1In response to that Blizzard Blade/Ice Bayonet question I have this thought, Bayonet sounds more violent. It's a weapon for stabbing and killing in close quarters if your gun is useless. But blade/sword has been used before, they don't use it for slashing and stabbing much, so it makes sense that they'd use that term again.
1A blade is even more used for slashing and stabbing than a bayonet... At least bayonets can shoot.
