Iruini is gold and green.
1That`s curious. I wonder hwo stealth would be different from Invisibility.

3I would like to point out that Iruini is gold, not silver. And Toa Lhikan was red/gold, and Nidhiki (the Dark Hunter) is Green/Silver, so why he is not as a toa? 1Okay, these are some of my answers from Greg. Answers underlined, comments in blue. WARNING: The spoiler tags contain spoilers from the Rahi Guide:
39-Master of the Rahkshi
21. In Challenge of the Hordika, Matau and Iruini are looking for "protodermis membranes." What exactly are they? 3ANSWER: Basically, thinned out pieces of protodermis that can work like the canvas covering of a zeppelin in our world. 4Okay...that was something I wanted to clear up.
52. In the Rahi Guide, a legend about a mutant Kane-Ra guarding a tunnel maze is mentioned, along with the possibility that the "mutant Kane-Ra" is really an Artakha Bull. Will we find out more about this? Or is that all there is to know? 6ANSWER: See answer to 3.
73. The Guide mentions that the Blade Burrowers seem to be "building something" with the tunnels they carve. Will we find out? 8ANSWER: I like to throw in story hooks wherever I go. Some I may come back to sooner, some I may come back to later, some I may never come back to, depending. All comes down to what fits where. 9Aw, man: I really hope we come back to most of these mysteries:
104. Frost Beetles—will they be encountered on the return to Metru Nui? 11ANSWER: Well, they will still exist there. 12Those things were cool: I hope we see them again...and I hope we see what they do with their newfound abilities.
135. By the way, you probably can't answer this, but will there be stories of the Matoran's efforts to restore Metru Nui while the Toa are off somewhere else? 14ANSWER: Not in the comics. The books will spend a little bit of time on what is going on on Metru Nui, primarily the first two novels, but most of the space is devoted to the new island. 15Darn: Well, maybe online. There's always hope...
218. Will we learn the Avohkii's full history someday? Like, how it was made, who made it, why, and so on? Or is that in Comic 25? 22ANSWER: Not in 25, no. No idea on this one. 23I reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyy hope we find out the Avohkii's history sometime soon.
249. Will we meet the Kraawa in the future? (Yes, I have an obsession with the Kraawa ) 25ANSWER: Don't know. 26*Crosses fingers*
2710. There is mention of a Sea Spider backing away from a krana in the Archives—the only thing that they have ever been afraid of. Is the reason the obvious krana controls all who wear it, or is there another reason? And if it is the first, then how would they know? 28ANSWER: The reason is that, like many creatures, sea spiders can sense there is something just wrong about a krana. 29Ohhhh, okay.
3011. Any particular reason Vahki Hunters go after mechanical objects? 31ANSWER: Same reason dogs chase cars -- because they do. 32Hm. I thought there was more to it than that. Oh well.
3312. In the Guide, it says "Mahika" instead of "Makika." Was the name changed for legal reasons, or is it just a typo? 34ANSWER: Just a typo. 35Good. I'm glad it wasn't changed.
3613. The entry on the Tarakava Nui was interesting. Was it one of Makuta's "experiments" as well? 37ANSWER: Probably. 38Interesting. And all this time we thought it was natural.

4Well, keep in mind the Iruini set was originally planned to be Nidhiki... I would assume Greg is trying not to make the "new" Nidhiki version just be an Iruini clone....
1Wow, all this great stuff. Here's my input:
5I don't think that Nidhiki had his mask by then, keet. I'd believe that he lost it (and got four spider-like legs) when he transformed.

21) Did the Rahaga watch Sidorak eliminate Keetongu's race (and therefore, Iruini doesn't believe that there's a single Keetongu left)?31) No, they did not.

62) Nidhiki's mask power is stealth. Can you give me more detail on it's power? 72) Basically, it makes him partially invisible and able to move in total silence, so it is very hard to detect him. 8Thought so..
93)Did LEGO make the other Toa Hagah's mask powers? If so, what are they? 103) No. Since they are not appearing in the story as Toa at this time, there seemed no point to it. 11Just trying

41) Is there a name for Roodaka's species? If so what is it?
52) Are Roodaka and Sidorak of the same species? If the answer is no, then what is the name of his species?
63) In comic #24, Roodaka and another green male of her species climb the dangerous acid mountain. Is this an initiation ceremony for their species, or what?
7Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it. 8~LORDs_angellos~
91-2) We have not named the species, because it hasn't been important to the story that we do so. No, they are not the same species, they come from different islands.
103) It's a rite of passage.
